What works best with the phone? A hard case or one of those stick on decal coverings?

I have a few users that have the original droid. They purchased that super gripy basketball like black cover for it. It makes my grip super sturdy...
Does such a skin/case exist for the captivate? do we know who makes the case?

my amazon order was canceled, but i saw this case on another droid and it is not the same.
The case i am looking for is not the body glove case.
The case i am looking for is a black snap on case that is rubber with no padding, and it has a grip like cut like a gun handle. The rubber sticks nicely to your hand and feels like a gun grip.
There are no marks on the snap on case to identify it, all i know is that verizon sold it with the original droid. I was told it comes in a few colors, pink black and red.
anyone able to find out who makes this case? if there is one for the captivate?

You try to find it on ebay, I think you 'll find a variety of rubber case for your device and the price is quite affordable
I got my girlfriend a Amzer TPU case, I have the same kind on my Tbolt

I bought a $4 silicone case from amazon that seems to be working quite well. It doesnt quite fit as snug as I'd like though, but it keeps the profile small and its easy to get out of my pocket.

I am now using a soft pouch, I think it's better than a silicone case because it protects also the screen and it's not "sticky" like silicone cases are (I always found difficult to put the phone into the jeans' pocket when I am sitting if I use a TPU case)... You could try a pouch and see if you like it
Thanks for the ideas on cases. I have thought about getting one but never sure which are cheap and rip easy or whatnot.

I agree. There is a htc branded leather pouch at expansys.com. i wore out my first. I reordered one.

How fat is it? I have a rubber case also but I don't consider it fat. I have not seen any case for this phone also.

I bought a $7 silicone case from my local ATT store and this thing is the best. It fits nice and snug, and is easy to remove if need be. Of course, I wear carpenter jeans so the slight stickiness doesn't bother me. AFAIK tho, I believe they stopped selling it in my area so that may be the case everywhere.

$44 in Amazon, kinda expensive... but it does look really good.
I also tried the flip case, it looks sloppy at best, and doesn't protect the metal rims. I decided to go with a simple silicone case and a cheap screen protector. (it's on its way to me)

I just preordered the leather G4 from tmobile. I'm currently waiting for it to arrive and I'm wondering how cases are supposed to work with the leather one. I bought it for the leather, I don't want to hide the leather and a clear one would cover up the feel of it. Any suggestions from anyone with a leather one? Do I need a case?
I don't intend to but perhaps a bumper?

Same here. I ordered a Ringke Fusion Clear case for those times I need a case. Fits leather and plastic backs.
Examples: Working out, hiking, bike ride, or when my kids are on my phone.
I'm not getting a case, I would rather buy a new back cover if it gets damaged.
Will probably get a screen protector though.

I got a case for my leather back, I found that I was getting a few marks and also because the phone is plastic, it's easily damaged.
What kind of case you got on the leather back?
Hey guys so I was searching on ebay and I can find some "bumpers" in aluminum and such or just silicone case in general. I don't know if the bumper won't add too much to the phone itself. I just want to get rid of the feeling of this horrible original case. It's not for me is there any aluminum cover I can just replace for this one? The ebay ones I'm not sure how they'll work out. Also found a bamboo one but not sure how it will feel tbh. Any recommendations for a new case? Thanks.
