Its probably just my phone doing this since searched and didn't see anything like this in the slide sections.
For the past two days I haven't been able to download or update any apps! I have >11 mb internal storage and am running stock. I turned the phone off and on a few times but same problem. What's the deal?

Very strange. I received the ota and then all my market updates downloaded themselves :/
Edit: even stranger, after downloading another app and not deleting anything since my first post in this thread, my internal memory in creased to nearly 15 mb, wierd

Bump! The issue has resurfaced. I'm @ >12mb internal storage and apps won't update our download. So frustrating! Plus it occasionally says the memory is full when I go to text and won't let me text so I reboot it and its fine. I don't understand

Was wondering if that is an option like forward the t mobile message and see if it works that way as I have not gotten this update and no access to a pc or laptop at this moment.

Download the file, place it on your sd card.
Turn off your phone
Hold the volume down, and turn it back on.
When you get to the screen with the skateboarding androids, select apply update.zip
Wait for it to finish. It will turn on and off 2-3 times. When it's done, it'll turn back on completely. Congratulations, you have now manually updated.
Like I said above I do not have access to a computer or laptop at this moment.

Then use your phone? I assume you have that since you are using it now.

I have followed all instructions to the letter, but I get the Red Triangle of Death. Any thoughts?
And just how am I going to use my phone? You have to rename files etc.... please explain.

This happens a lot. Is this normal? If so is it a ram issue with the phone? And is there anyway to improve that?
I haven't got around to permanently rooting my phone I have the stock OTA but if it can fix this somehow I will definitely do it. Thanks in advance

You mean when you press home your homescreen reloads and apps reappear in a few seconds? Seems normal as of now. Running CM6.1.0RC1 still happens. Haven't found anything to really fix this.

Same here, when I overclock more than 1 g that problem seems to go away.
I used to have the same problem with the good old G1. Back then I thought it was because if not enough memory. Enabling "lock screen in memory" in launcherPro or AWD solved the problem. If you are not using them, run to the market and download one if them. No root needed

Yea I press the home button and my apps are invisible I guess and it last like 5 to 10 seconds and it happens a lot like every other time I press home.
Well in that case ill try to get around to rooting it.

I'm overclocked at 1.1 and still always experience this problem. Also locked home app in memory in CM settings as well as enabled system persistent and still no fix for me. It's not bad, homescreen always came back. On my myTouch when this happened they'd sometimes just stay gone.

My mytouch used to do that too lol. But maybe its different for each rom. I started using launcherpro and that doesn't happen anymore

My myTouch stopped as soon as I enabled system persistent and enabled compcache.
Setting my mhz to the lowest number in the screen off setcpu profile seemed to take care of that problem for me, but it only happend to me when I was overclock to 1400+ and only when i unlocked the screen.
I have NBMod Rev 2 but, it isn't the stock Froyo update since it doesn't have myfaves, all genius button functions plus a few other apps were removed.
So I'm just wondering if anyone is working on it or if there is a way I can add MyFaves and Visual VoiceMail back?
There is a rooted stock rom in the dev forum.
Edit: looks like it is pulled. I have it still so I'll see if I can upload it. But it won't be today or tomorrow maybe Saturday.

If so...update to froyo, with the original stock rom and then root the phone ....
there is a guide for that, for rooting i mean..
But the RUU has the new Hboot in it so it is best to wait. I will see if I can get it up today.

That's the one I'm running, the rooted 2.15.531.3 "stock". He also replaced the HBOOT, so it isn't the new 1.0, mine is showing HBOOT 0.52. I flashed this ROM and also Dark Tremor's A2SD and have /DATA and the dalvik cache going to ext3 partition on SD (using a Class 10 card). I have a ton of apps installed and still show over 100MB free and it is very quick and running great. I love SenseUI, so I've avoided the CM7 ROMs, and the NB rom cut too much out for my taste.

Icant seem to find a way to force my g2 to stay in "4g"
Ihave full conection it just keeps bouncing back and fourth
Between 3g and 4g .. any help?
I dont know but all the roms do that and it does that to save battery, if it stays in 3G it means its just saving battery but when you go to an app that requires the web it goes to 4G for fasters speed.
So basicly devs made it like that to make your phone save battery.
My guess, dont quote me on that.

What I did was download the app any cut and make a shortcut to the phone info setting. Once in there just switch from wcdma perferred to wcdma only and that should do it

That happened fo me too. But I was getting the speed without the icon...it was only when it switchdd that it would f up. I just switchdd radios and downloaded the 4g app pack and it helpdd but didnt fix (only happendd with a couple roms) and on other roms it will say 4g but its a 3g speed...and that ciuld just be the nature of the beast...
Can't believe no one else in the know has commented on this. You c ant force it. PERIOD. That is not how hspa works. The phone plays a small part in the switch but MOST of it is up to the towers discretion. The tower switches you to hspa when the data throughput warrants it. This is a fact not just some crackpot theory. Save your time!

Last night I was cleaning up my SD card through File Manager and I deleted the Zedge Folder. Now today I cannot no matter what setting I turn off or on the sound will not come on for Notification or Phone calls. I am rooted and re-did the fix permissions and restored the back up, still nothing. I'm running out of ideas and thought maybe somone else might have had the same issue.
I downloaded quick settings from the market after searching some other threads and that did not work either. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Oh I am using the XM-8 Stripped Version Rom.
