[PROGRAM] One Click Root / UnRoot / All Models for (Mac and PC) - Galaxy S I9000 Android Development

Team,
This One-Click Root process will copy over the rooted-update.zip or unroot-update.zip file then reboot your phone. Follow the instructions in the CMD prompt that launches.
I have another thread for the I9000 only! It is for rooting 2.1 ans 2.2 JP2. I added this thread because I9000M users don't have a forum yet. This app will work will all released Galaxy S phones for 2.1 stock only!!
Credits:
LeshaK at Samdroid: for the original rooted-update.zip.
gunnarhafdal : for creating the Mac GUI for my app.
This has been tested on stock Android 2.1 Eclair only. If you rooted using another process you can use this process to unroot as long as you didnt load a rom that created links to busybox.
For the following models:
GT-I9000
Captivate SHG-I897
Vibrant SGH-959
GT-I9000M
Epic SPH-D700 (Untested but should work like other phones. Post with your results. This is harmless it will either work or it wont. It copies over 3 files to your existing build.)
Rooting adds the following to your system and unrooting removes them:
/system/xbin/busybox (version 1.17.1)
/system/xbin/su
/system/app/Superuser.apk (version 2.3.1)
and links /system/bin/su to /system/xbin/su
More will follow as they are released. PM me to add your Galaxy S Model.
Warning: I am not responsible for bricked phones, rooting can void your warranty....

Mac Instructions:
Download the app: here, mirror.
It requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.

=====================================================================
Done! You are rooted.
=====================================================================
Un-Rooting Instructions:
To Un-Root follow the same instructions except click on the Un-root button. If you rooted using another process you can use this process to un-root as long as you didnt load a rom that created links to busybox. I would suggest to restore you phone back to stock ROM before even needing to unroot and if you are on stock un-root all you want otherwise what is the point of un-rooting.

Hello (c)ollen!
Do you need the sdk for the Android drivers (for adb)
Or
Just the Motorola drivers?
He is yet to use superoneclick. He tried with z4 and had no success.

Hello world !!!
I've created a project of a new kind : The RecoverX Project
The goal of this project is to gather ALL the recoveries for ALL android devices in ONE tool which install them on the devices. RecoverX is coded in C++ thanks to QtSDK and allow to install a recovery on more than 150 different devices !!!
You just have to select your device and the recovery, click "Install" and RecoverX does the rest !!! It's that simple
This program require different prerequesties, depending of your device
- Wether you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery partition (and fastboot drivers on your PC)
- Wether you need root access and usb debugging activated (if busybox is not installed, RecoverX will ask you the permission to install it).
This program have been published on XDA News : Here
Here is the list of supported devices :
Finally, a small preview
Awesome !!! Where is the download link ???
Here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227
Wow! Nice! Its original CWM or a based CWM recovery?
It's a based CWM Recovery !!! But still have some minor bugs, that's why it's written "Beta".
How can I acces CWM after installation?
Just tap the screen several time when the SE logo appear.

Thanks
Nevermind. I had root but lost it again when reflashing ICS. I'm gonna sell this phone. It is the worst phone I ever bought for hacking such a dissapointment. Thanks for your tool anyways.

Omg, how smart are you? Why didn't I think of that!
Don't use tools, use the proper hacking.
And if you were as good as hacker as you claim you are,
you'd know that's not true what you said. But it's ok.
Sell it. I hope the next owner will appreicate your loss as his/her gain.
Hey if we install CWM as this method just install in our system file. Some ROM cannot accept install with CWM like this . because it will format system partition . we have to use kernel integrated CWM
This tool is just for stock rom for people who can't or who doesn't want to unloc their bootloader.
working on XperiaS lock BL MIUI 2.7.20
Yes, it work on Xperia S but only on stock rom and not on stock rom
EDIT : stock rom
but MIUI is a custom rom
Sorry, I'm tired, the tool is only compatible with stock rom
MIUI is a custom rom but your recovery working on it, testet by me and it is workin great. Offcourse im using stock kernel.
Ok, thanks a lot !!! I prefered to said no because I was not sure about this...

