We've always known that Seidio had an Innocell 3500mAh extended battery in the works for the HTC EVO, and while we still don't know the price or release date, we now at least know what it looks like thanks to some new photos the company has just added to its website.
This extended battery has more than twice the capacity of the EVO's stock 1500mAh battery, so it adds considerable bulk to the device (unlike the slim 1750mAh battery) and of course requires that you ditch the phone's original backplate for Seidio's replacement. The new soft-touch back will be bundled with the battery, so the only thing you'll need to worry about is finding compatible accessories and deciding whether all that extra runtime is worth the hump on your EVO's back.
Not worth it I'd rather carry around a extra battery

easier to carry a couple extra slim batteries
WOW, seriously?
what rock have you guys been under?

Ummm.... use search function. There are 2 or 3 threads on this already. I have had my battery since about the middle of last month. Price on Sedio is 69.99, was 10% off if you pre-ordered.
On Mobilecity it was 54.99 if you pre-ordered, free ship on both.
Edit: Goodlyfe beat me to it. Doh!
Welcome to last month, I thought I was reading a old post. lolz

Sure makes the phonelook ugly, and awkward; like the droid. Id rather carry another battery too. I use the 1750 and have a spare one too.

XDA Members,
This is my first post, and the HTC Evo is my first true Android device (late, I know, but I tried the Cliq and... eh...)
We all know that the battery for the Evo isn't enough. I'm on eBay examining my options, and noticed that there are extended batteries sold in the US that all pretty much look the same.
Are there any particular sellers that you would recommend? I know what ultimately matters is the brand and what the label says but I figured that this forum chock full of experienced Android enthusiasts would have certain people they'd recommend for certain products.
If not eBay, I have a couple of cheaper batteries available on Amazon.
Thanks!
the best performing battery is the stock oem htc battery, unless you want to use an extended battery door and make the evo look like a whale. then get the official sprint extended battery, it's about 50 bux. I get about 30 hours on my stock battery thanks to the great kernels and roms on this forum.

Mugen seems like it keeps a lot of people happy. I'm stock though
I just got 2 Galilo with charger and they seem to be as good as the stock ones.
I went the cheap route for and extended battery and I got EXACTLY what I paid for, a CHEAP battery.....lol
Now i have to man up and take the loss on all the CHEAP accessories I brought for me and my wifes EVO and drop big $ on Seidio...
My advice do it right the 1st time....
What kernals and roms are u using to get 30 hours? I'm lucky if i get 8
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
How are you guys getting so many hours? I only get like 8 Hours on my heavy use and i bought a 3500mah extended battery wtf? I'm also using the net Netarchy sbc 3.2 more havs and mym rom with setcpu running profiles. What am I doing wrong? I even have juice defender running aswell.
well my guess is hes using Myn's Warm RLS5.
as for the kernel. probably found a kernel that helps with the battery life more than the performance.
I looked but did not see a "for sale" section. Looking to sell my Evo and wasn't sure where to post. Any help in pointing to correct section would be greatly appreciated. It's revision 2 btw way...had phantom skinz protector as well as hard plastic case on from day one. Couldn't be in better shape.
Thanks guys/gals

There's a section called 'market'. Craigslist is probably easier though, more local
We're comin from a pure power source.
How much are you sellig it for ? I'm about to sell mine as well and I would like to know what would sound like a good price, I was thinking 300$ since I sold the iPhone 3GS for 200$ not too long ago but idk if is the right price
another vote for craigslist.org
swappa.com is not a bad place to start. Local is nice but not everyone will have luck with this. Maybe OP lives in the sticks in Tennessee. Doubt if Cletus and/or Linda Lou would wanna buy a smartphone Current prices on swappa are 285 and up to 400.

Sweet...appreciate the advice. Just listed on swappa.com. Went and tested the thunderbolt today for about 20 mins. Damn that thing is quick and smooth as butter. I love my evo and I have it running top notch, but there really wasn't a comparison.

Uhhhh....what?
I put my EVO up on eBay moving onto the 3D one not a bad price for how new it is and mint also the stuff that comes with it only 3 months old.
How many of you moving onto the 3D ?
you might want to start the bid a something low and let it grow, it will be hard to sell when you start high. Just a fellow ebay power seller tip.
And i wish i could afford the 3d but i have to wait! lol

Lol this is a 0004 going on 3 months pretty much brand new never been without case never been flash happy on it so no loads of flashing done and its not a refurbished unit . Sucker is clean sweet and wouldn't be selling just won't need it anymore and not gonna sell it for cheap since the phone by its self is 200 plus all the **** that comes with it is brand new would be shooting my self in the foot for selling it for anything less.
What were the differences between 003 and 004?

From what I have read camera been swapped out to fix issues people had in 0002 and 3 lcd been swapped out and the buttons feel better firmer . Camera is nice . Buttons feel better any quirks from the 0003 are fixed in the 0004 builds.
Ahh ok thanks, I never knew the differences
I'm waiting on my Sprint rep to call me and see what deal she can offer me on the 3D lol.
I hate the waiting game.

Nice! Enjoy your new 3D.
That's a good deal. Best eBay price when I bought mine (March '11) was $285...and that was for a refurb with ONLY phone/SD/battery shipped in an envelope!!

try craigslist, and make sure you bring friends during transaction. I heard horror stories!!
Have fun with evo 3d dude
Ebay links are not allowed.
Also, a post such as this should go into the Market place forums.
I have a HTC THUNDERBOLT with an extended battery and the RIL is taking too long to figure out for an impatient guy like me so I want to trade the Thunderbolt for an INC 2 who ever is interested in this trade please pm me.

Sent from somewhere over the double rainbow.
Just sell it man. and buy an inc2
I have an Inc1 AMOLED mint condition, no scratches to the screen body or anywhere. maybe we could work something out if ur interested in that.
There are a lot of batteries out now claiming to be OEM batteries for the Evo. They are red like the original. But saw somewhere that sellers were takeing the aftermarket black batteries and just making them red. Are there any ways to tell if it really is a OEM battery? Besides the obvious, buying it from sprint or htc. And if you know of a place to buy them on the cheap let me know plz. thx.
price
No clue what an oem battery costs. I'm using the chicitec from amazon 2 for 28.99. Good deal, better life. Will post my comarisons in that thread tonight.
I heard checking the back of the battery will tell you the mAh and reveal if the battery is real or a fake. Not too familiar with batteries but that's what I read. (lift up the sticker covering the battery)

A REALLY EASY TEST and it works everytime... first suck on someones stick. Then put the battery in your mouth. If you die then it is real. if you don't. it's fake. lmao.

How old are you? Really?
guess that how he did it
I bought a set of two batteries for $10 on ebay. They were 2000 ahm while the original htc battery are 1500ahm. the problem was that the ones I got were lithium ion. Make sure you get lithium polymer. It makes a HUGE diff. The twp together last but its a pain halting out the one fort the other. Not to mention changing them.

Go to sprint chat. Tell the rep nicely your battery life sucks. He or she has been instructed to handle your issue by giving you credit for a new battery. Go to Sprint store. Purchase extended battery or regular battery. Go home and back on chat. Tell the new rep you were told you would be credited. He or she will do it. Next month see it on your bill.
To ensure 100% oem get it from Sprint. Plus the method I mentioned is free
Credits to jadeboy from themikmik for passing that on to me. It works.
