Hi I flashed the custom 2.1 ROM, but since there's a lot of stuff that doesn't work. So I want to flash back to the original rom. But how do I do this. I can't find the original ROM to flash the phone.
I tried the tool from LG but it stops at 4% flashing and then it tells me that the connection has to be reinitiated. But it just keeps saying that.
Any Ideas would be gratefull

Totally agree, I need to restore the stock rom. I don't know why there is no category for LG GW620 too

as i've understood the problem is that after upgrading to android 2.x we can't go back to our original firmware 1.5 and that is due to a conflict between the two baseband...anyway there is a rom that can allow us to come back to android 1.5 and it is called ToleRom0.8

Ive been looking through some of the posts on the Android development board, but im relativly new to the idea of flashing different roms.
At the moment my phone is running the standard Froyo 2.2.2 firmware, from Motorola,
system version 34.164.3.MB525.Retail.en.FR
Is it a simple process to change this?
can i go back to the default Rom/version( listed above)? or would i be stuck with, say, cyanogenmod 2.3.4?
would i still be able to use the Motorola phone portal to send texts via my p.c?

Follow this tutorial..everything is given in this..
The process is simple..u may face few problems flashing a ROM,just search in this forum for the solution.
Well yes u can go back to your stock ROM if you have the sbf file or an nandroid backup.
Yes phone portal is present in CM7 also..so not a problem.
All the best
Thanks for the link, although im still non the wiser.

Hi
I have a LG E973. I installed Cyanogen Mod on it. Right now, it is giving me some problems. I would like to know if it is possible at all to install the Software OS that came with the phone which LG had it pre-installed when I bought the phone.?
I didn't do a back up when I put Cyanogen Mod on it because I didn't think I would need it. Is it still possible to revert to the OS version manufacturer originally put on your phone?
Please advise.
Thanks
Like I said on your other thread just install the KDZ for your country via LG PC Tools...
So I flashed an unofficial build of CM12, literally hours before the official version came out, and now I want to go back to LG's stock software KK 4.4.2. But I'm new to flashing so I just watched a youtube video on flashing CM12 and did it. Now I can find no way to go back. I did try to use the LGflashtool, but my DL failed. Also, I'm not sure what my build number is. I think it's LG D855 10l but I'm not too sure because when I got he phone it was in English and not from India as the 10l suggests. I also have TWRP installed. I did no backup's or recovery, but the original software should still be in the internal memory right?
So what do I do guys? Did I goof?

The original software is gone, its not saved anywhere on the phone.
You need to find your stock file and flash it with the lg flash tool, its the only way to get back to stock in your situation.
Sorry, but I won't be able to help beyond that.

Well, thanks for the tip
At this point, it seems like I'd be better off keeping CM12 for a little while, no? I don't have the time or hear to fix this right now

If this is posted in the wrong area, I apologize.
I have a rooted LG G3 with TWRP running KitKat. No custom ROM (I rooted it primarily so that I could write to the SD card).
Lately my phone has running strangely lately. It becomes unresponsive for >10 seconds from time to time. Sometimes I press the power button and it won't wake up. So I want to reset my phone and upgrade to Lollipop and load a custom ROM (maybe Cyanogenmod or Cloudy custom ROM). I'm going to use TWRP and Titanium to back everything up on the phone first.
I haven't loaded custom ROMs since my HTC EVO 3D, so it's been a while. I had some (very) basic questions:
If I do a factory reset, will I lose root? I really want to get rid of the stupid non-responsive problem, but I don't want to lose root.
If I load a custom ROM, do I need a specific version of Android to do it? I don't want to load and incompatible ROM and brick my phone.
I've seen posts of people trying to go back to KitKat. Are there any issues with Lollipop that would make my phone issues worse?
Since I can't take OTA updates, how would I upgrade my Android if I have to? Will I lose root if I upgrade?
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Thanks for replying. I have a LG D851 (T-Mobile).
So far I've done a nandroid backup and used titanium backup for apps and data.
I downloaded CloudyG3 2.5. Does this contain the Android update, or do I have to update Android before loading Cloudy?

I just have to boot into recovery, wipe dalvik, system, data, and cache, install Cloudy, and I'm good, right?
