Ghetto Dock 1.0

So i realized i had a problem.. i had no dock. I saw some other self made docks around the forum and realized i didn't have any of the supplies So i made my own.
Required:
1 red cup
2 Screws
1 push pin
2 Screw anchors (thx MV10 for clearing that up )
Basically place the cup upside down, place the two screws equally apart on the bottom, place the two screw holsters on the sides of the push pin (mine fit fairly snug actually) then find the spot you'd like to angel your phone with and place it in, put the phone on and verify you like how it feels (might take a few adjustments here and there). Enjoy
I know it's extremely ghetto but hey it's labor day, and i'm at work (sucks) and there was nothing to do!
Attached is an image of the final product.

Sure it's ghetto, but it works and I'll bet you weren't bored for about half an hour finding the supplies and putting it together. Plus you can feel self satisfied whilst you watch your video

Sooo True! the cool thing about this is, the bezel on the phone actually kinda locks into the screws...the only funny thing is when i get a text the entire cup starts moving rofl.. Watching Kick-Ass on it right now too Working perfectly for what it's worth

Man that guy put a lot of effort into that paper clip. Maybe to much, but I can really appreciate his efforts and willingness to share.

Haha, I was @ work earlier when i made the dock... and the funny thing is i couldn't find a freakin paperclip which led me to using the red cup, the screw anchors and the screws (from a d-link switch box) rofl...

Thanks...I could of made it nicer, I just did it during some free time at work today. But appreciate your commments thanks....maybe ill add some carbon fiber to make it more flashy

Thanks! I dont know if I would have time to make them to demand....but Ill try to make a couple just for fun...Ill keep you guys updated on that...as for price..I really wouldnt know...I figured whatever is cost of shipping plus a couple bucks.
Also only way I could make them is to set it for a naked vibrant since any cases would not aling with the micro usb due to size differences.
Edit 1: Also, Would you guys use your stock vibrant usb cable?
Edit 2: I could actually make simple docks without the charge port like this

Yea same here

I would buy one. If your original one uses the stock USB connection I'd prefer that. I use the invisible shield so naked fit is fine as well.

nice dock, unfortunately my stock cable SUCKS. After a short while of using it, the cable no longer maintains a proper connection. I have to hold the connector at a certain angle or else it will disconnect, and sometimes even switch back and forth between connected and disconnected really fast causing problems for programs trying to access the sd card. I had to go out and buy a blackberry cable.

[IDEA] Zipper Lockscreen - we've got a few concepts!

Hi there!
I've got an idea for a lockscreen. When you turn on the screen a zipper appeares and has to be pulled down in order to unlock the screen. There could be different zipper types to choose from and also an option to choose between a vertical and a horizontal orientation of the zipper, maybe even diagonal. A nice animation of the aligner in the sort of it hanging loose would be great. Besides that the textures should be customizeable, like a leather or a silk background, for instance, to polish the things even further. During the unlock process the texture would be "pealed" aside and reveal the homescreen.
I hope I could explain my idea properly. Maybe we could collect a few more ideas and improvements until some talented programmer gets interested in making one.
Since I don't have the skills to do it myself I thought I'd post here so that maybe a talented person gets interested.

Why not? It's norhing special, really. Just a different kind of animation. Besides, since 2.2.1 there is already an option to set a lock screen background (which unfortunately doesn't work for me).
We should vote this thread up to drag some attention to this... Thanks for the mental support so far, guys

Lock screen zipper should reveal womans panties followed by a live wallpaper with the same panties and a little happy android poking up and down looking really happy. The creator of such a thing would instantly be elevated to the position of my main house god.
Ps: Good thing you shoose a zipper, a bra´s unlocking mechanism would be near impossible to synthezise as its real world implementation is still not fully mastered by any man...

Got my car holder today

Very good service from ultimate-mobiles.co.uk, ordered yesterday and didn't expect it to be here when I got home.
Here's some pics I took. Gonna fit it in the car shortly. I like the way the legs come down and recess again if you don't want them there. And I like the white release button on the back. Also, the side clamps aren't big,ugly and obtrusive like many others. A very cool little black and white vent holder which I trust to hold the phone more than many others I checked out.

Looks really nice buddy, I'm thinking of ordering the vent mounted one too. At the moment I have a suction cup one that I used to use with my nexus s. The problem is the galaxy s2 is thinner than the nexus so my mount doesn't quite hold it so sturdily. These look ideal, any chance of pics with it installed so I can see what it looks like? Cheers

I forgot to do pics in landscape mode. So yea, there's a knob on the back which loosens off and then tightens so you can rotate to landscape mode.
I've tested with some emergency brake stops, and the phone feels very solid in the holder, not shaking itself out. Also, you can adjust the vertical and horizontal angles so you can get the phone facing exactly where you want to the millimetre.

I got the suction cup version of this after I realised the magnet in my magnetic mount was screwing with the compass!
It's been serving me well for six months. I don't use the foldy out feet - it grips well enough without them.

Nexus 4 Backplate Background

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love the pattern found on back of the device ---- so I made a background out of it. :laugh:
I made it from scratch based on macros I've seen floating around (so yes, it has the angled pattern). Once I get the device, I'll be sure to make an updated one that makes the pattern the exact same size as the dots on the back. :good:

Current res works fine, at least that's what I'm using on my 1080p dispays. Either way, I added one for you.:good:

Yeah, the points glow/get dark randomly without moving the phone which hasn't much sense. It'd be AWESOME if it changed the pattern when moving the phone.. and if it used the light sensor to change the pattern I'd pay for that one.
