Yep!
X10 Reminded me of my old G1 with a slightly better Screen.
Worlds apart in my Opinion.
KYI (Not one for Long Reviews)
I am actually going to be importing a Telus Desire, even though AT&T just got the X10. as far as i can tell, the only thing the X10 has on the Desire is the camera.
So guys I sold my x10 and bought one. It's so awesome

yea after playing with the X10 in the AT&T store, and then going to the wimpy HTC Aria, i even liked that aria better. so i can't wait to get my hands on that canadian goodness!!!!

Are you going to buy Wildfire S?
If not tell reason.
I'm going to buy because it is very small and easy to handle.
It contain gingerbread os.
Nice look.
Etc.....
Im considering it........
Im due for my upgrade in 2 months and I think Im going to get the Desire HD/Omnia 7, sell it and buy a little android device to play around with and have some cash leftover.....
Wildfire s has 256k color is it true?
Bcoz wildfire has 16M color.
So the Quality of image in Wildfire s is lower than Wildfire?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Apparently it is true
Seems a bit backwards...............
Release date anybody know?
I'm really waiting for it.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
its released on march 21st in the uk I think....
not sure about elsewhere..
Thanks for info.
I got this info
http://blog.phoneslimited.co.uk/2011/02/27/htc-wildfire-s-release-date-confirmed/
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
that seems to be the date that its available sim free...
I think its available on contract a bit earlier.
I read on Cnet that Wildfire s will be running 2.4 version of gingerbread (what they mean is 2.3.3 probably with the bug fixes) and a new sense with app filtering and new notification pull down menu multi tasking.
Yeah I would definitely upgrade for a better screen alone cos face it wildfire home screen fonts looks fuzzy and good games and apps are out of reach. But I thank it for bringing me into the Android world.
Rest in peace.

Isnt this just like the HTC legend now... Spec wise?
I'm sure many budget people will. I think I'm going for the DHD now as it is cheaper.
I cant wait for wildfire s.
So I bought Htc desire.

I already have a wildfire and I do not buy the wildfires.
I'm tired of the small screen resolutions ...
Im getting the Wildfire S for my gf as birthday gift
When's it due to be out?

ETA for Germany is 15.06.

The quoted battery life is worse than the old Wildfire!?

Have read that wildfire s has front facing camera, big improvement there but doubt the quality. The camera and media player has always been downside of wildfire.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire
Even I am willing to get Wildfire S, provided its priced decently.
Else will go for LG Optimus One P500.
Pretty much confused between the two
I have one of these. To be honest it is one HELL of a difference to the normal wildfire. Live wallpapers work smooth, angry birds works smooth and just the look and feel of the device is way better. Comes with gingerbread.
Flaw is the battery life is utter poop. With my 3G on, music on, exchange email the battery lasts about 6 hours if that.
No HTC flashlight or the office applications either. No Tweeter (game). Seems that they got rid of alot of apps. HTC sense works so much better.
^For how much did you get Wildfire S for?
Hi guys, I sold my Droid X which was my first Android device, i'm currently out of a smartphone. How do you guys like your EVO, how is the experience?
Awesome hands down. Imo. No need for another phone at this moment. It just works and this all I need. I would definitely recommend it.

Considering that, if you sign up with Sprint, you get the discounted rate...
You'd be better off getting a 3D, or Photon, or the upcoming SGS2 [couple weeks]
The Evo was a great phone, last year.
Most of the developers have moved, or are moving, away from it.
Hey guys,
So which phones did you guys have before upgrading to the HTC One X?
And if you're planning to buy one, which phones do you currently have?
As for me, I had the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800i, so its a big jump, from a 1GHz single core device to a 1.5GHz Quad-core device the Play had a 5mp camera and 512MB RAM(lol)

I am from almost the same place as you. I had the Xperia Arc.
Sgs2

Coming from an SGS2 and an N8.
HOX is now my only device, and my second HTC after the Desire.
Beautiful piece of kit.
DHD > SGS2 > T-Mobile Rapport (after selling SGS2 waiting for HOX) > SGS (after selling Rapport waiting for HOX) > HOX (My android history)
Before that BB 9700, and various other handsets probably had over 20 handsets.
I9000, also big jump.

