App Drawer Glitch - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed that when I was running a 2.1 rom, occasionally when I'd open the app drawer the entire screen image would jerk to the right immediately upon open. Since upgrading to Froyo I haven't experienced this. I've used CM 6, Damage, and Fresh and it hasn't occured once. I was wondering if anyone knew what would've caused that.

Double Icons?

Has anyone else been having issues with icons and widgets overlaying on top of itself. Every so often when I re-start my phone my icons and widgets create duplicates. Is there some kind of fix to this?

I have a theory about this. I think its Titanium Backup. Although, since switching from Fresh to Myn's I haven't had the problem.
It is annoying though, and it also slows the **** out of your phone.
Just reboot

I have the same issue on a fully stock unrooted rom.

Yup, I think this can be caused by not wiping the data partition. I have had it happen before running titanium.

actually rebooting is what causes it
the only kindof solution ive found so far is to save the scene once you have it set up and switch out and back when they duplicate
and i dont think its titanium as i always wipe my data thouroughly and never restore everything, just specifically one by one

When I press home my apps dissapear for a while

This happens a lot. Is this normal? If so is it a ram issue with the phone? And is there anyway to improve that?
I haven't got around to permanently rooting my phone I have the stock OTA but if it can fix this somehow I will definitely do it. Thanks in advance

You mean when you press home your homescreen reloads and apps reappear in a few seconds? Seems normal as of now. Running CM6.1.0RC1 still happens. Haven't found anything to really fix this.
Root and overclock problem solved. Zoom zoom

Same here, when I overclock more than 1 g that problem seems to go away.
I used to have the same problem with the good old G1. Back then I thought it was because if not enough memory. Enabling "lock screen in memory" in launcherPro or AWD solved the problem. If you are not using them, run to the market and download one if them. No root needed

Yea I press the home button and my apps are invisible I guess and it last like 5 to 10 seconds and it happens a lot like every other time I press home.
Well in that case ill try to get around to rooting it.
launcherpro seemed to fix the problem so far thanks.

I'm overclocked at 1.1 and still always experience this problem. Also locked home app in memory in CM settings as well as enabled system persistent and still no fix for me. It's not bad, homescreen always came back. On my myTouch when this happened they'd sometimes just stay gone.

My mytouch used to do that too lol. But maybe its different for each rom. I started using launcherpro and that doesn't happen anymore

My myTouch stopped as soon as I enabled system persistent and enabled compcache.
Setting my mhz to the lowest number in the screen off setcpu profile seemed to take care of that problem for me, but it only happend to me when I was overclock to 1400+ and only when i unlocked the screen.

[Q] AnimMod

Anyone else using the AnimMod app from the market? Feelings on it? Ive been using it for about a week now and am experiencing some lag, but i really like the anims and dont want to get rid of it, so is there something i can do to make it more snappy? thoughts?
Running:
Droid Incredible AMOLED
Skyraider 3.5 w/Uncommon
HeyItsLou #8
It's pretty cool
About the lag, anim mod just replaces the transition files within your Rom so for you to have a lag
Either the transition files are broken or your Rom lags

Thanks for the input.
I reset the animations back to stock then uninstalled the app. After re-installing it and rebooting, it seems to have corrected the problem. I was just a little leery of deleting it at first, obviously I'm pretty new to this ha.

ICS App Hanging

Ever since the leaked and official release of ICS, I've been experiencing problems with my apps hanging. I don't know if its the ROM I'm using (both darkside 3 and 4.0.4) ICS, or the launcher (apex). I've switched to the stock touch wiz launcher a few times and experienced the app hanging so I don't think launchers are the issue, but since I've only been using darkside ROMs, I don't know if it's limited to the ROM or my phone. Pretty much after a few hours of use, I reach a point where I can't open apps or go into the app drawer yet I'm able to scroll through the home screens. I always have to restart my phone in order to fix the problem and even after running the darkside cache wipe, the problem persists. Is there any way to get past this?

[Q] App drawer problem

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my app drawer. Every once in a while, when I open my app drawer it comes up darkened (see image below). It happens about once or twice a day. Closing and reopening the drawer makes it return to normal. I'm running stock rooted 4.4.2.
It started happening a week or so ago, so I'll start uninstalling recent apps to see if it's a rouge app causing this. Has anyone else seen this?
I am running viper and get the same problem sometimes. more of a nuisance than anything. Have not found a solution yet so i just live with it.
