NEW ROM for HTCP3600? - P3600 ROM Development

1st question:
Where i can Find new ROM for HTC?
i'm using a beautiful ROM with windows 6.5
but the battery level is not good not much autonomy
2nd question:
is possible to cook an ANDROID ROM for htcp3600 trinity?
where i can find it?
many thanks

Hi...
for the first question, there is lot's of tom's for the trinity, the best roms (in my modest opinion) are the ones from nar&ickle and supersport. take a look at theme but don't expect more than 3 days of autonomy (or less, if you use too much the bluetooth, wireless, gps...) because that is what the battery life give.
for your second question: keep dreaming. if you want android, then my modest advice is samsung galaxy S. (more details about this is using the search option)

autonomy? like in Palestina?

[Q] Which ROM for best battery life but w stock Sense feel (for the wife's phone!)?

Hi,
I'd appreciate some advice (having searched as best I can first, and without hijacking another thread) - I'm a Nexus One user (running CM6.1, and very happy with it), but my wife's Desire (currently unrooted stock latest OTA update) has a sucky habit of running the battery down to zero every so often when she's not using it and I've been thinking a custom ROM is the way to go. However, there's a lot of roms for the desire, and I can't work out which meets the requirements best:
1) Must appear to be a stock Sense rom to the user (she's just got used to the UI, and I don't want her to get flustered) - I'd like something that seems as much like the stock rom as possible please.
2) Best possible battery life (happy to try uv if it's unobtrusive)
Any replies very much welcome, ta.
Jim
I prefer not to say which ROM is better compared to other ROMs as I think it would be unfair on the developers who have put in so much hard work to bring us such a great variety of ROMs, but in terms of battery life, I would personally say that I had the best battery performance out of OpenDesire. The only problem though is that OpenDesire does not have Sense UI. With it, I was averaging about 2-3 days (depending on usage) use out of it before I need to put it on the charger. At that time, I was also running a different Radio (5.10.05.23).
If you really need Sense UI, then I would suggest LeeDroid's ROM as it provides pretty good battery life as well.
Have you considered the MIUI ROMs? they are pretty new and highly customisable, with an iOS like interface with widgets, also provide impressive battery life and are very stable.
I'm sure many would disagree with my findings but this is just based on my own experience of using these ROMs.
MasDroid,
Many thanks for the advice - I've gone with LeeDroid and it's worked like a charm. A well supported and stable ROM, which I'll recommend to anyone in the same position.
Thanks again!
J
I second MasDroid's opinion about LeeDroid ROM.
I am glad you're enjoying such a good ROM. Hope your wife is happy, i know how important that is

quadrant results are one thing, real life performance is another, i can mount a loop and you'll have quadrant scores 2500+ doesn't mean it's the fastest rom.
battery drain. Depends on many factors besides rom. Factors are like what kernel do you use, what Radio do you use, what carrier you have, what apks do you use etc. It is not just as simple as is sounds. Real example: on my rom 90% of users are rating battery ussage way above average (some even say it's the best) while 10% claim battery drains.
A day is not enough to test a rom even for a hard core user / flasher. After flashing a rom builds some caches etc. so it may seem its slower and drains more power in the 1st 24hrs maybe 36.

[Q] What is the best rom for Artemis?

I know, it is the old question that someone have asked before. However, now we have many cooked roms are developed for Artemis, so it still is the question that many Artemis's members want to know.
The criteria for selecting are:
- work well with all basic functionality of phone (call, sms, gprs, gps, wifi,...)
- good design (based on your eyes )
- quite good performance
I'm a newbie but i have tried 3 rom:
- HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R:
excellent with basic functions, performance, but design is very bad.
- BLACK & BLUE v5.0 ROM WM6.1 CE OS 19716
good performance, basic functions, quite good in design
- IgGord_ROM_29017_Manila2_ArteImg_0409
quite good in basic function (except wifi is very bad)
performance: so so, some latency (sometime)
Design: very beautiful
So, of cause, now i dont have any answer for my question. Please raise your choice and write some review for other readers.
P/s: who are tried [WWE] Today as Windows Phone 7 WM 6.5.3 build 23699 ?
try andrew82 rom, probably the fastest rom for artemis
personaly ive seen it at 32mb free ram
Rn
yeah, I also would recommend andrew82 rom. stable fast, but not the best with the design. but you every other rom with a beautiful design I tested became slower and slower every day.
So if you want a good design, I recommend to buy a new phone with a better CPU and a lot more ram.

[Q] Best autonomy between froyo/Miui and Gingerbread roms

hi it's again me i have a simple question to ask you wich rom has the best battery autonomy using sense 2.1 ! gingerbread? Miui? or froyo please tell me what's the best thank you veryy much guys
No way to tell.. You'll need to try them out and find the ones you like/find least battery consuming.
I've seen plenty of people trying to compare battery life on different roms based on anything from feeling to sleep voltage numbers to screen battery consumption, and it just isn't anything to go by.. The numbers are completely random from device to device and from user to user(depending on how you use the device), so no there is no one great/low battery consumption rom EOS
I'll suggest oxygen as a nice and lightweight aosp rom, but try different ones out
In my opinion, Gingerbread(Android 2.3.x) Roms must be much better than Froyo(Android 2.2.x) Roms. And if you are looking for the Rom with the best battery, I may tell you that Miui is you last choice...

[Q] Which ROM is the best for me?

Hi,
I would like to install a custom ROM (+ root my phone). Now I'm using the stock Jelly Bean but I think that it drains a lot of battery (one charge lasts in about 10 hours and I just stream music via TuneIn + 20 mins Ingress and I think that isnt too much and phone should endure more).
I'm searching for a good ROM with great stability a performance. The main requirement is the battery life. Also the shoud run on a JB (4.1 or 4.2). I found CM 10.1 but is it convenient enough for me?
Thanks for your advices
I think is OrDroid
However, moderators don't like this gener of thread...
Ordroid is apparantly THE best for Battery Life.
Also give Blade ROM a go, VERY LIGHT ROM therefor easy on battery.
Those 2 are brilliant for battery, ViperX not so good for battery, but great for customisation.
PS - This thread will be closed, this isn't a question that can necessarily be answered, its personal preference based on the way YOU use YOUR phone.
Oh, I am sorry about that but I don't know where should I ask.
You are recommending me a Sense ROMs but what if I want original Android? Is there any which meets with my requirements?
Moderator update,
This thread is closed. These type of questions are hard to answer as a rom will work differently for each person using it. Best thing to do is to try different ones for your self