HTC desire HD
HTC sensation xe and iPhone 4s. This trumps either with ease, they both had horribly bad battery life counter to what most 4s owners say. Sense on the xe seemed to crash every 10 min... so annoying.

Coming from DisireHD....hated those freakin crappy bat. and sim caps..

SENSATION, i still have it
Galaxy Nexus > One X
I might go with the new Galaxy s III or iPhone 5 soon
HTC Desire from June 2010 to May 2012 .. now enjoying my 1x
Atrix not bad with CM9 but camera and video was broken. To be honest I miss its size much easier to handle than this gorgeous but gigantic screen

I upgraded from galaxy nexus and I'm glad I did. I love pure android but the One X is something else!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Upgraded my HTC Touch HD (since 2008) to the One X.
Major improvement!
Well directly coming from iPhone 4. I mean having an iPhone and its retina, anything less is bad (yes I mean you sneaky lying Samsung) so the htc One X after iPhone is the best way I could have gone!
But there was in between a Galaxy Note for 2 weeks which I had to sell as the AMOLED (with Pentile) made me die a little inside as I was looking at it.
(Was the second time I gave AMOLED a go, and made me regret after 2 mins I started the phone)
Before SGS, htc Hero. (and countless not smartphones except the XDA Stealth)
upgraded from HTC Desire. Still miss it sometimes...
HTC Desire, I loved it, but i hated it's limited memory/space for apps

Agree 100%. Window phones are great. but don't have as many customizations or applications. Coming from an android you might get bored.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
exactly. if u like modifications then choose dhd. if u want to try something new then buy hd7. imo better will be dhd because you can modify this phone in almost every way which fit to you and also you have much more available apps than windows has

Thanks for help
And i forgot to ask you about galaxy nexus s is it worth buying?

Well, the Nexus S still has a pretty good dev community.
Even though Google dropped it from the official 4.2 update list, there's already custom ROMs for it.
Overall, I'd recommend this over the DHD or HD7
im on the sensation XE and i am pretty happy. full s-off, decent rom development. free sim unlock and fully running jellybean.
I think u shouldn't buy something from HTC (One V same hardware as DHD and its actually 3 years old) and because of the miserable build quality of htc phones im really pissed off from my Htc one X
Why the Nexus S not the GNex? in germany the galaxy Nexus cost just 20 bucks more i think u should buy this phone it's really great!
I personally switch to the Nexus 4
Same I would go for the Nexus 4. In the UK the Nexus 4 is £279 for the 16 gb. For the specs that is a big deal!
Thank you guys all of yo,as a matter of fact i got the best offer for nokia lumia 710 which is WP phone so i will be selling my wildfire for sure and buying lumia
Thanks again
Cheers
One thing you should keep on mind that wp7 devices will not be updated to wp8 whereas android phones van be updated to latest version even if the manufacturer stops updating so if you want to buy windows phone then buy only wp8 else you will be stuck forever.

My Desire is still running good after so many years, but i think it really is time to upgrade. But I am not sure what to choose: Xperia Z or S3 Neo?
I wanted something from HTC, but it's either too expensive, either to weak(specs).
Also Ive bought a class 10 32GB card, so no nexus 5..
What would you choose?
Between those two here I would chose Xperia Z2 or Z3 because I'm not a fan of Samsung (besides S2 which is pretty good). But you can try also LG G2 or G3 which have good specs or even try Xiaomi MI3. These chinese are doing a great job with this phones lately!
Good luck!
Get HTC desire 500 or sensation or evo 3d.

Looking there I'd pick Xperia Z

Coming from an everyday user of the Desire, it feels like a trip to the future lol..

Yh they good alright. My gf has one. U not think they a bit big? Chunky like?
After my beloved desire I've had mamy phones. If you want to stay with android take HTC.
Desire s now.

I have a nexus 5 and really like it but I would take an HTC m8 probably just because of the build quality and how long the desire has lasted me.
Grass is always greener on the other side.
Only using my desire as a daily phone because I work in construction. Small compact phone that seems to be indestructible even without a case
