Hi,
Is there anyway to customize it to launch an application simaler to how cyanagon settings allow you to launch a program by holding down home?
At the moment it lauches/closes the keyboard which in my opinion in pointless when you have the htc_ime keyboard. Would this be a difficult thing to change?

Is it possible to add a full size menu button much like the search button was added. I tried ICS on an older phone and the menu button seemed to work in even the native apps. I hate the look of the dot one that comes up in stock ics and with the mod to make it appear all the time. Ideal for me would be to make the button layout identical to my droid incredible. So home, menu, back, and search. Hold home down for the app switch. Hold menu for keyboard. Hold search for voice search. This has to be possible somehow since its all software keys now.
Hi,
I use the menu key a whole lot more than multi task. How hard would it be to remap the multi task key to act like a menu key? Is it even possible?

If the apps is according to the new ICS look, Holo I think the theme is called, then the menu button is on the top right of the screen.
Seems to me it would be a hassle to press a button on the bottom right and then move youre finger to the top right to actually use the menu.
On apps not yet fitted for ICS I can understand what u mean, however this problem should hopefully be almost gone within not too long.
Would love to remap the useless.most recent programs button to act as a google search button, much like a long press on menu on my s2 does...
There are several threads about this. Here is one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480130
I just got my One X, so haven't tried anything myself.
But being able switch songs with the volume buttons while locked is what I'm looking for.
A must when you're outside in heavy rain or snow.
Now, I know I'm probably the only one who wants to do this, but...
Just coming from an EVO LTE, and I used my App Switcher button all the time (after moving to CM10 of course), and would love to be able to remap Menu to App Switcher for fast multitasking.
Similarly, having done so, I'd like to enable the App Overflow ("three button menu" button) in apps. I'd like this even if the hardware keys can't be remapped, as the S-Pen doesn't work with the hardware keys, and it would give me one more on-screen thing I can use.
Thanks!
Is it possible to map the menu key (long press) to show all recent apps without installing a custom rom? I am willing to root to get this function but I really don't want to deal with custom roms. Is there maybe an app or something I can flash that can do this? I'm currently stock unrooted with Nova launcher, which only allows me to map the menu key (long press) to recent apps if I'm at the home screen.
I haven't been able to do what you're asking, but have had success enabling the onscreen soft keys. This requires root:

Some things are a little wonky with soft keys: the top entry of the call log is cut off and fast forwarding video with the default player while in landscape mode doesn't work. Small price to pay IMO for easy access to the multitasking menu.
Hello,
i'd like to remap touch buttons on my Desire Z. I'm using SENSEI ROM (dont know if it's related).
Where is the keymap file located? Is it possible to bind on long press? I'd like to have it this way:
Home: open all apps
Search: app switcher
TP press: go home
And 1 more thing: on locked screen it is possible to change ringtone volume. It'd be great to disable this. Is it possible?
Thank you very much.
