I am getting a replacement EVO in the mail today. I need to flash this phone back to stock. I'm running the very first cyanogen rom. Thanks guys.

This link below should get you started; I have 'unrooted' my EVO a couple times. Of course, there's a ton of other links/posts if you search this forum.

I dont know if you realized but you wrote the sentence as if you were making a comment and not interpreting it as a question about how to go from 2.2 to Stock 2.1.
Also you posted in the wrong forum. This forum is about Development only and you posted a question. You seem to not have realized that and it is fine Don't expect to get hugs and kisses from your comment when you initially did not read clearly about where to post questions. If you are still confused then maybe you this community is not the place you should be at and you should not modify your phone.

Lockscreen format question

Ok sorry for the noob question. I can't find how to change the time and date format on the lockscreen. Currently I can't read the date, the way it is listed its to big. Thanks in advance

Go into Samsung Epic Development and look for the Touchwiz lock.screen fix. It is on the first or second page and flash the stock fix.
Do you BONSAI?

Ahh ok I guess id have to be rooted to flash that. Hrmm I may have to do some more reading. I tried to root a while back with oneclick nd had lots of issues so I gave up. Somewhere between my htc mogul and now I have lost touch with technology. I did all kinds of crazy stuff with that now the simple stuff is giving me issues.lol thanks guys!

Just do the simple.root with one click 2.5.5. It is stickied at the top of development.
Do you BONSAI?

or maybe even gingerbreak.apk root.. though it some people are having issues.. if it works, its very simple no pc needed solution

i am patiently waiting. I miss my old evo rooted. I was actually given a brand new evo that had 2.2 on it and the ota showed up and without thinking i updated. So mad about that.

I understand this is hard work and you guys are doing it all for love (or for something other than money), so I'm not going to add my voice to the chorus asking when the root solution for 2.3.3 will be ready--even though I'm a-yearning and a-craving to upgrade and re-root my phone. I'll just say thanks for now to all you geniuses for making these phones so much better!

Hope it's soon because I'm ready I just got my evo 4g yesterday and tried to superoneclick root and z4root and it didn't work.. Never thought to check and see if 2.3 can root. Damn

And if you had searched, you would have seen this has already been asked!

I bet root will be available when you stop making new accounts just to make the same thread asking the same question over and over again.
If anything, the devs are probably getting tired of the obnoxious kids in the Evo forums badgering them. Instead of trying harder, I'd give up if I were in their shoes.
Believe it or not, there are worst things than not being able to root your phone.

Don't blame you man. The questions he asked he could of found in the same time it took him to actually post his question. You were nice enough to help him and post links, I just cant do that with some people who to me have to be lazy if they can;t find simple stuff. Two question in Q&A today can someone post a link to Decks rom -Really? and this one.. There are a million stock rooted roms in Development and I bet ya Google would of helped him as well...

Ok guys don't blast me. I haven't been on this page in like 2 days because of work. Thanks for finding those links for me Shorty. I don't have the ability to surf the site on PC and it takes too long to surf on the phone and its even more complicated to surf on the app. I thank everyone who helps me on here cuz I know others take time out of the things they have to do to help people like me. And searching Google never led me to any of the links I needed. I try to help however I can when I can. I just don't have a lot of time to actually surf the site. If I search using the app it doesn't bring up the right pages. If I had a PC it would be easier. so thanks again Shorty.
