PRL 60668 - safe for rooted EVOs?

I'm pretty sure PRL updates are always harmless but just want to make sure.

I believe your profile just updates your internet settings like username password. You are safe to update the profiles without losing root. The only thing is a OTA update, dont do that.

[Q] Evo on revol can i update prl

Ok so my evo is flashed to revol and everything is working. My isdue is i think the prl i have needs updated. I have crappy signal. I updatec t the latest radio and that helped some. I tried to update prl in settings but it failed. Is there a wsy to update it? Please help my current prl is 03472.

No only flashing a new hboot will break your flash

[Q] evo flashed to cricket 3g problem

i flashed my evo to cricket and talk and text work great, but when i turn 3g on it keep coming on and off every 5 seconds, so does anyone know how to fix this?

PRL update, it did this for me on Metro as well

Try 45513 it works great for me. Sorry this post is late, I just joined. Change the extension on the end from .txt to .prl, then use a program such as CDMA Workshop to write it.

[Q] QPST won't recognize my phone!

Hello,
I want to manually change the PRL file via QPST Config but it doesn't recognize my phone properly! It only shows like this .. ?(80BCE238) .. and it doesn't appear under Active Phones!
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SNAPSHOT
Any clue how to fix this!?
The Samsung drivers are already installed .. and when I plug my Sprint GS2 Epic 4G Touch it is recognized!
Please help

Disable debugging on your device
Open your phone's dialer and type *#7284#"
Switch to "CP" or "Modem"
Plug in your device

If you just wanna flash a PRL you can do it from your phone directly? Digiblur has a thread about how to do it, and he also has a flashable that enables flashing PRL's from MA4 and up (because it was taken out for some reason)

PRL Write Enabler (Says MA4 and MA6, but also works on MB1):

need help evo 4g not getting service

hi,
I followed Captain Throwbacks method GUIDE-How-to-achieve-S-OFF-after-unlocking-2-18-HBOOT-with-HTCDev-com-No-More-Watermark!-)and seems like everything went fine. my bootloader screen looks exactly like Capt's final screen but im unable to activate on sprint and i get error 1012 when i try to update profile prl or firmware. was flashed to page plus before.Any ideas to get it working again?

ok well youre leaving alot of information out here. What methods are you using to update your prl and other settings? when you say youre trying to update the "firmware" what exactly are you referring to? what settings have you put in what?
