Has anyone seen the new Ballistic cases for the eyephone? I saw one in person today and I have never been jealous of an iphone before, but if we can't convince them to make this case for the Galaxy, then iphone users will finally have one thing I want.

WTH? That case looks way overkill. If you need something bulletproof like that, then get a rugid phone thats meant to be used in tough situations.
I can just see the avg joe using that case. Its like a soccer mom driving a Hummer....
I kinda like this case. I could see myself using it or something similar when I go mtn bike riding and then using something slim for everyday use.
I'm hoping for an Otterbox case myself. Just in case though, I emailed these guys and requested that they consider making a version for the Vibrant.

I got the same response from Kristen Edge at Ballistic, but I also informed her in a follow-up that the Vibrant is almost identical in all aspects to the original Galaxy S, which has a world-wide market.
I also emailed them with my interest for a T959 case and they responded shortly after with:
"Unfortunately we do not have any plans at this time to make a case for the Samsung Vibrant T-959 phone. However the request was forwarded to our Product Manager."

do you think XDA members are also Otterbox employees? Sign up on their website and they will email you when its available. That's what I did. By this point I'll probably stick with TPU cases, way cheaper, thinner, and protected my phone perfectly when I dropped it on the pavement.
I'm using the Otterbox 1900 PDA case. Near perfect case for me. Though probably too bulky for most people.
Come on! This has been discussed. already. The answer you are looking for is "We don't know when they are coming out!"
Like someone else said, sign up on their website for email updates. The Facebook page is pretty much useless because you are going to get the same answer that everyone else is receiving.

So, Seidio shows products for all US Galaxy S variants, EXCEPT for the Vibrant. What the heck gives?
It just stupid that the Vibrant was the first to hit the market but yet a major manufacturer like Seidio doesn't have squat for them, but does for other carrier's variants.
I emailed them and got a generic canned response about how they have no ETA for any products for the Vibrant.
Guess they won't be getting any business from me.

Yeah, i am a big fan of Seidio products as well.... it sucks. Meanwhile i got some holster from amazon. Will see if its any good, because i really hate my bodyglove case. Makes small phone look like motorolla from 90s

Haha. Nice. I'm pissed about the lack of Seidio. I've always been big fans of their cases. I emailed them too and got the same crap. Chatted live too and they said they won't be releasing anything for the Vibrant. I'm assuming from other discussions here that the fascinate case they are planning to make wouldn't work even with putting some cut outs on the back for the camera location huh?

Seidio seems so overpriced, I don't get the love for them. I work next door to them and they wouldn't even let me do pickup.
I agree I think their stuff is overpriced. I had an innocase on my blackberry 9700 and that thing was cheaply made for what they charge. No thanks.

That looks good. Do you know if they usually offer car docks and desk docks with their cases? That's really what I'm after and what Seidio did well. I have the body give case now and it's great but its compatibility with docks is nonexistent.

Seidio has their Fascinate cases posted. Anyone have access to one to try to see how it fits with the Vibrant? I know the cut outs are different but those could be easily modded. They also have the snap holster that I'm assuming would probably work based on the other posts about holsters.
I also want a seido case...
I have emailed Seido and chatted with them through their website, requesting they make us a holster.
If enough of us do the same, then maybe they will see the demand and actually do something about it...

That is the greatest thing I've heard all day. I will be first in line once it launches.
Place holders are on the website and awaiting pics. Can't pre-order yet as they are not showing in stock. I was prepared to order sight unseen. That is the confidence I have in the product. I can't wait for a quality holster.
Are the extended batteries from them usually decent? It doesn't seem like much of a boost from the normal 1500 mAh battery, and at $50 it seems ridiculously steep. But i can't help but be a little curious.

Just a heads up, I gave my GT-10 back to Zagg yesterday at their request to make a portfolio with a keyboard loaded in it. They said they'd have it for 2 or 3 weeks to finalize the product.
Sounds like its going to be a leather or leatherette type portfolio, not a hard one. I'll take pics of it when I get it back. They said they'll send me one with it when they send it back.

