WHEN IS HTC TOUCH PRO 3 COMING OUT? And will it come with WP7? Does anyone know, or has anyone heard any rumours?
(except for that moron who thought it was coming out this summer according to his "source")
It was originally meant to be this summer, it was going to be HTC's last WM6.5 handset I believe. It obviously hasn't appeared though and nothing at all has been heard about it in ages (possibly even this year, think it was around the HD2 launch when rumours of the TP3 were circulating?).
It might be a WP7 handset. Then again HTC might have shelved the project, they don't seem massively keen on hardware keyboards these days.
I don´t think we will see an upgrade for Rhodium before than 1Q 2011
If HTC ever made it...
(hope I am wrong)
I think it is really time now for a touch pro3 ( or any other name )
Apple already launched version4.
Htc is very late this time.
Hope they come with something new, as soon as possible, because tp2 is starting boring..
HTC 7 Pro
Is the Touch Pro 3,
I'm sure you've seen it already. It looks just sexy but they say its only coming out for Sprint in the US.
I hope they come put with a GSM version or UK version, i will be picking that one up!
The TP3 will be out in the 2Q of 11 just before the summer

well it doesn't seems very exiting to me this specs ... with no hspa an no front camera and less RAm then DHD .. the only thing that I've appréciated here is the internal memory .. finaly HTC had to put a real capacity on their device.
I don't really care about mindblowing hardware specs, it's the OS that's giving me the boner.
Dimensions on that pic are a mistake. The dimensions leaked earlier are more realistic, almost identical to the HD2.
hopefully all the hardware inside will be the same as HD2 so it make porting to hd even better. even tho ts must be different with HD2
so its basically a windows 7 HD2. early reports are that the screen is lack luster

Yes, and with a kickstand that will be broken in about a week...
As you already know, WP7 is only available to GSM providers. Leaving out US cdma carriers like Verizon and Sprint. But there is a slimmer of hope for those under the Big Red. A few apps from Verizon had made it to the marketplace, such as My Verizon Mobile. Verizon is the biggest carrier in the US and may give WP7 the push it needs. Also may WP7 up to other CDMA carriers like US Cellular

Dell isn't on the list....wonder what that means....
They still haven't fix the only WP7 phone they released, maybe this isn't such a loss.
True, but I prefer the Dell set-up compared to the other phones (vertical slider phone, with AMOLED screen)....
the design from dell is good
but dell killed their own device. I have no sympathy for dell
But then again, Nokia isn't on there. So maybe don't read too much into it?

Nokia was on there, I watched it live. See that big empty space in the middle, there was a big Nokia logo appearing just there.

According to engadget it doesn't mean much. Only that while LG, Samsung, HTC and the three new manufactures have now more or less announced a new Windows Phone 7 (or at least promised to release one), Dell was not yet able to say they will.
Time will tell and Dell might be back or not, but I guess it's Nokia that will sell the majority of phones.
According to http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire...artphones-as-apple-closes-the-gap-on-android/ , WP7 sales in Q4 is about ≈ 1.4% total

Hmm, it's definitely not good...
They don't, but at the same time, keep in mind that the iPhone 4S came out in the previous 3 months, which is going to heavily skew the numbers.
After the next 3 months, with the new Nokia phones coming out, I think MS will see an uptick for sure.
Yeap no surprises there; I have a WP device my self and it runs perfect but when I can't transfer files via Bluetooth to some one who needs the ASAP or I can't freaking attach an audio file to mms what do you expect? Especially since this technologhy has been around since forever! Come on Why can't I add a simple wallpaper to my start screen? because MS says it takes away from the Metro UI? That has got to be the gayest **** I've ever heard. No one wants to use the stupid ass cloud for everything; granted it is good for extra storage and is excellent if your phone breaks down and you need your data back but not for everthing. Zune, don't get me started on Zune, the reason I got a WM device verses an iPhone is because of iTunes and now Windows pulls this B.S. where everything I do has to be done through Zune? This is MS own fault and they better wise up or they will loose.
Is this US or worldwide?
No feeding of the trolls please.

"Tizen OS porting Wave 1-2-3?"

What I understand is that it would need to be ported but that it would be possible.
It would be a big surprise if Samsung release Tizen update for Waves.
But let's dream and wait a bit. Maybe we are going to have the surprise as iphone 3GS owner with ios 6 !
With our long years experience with Samsung, it is obvious that Samsung will never update WAVE 1-2-3 to Tizen. It's not in the line of Samsung's way of thinking.
Though we have rights to dream and dream big dreams, all dreams with Samsung usually end in shattered dreams. So better save our dreams for hopes of new fresh Tizen phones (if any).
sorry but not a useful or inspiring thread, all he's saying is that an "update" to tizen is possible only by a third party in the same vein of porting bada to our devices, and everyone has seen how well that has went so far.
I would say "please don't trust this guy"
He claimed before to have a dual boot between bada 1.2 & 2.0
Also as i can see it is non-official news
Best Regards
