Video calls on at&t - Galaxy S I9000 Android Development

Know these calls don't work currently, but with custom fws around the corner, is it possible to change the implementation to fool the system and make the call the way the eye+phone (see fututama ) does?

I don't know anyone with a front-camera phone, so what happens if you try a video call on at&t?

Is this only at&t thing or all carriers?

Best Call Recorder for Note 2?

I don't need a call recorder on my phone but today I found that I need one for a reason. So which would be the best? Which is the most working one? I've heard all recorders have this or that problem. So which one you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance.

No flashing or anything - must be rooted though.
Many call recorders work fine UNLESS you're using a bluetooth headset. I haven't found a single solution for recording while using one.

Nope.(SG Note 2) Recording both sides of the conversation option didn't record anything. And the other settings either dropped the call or you couldn't hear the person on the other end. (FYI - was using WiFi calling since t-mobile coverage in my house stinks.)
Try sanity from the play store by cristiano. No problems at all. Unlike some other apps which record the other person from the mic this app records from the phone. Perfect audio all the time from both ends. I have the donated version so there is no 2min restriction. Just remember to choose where the audio is recorded from. I think default settings was recording from the mic. I changed it to record from phone.
You also have the options of recording automatically or choosing when to record and stop in the drop down menu during a call. Many other features too.

I installed santiy today. Looks good so far. The only problem is that u need to drag down the notification panel to activate call recording. is there any other software that shows on the main call screen to activate recording? I dont want those apps that record every call automatically. I have a non rooted stock phone. I can live with sanity otherwise.

Hi all,
I need to recorder a call on my CM 12.1.1 base 5.1.1,
How can I do?
Thank You

Any call recorders that actually work for this phone?

I used to use "Record my call" from the market with my old tmobile-G2X....but that app does not work with my Samsung GS3 and I've tried a bunch of others with no luck. Anyone come across one that works for both sides of the conversation? Thanks

Not one rom on any of the D2 (US S III) devices has call recording as an option expect maybe ICS roms and MIUI roms. Crazy, but that's the way it is.
That is crazy.....

What's that mean, I have no interest in this but not sure what you mean lol.
Recording apps have to use the phone's external microphone to record audio (for both sides) on this device, since the kernels don't support it.
With little tweaking (read the instructions), Call Recorder from skvakex (10$) work perfectly well.
I think you need the right rom/kernel, I use carbonrom + ktkernel.

(Request) Enable Call Recording (SecPhone.apk)

It has been done for the Galaxy III and the International version of the S4 (I9500 and I9505) Here is the link with the code --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268146
After several pm with grgsiocl, He has added in the necessary code to enable it on the T-Mobile SGS4 but all it does is freeze the phone when you enable the record function.
Here is the link to the modified SecPhone.apk. --> http://www.mediafire.com/?w5l8ov5uzw8bb5d
Hopefully someone could get it to work.

It will record both sides of the conversation if you use the speaker phone.
Most all other call recorders even those at the playstore which are paid apps work,
but they work same way using the speaker phone when you want to record a call.....

Ok, so call recording takes up the same button as call swap. you will lose that feature if I do this app correctly, as far as I can tell.

Is there a way you can put it into the menu button. While on a call hit menu button and enable it. I was on Verizon note 2 running beanstown rom and thats how he did it so that we didnt lose that feature.

This has the potential to be a fantastic app, but it has a lot of work required yet. Just off the top of my head, you need the following improvements:
1. The interface needs to be much better designed. I'm sorry, but it looks ugly right now.
2. When the call is answered by any method, switch to the call-in-progress screen. If I use SpeakerPhone Ex to answer calls simply by bringing the phone up to my ear, the screen remains on because of your app, and it doesn't switch to the call screen. Same while answer calls with headsets.
3. Don't show up when not required. If the screen is turned off or locked, or if you are in the Phone app, incoming calls should just be handled regularly. Also give users the option to exempt certain apps (like exDialer, for me).
This is a great idea and I would love to use it, but at least until #2 is fixed, I cannot. Thanks for making it.

(Q) what apk do I need for call screen?

4.4.2 call screen has a mistake. In 4.3 and all other TW roms, when the phone is dialing the top part with the name is in grey then turns green once answered. That's how you know that the call was picked up by looking at the phone. Now and 4.4 .2 it stays green the whole time making it difficult for me to know if someone's answered by looking at the phone. So I want to take the apk out of 4.3 and put it into Kit Kat to make that bar green. Does anyone know what apk holds that information?