I have a zaggmate for my iPad and I honestly think it is one of the best accessories for any tablet
I picked up my GT10 from Zagg's office today. They said the case's tooling will be ready to go on the 15th of July and they'll start production then. Once they get one they'll send one my way. I'll post pics once I get it.

Between developing the invishield and the portfolio case their marketing department had my I/O GT-10 for almost a month over 2 separate instances. I hope and expect that they were doing exactly as they said. I dropped the Tab at their offices in SLC and picked it up each time from the person who sourced it from me for both products they were developing.
I'd keep in mind I believe they use a 3rd party fufilment company to answer their 1-800 number. Not sure if they would know of it if you called them. As with every company, there's lots of layers and not everyone may be in tune with product releases.

This finally showed at my office today. I'll see about taking some pics of it tonight and hooking it up to the SGT10.
Interesting development, I can't exactly slide the tablet out of the folio. I worked on it for 45 mins last night and couldn't slide it down out of the case more than an 1/8th an inch.

I sent otterbox an email after asking on there facebook page if they were going to have a case for the SGN and there reply was >

Not having an Otterbox won't be a dealbreaker for me but I sure hope they make one. I loved the otterbox I put on my Bionic before I decided to return it due to the lackluster pentile screen.

Apparently they're still looking into it.
Not having an Otterbox is certainly not a dealbreaker, but it is disappointing if they don't release one. We already missed out on the Nexus S defender that never went into production.
Those that want an Otterbox, I encourage you to tweet or FB them urging for a case. The more interest they get from us the better our chances of a case coming out. If they don't get many people asking, they'll figure the public isn't interested.

I don't think you'll get a defender you might get a commuter like they had for the SGS2
But I tried the commuter out and it was as slippery as an eel NOT like for the iphones Also to mention the commuter was made for the unlocked version and it didn't line up the mic hole on the AT&T version
that's why I'm going with the AGF Ballistic If it matches up all the hardware right.
I do like the case-mate Tough case but I don't like that empty space on the bottom

Too blurry to see. I hope this means we won't have different cases for the lte and gsm version. I was worried this would make finding accessories a pain in the ass. I don't usually use a case but it's nice to have around.

I believe the LTE version is .5mm thicker, but the cases should be pretty universal...

Went by a local Verizon store tonight. Asked about cases and screen protectors. Pulled my GNEX out to reinforce what I was asking about.
Blank stares followed by "uh, no we don't carry them" comments. Basically they acted like they saw something from the future and had no clue.
Op , were they on the floor or did you have to ask them to "check the back?"
I may try a few other stores tomorrow.

I got the black silicone case and 3pack of screen protectors. The case is meh...but the screen protectors are actually pretty nice!
They didn't have the accessories "on the floor"...had to ask for them. Man did I feel elitist after they gawked for a good 10 mins playing with my nexus..lol

Please tell me why i would have a reason to lie? the original employee acted like he did not know, i then asked for the manager. Manager s a fellow Android enthusiasts and i guess sympathetic. Truth is all Verizon regional managers have one and have bee holding trainings with the stores on the phone and ICS. He even went on to tell me theres is coming the 8th/9th. Most likely that Thursday.Displays,paperwork and accessories are already in store. Original launch ws supposed to be Thanksgiving midnight, but was cancelled. If he was bs'ing me IDK. but it all falls in line with the rumors online

I've visited 4 Verizon stores in Utah today and all are mum about cases and screen protectors for the GNEX. I'm 0 for 4 and just wanted to know what the magic word was that convinces them to sell these accessories to you because nothing is working for me.

im sorry i did not mean to come off like that.. Maybe it was the fact that i went in there with a not going to take a no for answer attitude. Try walking in a saying " I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus from overseas. I know it is going to be an exclusive here with you guys. I was told when i called that you had accessories in stock in preparation for your DEC 8TH release. I would like to buy one now.. Thanks" then show him the phone and my video if ya like
Actually its more like some reps/managers are so snooty they dont want to bother going to the back because the commission is not big enough. Try buying a phone and see how much they bend over.
