[Q] E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command !!!!! Please HELP :(

I have Desire not rooted and I'm trying recovery but ...
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command (this comes up before even trying to run the update)
--Install From sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
anybody help me ??

what recovery you using? the signature error is just because the rom isnt signed, turn off signature verification or flash clockworkmod

I was having black SLCD (RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_T2_Radio_32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09_release_137222_signed.exe)
and have solved the problem right now and do OTA update to Froyo and there is System Info. :
Bravo PVT3 Ship S-ON
Hboot-0.93.0001
Touch panel-synt0101
Radio-5.09.05.30_2
maybe I have to disable Signature or (S-off) ....anybody know how?

[Q] root GT-I9000M 2.2 FROYO.UGKC1

I am trying to root a Samsung Galaxy S.
I have tried copying various files onto the phone at
/sdcard/update.zip
$ ls -l /sdcard/update.zip
-rwxrwxr-x system sdcard_rw 1264320 2011-04-27 12:43 update.zip
and then issuing
adb reboot recovery
But whatever update.zip I supply, it always fails the signature validation:
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E-signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I tried the update.zip from many different sources but none of them work.
Please help!

I believe the GT-I9000M is also called Vibrant.

im on doomkernel v18 with acornium 5.6

The most likely cause is a corrupt or incomplete download, just download it again.

Can't update rooted Defy with 2nd Init installed

I get this message in "Android system recovery <2e>
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
.
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Verifying update package...
E.failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I had downloaded the update and the system rebooted to thge "Stock Recovery" section to install the update from sdcard.
Furthermore, even after the download of teh update, I can't see the update.zip file in the sdcard using the File Manager

HTC One M8. Is it possible to update to Marshmallow?

Hello i currently have HTC One M8, Software Version: 4.18.720.8 & Android Version: 5.0.1
I have OTA_M8_UHL_L50_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_India_4.18.720.10-4.18.720.8_release_449296.zip but when i try to install this update from recovery by using "Apply from phone storage".
I kept that file in internal storage as well as tried to rename it to update.zip but error keeps showing:

E: Can't mount
