I´m looking for a widget/app that counts the total amount of sms ive sent, and the count not going down when I delete a bunch of sms.
need to work with stock sms software.
---
I know handsent and chompsms can do it.
Try DroidStats from the market. Works fine for me.

I'm just trying to see what ppl think.
I use handcent sms and have the reminder set on every 2 minutes. I just wanted to know if this is drains thebattery. I'm pretty sure it does affect the battery but I'm not sureif its really that bad..

I use handcent and froze the stock mms apk. And I also have two reminders set to go off every 2 minutes for messages. It doesn't seem to affect my battery life too much

Actually I froze with root uninstaller.
But I'm sure ether one will do fine , you can even just delete the apk since handcent doesn't depend on the system messaging app

That's what I did I uninstalled the stock mssaging app. I find handcent to be a million times better with all the custimozable settins.

If u get widget locker:
It allows you to use the notification pulldown while locked. When i started using handcent i missed that slide to read. but now i can just pull down the pull down and click any notifications
Also if u delete the stock mms. It makes MMS not go through.

Actually I deleted it and MMS have gone through perfectly a couple 30 times since I've deleted it.
There's an option in handcent to handle both mms and sms.

idk this happened to me randomly too never figured out what was the cause it just went away with an ODIN flash
I personally use goSMS, but they're pretty much the same thing, but I noticed I had a lot of wakelock on spare parts when using handcent. On goSMS, I haven't seen it(yet).

you mean the screen turning on by its self when in sleep mode ?
No... Running in the background and preventing few deep sleep

Im looking for a app or mod that will turn on my screen when a text comes in. From there allowing me to view the message, name of sender and when I touch it, bringing me to that message to reply.
Much like the iPhone.
Thanks.

Check out the app called SMS Pop up from the Android Market.
Handcent SMS also does this quite well

Thanks the other apps that were suggested all had thier own messaging thing I just wanted the notification

If I send out too many messages in a short amount of time, I get a pop up telling if I should allow the messaging app to continue sending. But it repeats the question with every text. I know it's a google malware security feature, but it's super annoying. Anyway to turn it off?

Hi,
According to this article, you can directly reply to incoming emails from the notifications with the latest Gmail update.
Does this work for you?
For me it doesn't.
No!
I've been playing around with settings all and sending mail to myself without seeing the options in notifications.
Please do post here if you figure this out.
Note II, Stock, Unrooted

You have to make a spreading gesture at the notification.
Thanks

So I can send group messages just fine but when people text me back it gets text back into individual messages not as a group response but this only happens to me. Is there anyway to fix that ?

Make sure the option for group messaging is ticked on your messaging settings.

I don't have a problem sending messages to multiple people its when they respond that I get the texts individually and not in the group chat I started.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
Understood. But you have to make sure that the option is ticked to receive them in the group as well.
