Get your MSL number and then dial ##gpsclrx#
See if that gets your gps working again.

It is the 6 digit number that identifies your phone and is used to activate it and reprogram it. I assume you are rooted. Download connectbot from the market. Choose Samsung Epic and local then type this exactly with MSL in caps with the hardware keyboard
getprop ril.MSL
Your 6 digit number will appear on the screen.

Try this, it may fix all your problems with the phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226074&highlight=clear+modem
Have you tried using the gps status app to clear the a-gps state and download the assistance data? In the app press menu>tools>manage a-gps state>reset. Then menu>tools>manage a-gps state>download.
Did you happen to run the pm disable com.samsung script? If so you will have to re-enable it in order to update prl by typing pm enable com.samsung in root explorer after typing su.
Glad to find this thread, i haven't seen some of these other suggestions yet.

Couldn't find anything in the Nexus forum about this.
Since this afternoon i'm getting a red flashing rectangle around the border of the screen when opening or closing apps. Doesnt mather wich app or in what rotate state. It's very irregular to get a pattern or pin down a problem. I have checked al settings to see if there is anything i might have set up by accident....
Also rebooting etc. doesn't help.
Please help anybody !!
Sounds like one of the developer options; show screen updates or show all anr's perhaps

Nope, i have looked at the developer settings, all options unchecked, nothing set there. (except the usb debug standard option, and no, turning that off doesn't help either)
Possibly hardware problem?
Got the phone about 4 days now and haven't had any problems. So far this is a great phone . I haven't had any problems with hardware

This is a setting in engineering builds of ICS. If you have the first version of eagles blood running, it does this. It is a simple change to the build.prop to fix it, though I am not sure what the fix is exactly

Is such a fix possible on original non rooted stock rom ?
And then to have the actual fix would be nice.
Mine was doing this until I flashed 4.02. Only randomly started when I was on 4.01.

Try checking then unchecking the developer settings mentioned. I'm not covinced it will change anything, but it won't do any harm to try...
i think this is what "strict mode" in the developer settings does, try checking then unckecking that one...

Usually when I plug my E4GT in, it allows me to go into USB storage mode, but now after I switched my phone to boost, It says this instead, what can i do to fix this?
There is a USB switcher app in the play store. You can switch from MTP to mass storage.

Try to go into Settings-Applications-Development and enable USB debugging. This should disable MTP and allow you to into Settings-Wireless and network-USB utilities and manually select mass USB storage.
I already tried that before I posted this thread and when I pressed it said to remove USB, im going to try that app out when I get home

Guessing you are obviously rooted so why not try ExTweaks (free from the playstore). There is a setting to enable USB Mass Storage by default in the IO/USB settings portion.

Thank you so much for posting this response. I did the same thing and could not get MTP mode to work and now I feel like an idiot because I thought that I somehow fubared something on the device. I didn't fubar it, I just forgot to follow all of the instructions. Thanks as I tried variations on MTP windows 7 and Epic 4g Touch to no avail and then I found this thread and it really, really made my night. If I was employed at the moment, I would honestly offer you enough to buy a beer. My thanks will have to do! Once again, thanks.
No matter what I do I cannot get 4g WiMAX to turn on. When i press the toggle it lights up for about 5-10 seconds then just goes back off. Never however does it scan and the icon up top never appears.
What can be wrong here? What can i do?
Everything else is working fine. I have tried flashing new modems, flashing new roms, odin tars for EL26, EL29, did a nandroid restore from a time when it was working, updated profile + prl multiple times. I just continue to get the same result.
Any help with this is much appreciated.
Happened to me also on a bad jb flash.
To fix this, flash it back to an Orginal el29 gb rom.
I recommend the caulkalin el29 rom

If it doesnt work Stock, take it to Sprint and let them deal with the headache.
I would try clearing the Wimax CT back to default values under ##DEBUG#
There's two options. One clears the extensions to default which are the settings under the ##3282# Wimax setting people usually tweak with. And the other option resets the options on that Wimax CT screen. Forget which is which. Both options are at the bottom ODB Load Default and Load Default. Try doing both.

Where you playing around with any of the Wimax settings or did it just randomly happen? Go into Wimax extensions and start playing with the values switching them to a different value. But honestly it sounds like your Wimax chip is a goner.

I appreciate you taking the time Ray. I'll give that a shot. I wasn't messing with the settings at all, it just all of a sudden happened. I had flashed some different ROMs and was on Calkulins EL29 Rom when I noticed the issue.
I ended up asking a question in that thread about whether there was a 4g icon at the top when it was scanning because I never saw it. That's when I realized things were not right

My GPS worked great... for a few months. Then one day I tried to do some navigating and realized it wasn't working anymore. I wiped my data, flashed different ROMs, reverted back to stock, tried multiple GPS fixes, etc, etc. I spoke to a Samsung rep (because I don't have T-Mobile service or I would have gone through them) and told them the things I did; aside from the warranty-voiding stuff, that is. They concluded that it was more than likely a hardware fault and to send it in for repair/replacement. Barring any water damage, the fix would be covered by the warranty. I haven't had a chance to send it in yet, but there's that option.

I might be doing this wrong, but using that particular code doesn't allow me to enter the Main Menu or UMTS options. I can use the code to enter service mode in the Sim-unlock thread, but even once I can get into UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD, there isn't an option for NV REBUILD. Only load default, erase EFS, backup, and restore... I played around in there when I was sim-unlocking my phone when I first got it and was appalled when I found out what exactly the EFS was... I'm basically lucky I didn't screw it up; so you can see my current unease of just selecting some random option from that menu.