Hello everyone !!!
I've created a new GUI tool for all Xperia devices (included Xperia S as BETA) to install a recovery automatically such as CWM Recovery (as BETA).
Let me present you RecoverX !!!
Here is the list of supported devices for the moment :

[HOWTO] Root + TWRP WIND Galaxy S4 SGH-M919V running 4.4.2 (M919VVLUFNE1)

Hello fellow Canadians WINDmobilers
Like many of you I've found all the previous guides to be outdated and obsolete, so this is an updated guide for the latest stock ROM with base-band M919VVLUFNE1 and future kitkat updates (we'll probably need a new guide when AOS 5.0 rolls out)
That being said, lets gets things rolling:
WARNING! rooting your phone can void your warranty, do so at your own risk.
NOTE: These instructions below assumes you have a brand new phone just out of the box, all settings on default.
If the default settings have been altered, please make sure you have the Ractivation Lock (Turned Off) in your phone Settings > General > Security or you will get a FAIL! message in Odin.
Download Kies (for the Drivers) from here http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/
If you don't use Kies just uninstall it as soon as the Kies install is complete.
During Kies uninstall it'll ask you if you want to keep the drivers, say yes to keep drivers.
Very Important! for Chainfire's rooting method to work, you must flash this tar via Odin, before you flash TWRP recovery, else it might Fail!
Quick Root Steps:
- Download ChainFire's CF-Auto-Root-jfltecan-jfltevl-sghi337m.zip here from his website
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start Odin
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Auto-Root-jfltecan-jfltevl-sghi337m.tar.md5
- Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, you can also do this by running adb reboot download command)
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Click the Start button
- Wait for Android to boot (like 5 seconds)
- Done
Quick TWRP Steps:
- Important! make sure you Download the latest TWRP version 2.8.4.0 (or newer) for jfltecan models from TeamWin's website here
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start Odin
- Click the PDA button, and select openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-jfltecan.tar (latest version as of the time of this writing)
- Done

Miscellaneous Notes
Does it trigger KNOX?
AFAIK, I flashed it exactly as shown above, and it did not trigger KNOX.
Apparently I wasn't looking properly. It does trip the KNOX warranty counter. the text remains white instead of turning red.
Thanks to elvasoshexai for the heads up.
Hint for finding support for our Canadian phones:
Whenever you look for rooting a new phone but unsure about compatibility, always look at its code name, in our case jfltecan is for both SGH-M919V (Wind/Mobilicity) and SGH-I337M (Bell/Telus/Rogers) that's the key, for reference; crespo was for Nexus S, and hltecan was for Galaxy Notes 3; you get the idea...
You can find more references at Cyanogenmod ROM pages.
thanks, this worked. but it did trip knox. my knox warranty counter now says 0x1

it should be in your phone Settings > General > Security

by default this option should be Off, but some Apps like the KNOX can activate it

[Fixed]Flash Stock Firmware In Moto G5 Plus Without IMEI Loss [potter]

Hi there,
I was using Pixel Experience (8.1.0) ROM in my moto g5 plus ( XT-1686).
One day i messed up with the recovery partition of my device and bricked it in a way that i can only access to my bootloader & was also able to boot phone & use it normally but i had no way to access to my recovery.
Therefore i flashed stock firmware but now there was a major problem , IMEI 0 even though it detects sim card but IMEI was 0.
(screenshots are attached).
But after rooting when i clean flash any custom rom i was able to get back my imei so, i modified the stock firmware & create a simple user friendly one click GUI program named as "STOCK FIRMWARE SAFE FLASH"(2SF TOOL) solution to this problem.
WHAT IS THIS TOOL ?
Well as i said previously,by this tool you will be able to flash moto g5 plus stock firmware without IMEI loss.
Stock POTTER_NPN25.137-67-5_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip is repacked with this tool & uploaded to google drive.

Thanks for the steps keeping this alive! I haven't used it in awhile - brought it out for Dad to use with wifi only.
Had an issue installing SuperSU - kept getting Verification errors after a couple tries and fix was to Disable Reboot option in Odin when installing TWRP.
After trying different lineage-14 ROMS (including one in the above links) the keyboard doesn't work: "Android Keyboard (AOSP) has stopped" Never lets me type anything. Just trying to connect to wifi. Like this ROM since gapps is already installed. Any ides about the keyboard? Or a better, newer ROM?
thank you XDA!
