I want to put clockworkmod 2.5.0.5 in Rom manager. I seem to remember there being a way to download it to the all clockworkmod recoveries section but for the life of me can't find how to do it again. Does any one know what im looking for?

Hey there, was wondering if the newer clockwork mod recovery would install the updated amon_ra? Or is the only way to get it in that annoying instruction thread where I feel like I'm being talked down to in the disclaimer?
Thanks!

I also have the Amon_ra on HD 004 and would like to use the new clockwork mod. I might give it a few days until all the bugs are worked out though seeing that alot of people are having problems
Do you have Rom Manager? I use it to switch between Clockwork and Amon Ra. You don't even have to power off the phone for the switch.
No I don't have It as of now, but 1 click of the a button I could.
But does the amon_ra that clockwork install have the new partitions? Anybody know?

So? Anybody know? This seems to be a huge oversight that could eff people's phones.

Your best bet is to download a copy of the modified Amon RA and only flash that one. Once you get the hang of flashing images it's simple to do.

What device does a Defy user choose for ClockworkMod recovery? Defy is not a choice.

If you look at the FAQs/guides thread in the Development subsection, it includes a link to a thread detailing how to install ClockworkMod for the Defy.
Thanks for the reference. That's what I needed.

I'm wondering if we can use ClockworkMOD for defy inside ROM Manager. Seems to me it only needs a custom-made recovery.img and we're good to go...
Here's custom CWM for Defy.
Be sure to Thank kb7sqi for his great work!

Click to collapse
you can backup/restore your system with Clockwork Recovery manager but it isn't possible to flash a non signed kernel with it.

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but it might help.

There is a list of recoveries listed using the link on that page.
Good luck, and I hope this helped.
All cwm recovery versions can be found on dougpiston.com I believe. If I recall correctly, using RM you can incrementally downgrade, but I think youchave to find older version of rom manager ...

I installed clockwork mod recovery from rom manager, is it possible to switch that for twrp and if so how?

Go into Doc's thread stickied in Dev section and download the TWRP.zip and flash it. Yep, that easy.
Or you can install Goomanager from market and install recovery that way. You may incur some overwrite issues. Maybe not though.
