Separating Digitizer & Display

Hi,
My problem: Two months ago, the display of my Alpine (HTC 2020i) crashed (not the digitzer). I bought a new display from china for 80$.
This worked for about 2 weeks, then, suddenly the background-light did not work any more. While trying to reopen the device (for checking the connectors) the digitizer broke and the phone is almost unuseable.
My idea would be to separate the digitizer (which should work) from my old display and replace the broken digitizer with the old one.
Will this work? How to separate the two things? Is it possible without breaking it?

digitizer and display
it will work only if u will manage to put the digitizer correctly without distrubing the gas pattern on it recently my digitizer stop working so i sreviced it from a repairing center but i m not setisfied at all as i have to re align the screen twice or more in a day. so be careful while changing the digitzer do not press it too hard and check the youtube for the videos for how to change the digitizer they help u.

It is easy to replace the digitizer than the display.In this case one would have to b accurate to pull out the digitizer.There are 98% chance that it will fail, when remove digitizer from a broken display.My experience of fixing 100s of digitizers in various phones..including Palm and Athena

LCD Screen broken !!!

I managed to break my LCD of XDA IIi, I managed to find the screen from ebay but i'm confused as ther are two models is says the first generationa nd the 2nd, one with silver flex and the other with a gold flex.
Which one would fit my Alphile, O2 XDA IIi. Please help me to find one. I'm in france...

take your xda apart.look on your board,if its a generation 1-it will be a slide in cable/a generation 2 is a clip on version.i have a version 1[slide in] for sale if you need one.pm me

I also broked/scratched my XdaIIi screen (my 3 years old daughter ), the phone continued to work, but when i rebooted it, it started to ask me to touch the target to align the screen.
But it doesn't work...no alignement...
When i touch it i can hear the plastic cover, but the screen is also scratched/broked.
Any solution?

It seems that you have to change a new screen for your phone. You can go to the nearest phone store and fix it. I always think the phone store is safer than online shop cause you can watch when they fix it.

Change a new one....That problem is annoying especially when you have to make a call and that happens.

I hv just purchased a gen 2 for my m1000. SO how to decide is to open ur Device and chk the part no. OR look at the connecting cable Gen1 is insertion type (Sandwich) and Gen2 is Cap type it looks like Plug. AND b4 purchse i cooked a rom which is without The Welcome and Touch Alignment so if u wish i will upload it for u.

Touch Diamond LCD

Suddenly the LCD of my Touch Diamond was not working anymore (always Black) but i can feel that it is still operational when touching it (I called my friend by mistake).. I took it to a private mobile repair shop, and said that it needs to be replaced, and took arround 200 $. But the problem is that i don't know if he really replaced it or not? Can we know somehow from the S/N of the LCD that it has been replaced or not?

[Q] Xperia Play Digitzer Dead?

Hi, today my play's digitzer crapped out The bottom inch of the screen has been unresponsive in the past but has evetually began to work again.. Today it just stopped the top half of the screen works fine. I'm guessing it's a faulty digitzer. My question is do you think I should replace the digitizer via a 3rd party company or do you think I should go to o2? I have an unlocked bootloader (testpoint method) I know my warranty is void but do you think they'll pick up on it? I remember having the problem way before I even unlocked as well - Any suggestions?

Well I bought a digitizer of eBay and it worked fine put it in myself... There are allot of videos on how to disassemble the phone... So that's a cheap option for you...

I bought myself one too, on AMAZON you can get one for 20€

ZE551ML : new screen unresponsive... any idea?

My Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML)'s screen was more and more unresponsive, so I decided to replace it myself.
I bought a 5-stars rated one from aliexpress (not the cheapest, right model, trusted sellers, 100+ reviews on this product).
I carefully replaced the screen using the right tools.
My Zenfone boots OK, the new screen display is OK...however it is totally unresponsive!
I tried a factory reset: same problem...
I rechecked every connection 5 times (especially the 2 ribbons of the screen -one connected just above the battery, the other one to the motherboard): same problem...
Any idea of what could be wrong? Or is it just simple as connecting the 2 ribbons stated above? A ground issue?

Doen the phone work any better with the old screen? Maybe the replacement is defective?
I bought a cheap screen from eBay and had no problems after replacing my busted screen.

Unfortunately the old screen is useless since I cut its ribbons to ease its disassembly...
