I've been having the same problem, tried the advanced config and that didn't work.
yeah I can't figure this one out
I'm having the same issue with the official 6.5 T-Mobile US ROM. It doesn't happen every time I soft-reboot, but it happens most times. Annoying.
I end up flash to a new rom to fix this..
I had the same problem, but just today I realized it wasn't happening, but I be it will start again. Anyway, this guy seemed to have fixed this issue:

Thank you for that link. The cab file posted seems to have done the trick. And thanks a million times to Warlock for making the discovery and creating the cab file.
Same thing for me. For a while it wouldnt even hold my time zone. Kept moving me back to Arizona. I used Advanced Config and restored all defaults. Still get the time zone prompt on every soft boot but atleast it keeps me in Colorado now.
\m/ just ran through the thread above. Used cab2 and no more nagging time zone! You the man thanks!
Looks a good fix, but I wonder if I happen to travel to a different time zone will this fix makes my phone stay with the original time or will time still update as usual?
I have found in general that screen goes away on its own giving enough time. Also if I'm in an open area (easier access to satellite for location info) it doesn't come back.
I am wondering the same thing here.

Hey guys, i was downloading an app onto my phone when it looked like all was well the download paused and then began to stay there for no reason at all. I tried clearing the market cache as well as data and reset and wiped a few things to no avail? I know people have asked questions about this before but i never found a good answer! Thanks in advance!

I know I sound weird about this but...
Make sure you have a full charge I noticed sometimes I have problems if I'm down below 25%
Really weird if it still does the stall out flip the phone to landscape to install. I know but for some reason my phone likes that.
Last of all someone turned me on to AppBrain sometimes it's happy with that and other times not. Go figure...
If not I'm clueless.

Thanks For the help i'll try it out!
Hey folks, having an odd issue with my market. Has been happening on and off since the last market update (3.1.5). I searched around and couldnt find anything about it. Sometimes when I go to install or update an app, I click on the install (or update) button and instead of going to the "Agree and Download" screen, it goes to a pure white screen with loading in the middle and sits there. I have tried clearing market data, force closing the market and starting it up again, etc, with no avail. It seems to be pretty random, sometimes it goes right to agree and download, sometimes it doesn't, and it doesnt seem to be app specific. It also doesnt seem to be rom specific. I have left it on that page for a pretty long time (>10 mins) with no change. It did it on an the ERA EC05 rom I was running, and is doing it on the GB EH17 rom I am currently using.
Anyone else having this issue? Has it been documented before? If so, I'd appreciate a link so I can check it out. As always, I am very grateful for any and all help. Thanks!

Yeah I had the same problem, but now market 3.3.1 is available somewhere in the forum here. It seems to work much better and not have those update hangs.
EDIT: and here is the link to that thread. Download the market here, theres even a video telling you how to install it if you need help

This appears to have worked perfectly, thanks again!
First, i would like to apologize if there is already a thread about this... i could not find one though.
The problem im having is that when i press the power button to bring up the lockscreen, it flashes the lockscreen then goes back to a black screen. it takes me a couple trys until im finally able to slide the unlock thing.
any help will be greatly appreciated!
Was it working before? (In other words: are you sure it is not a hardware-failure?)
Negative. but it is resolved now though. At first i wasnt sure if i should do that upgrade thing after the downgrade, but i did it anyways just for kicks and giggles. and it fixed it. or atleast thats what i think did. shortly after i flashed the wp7 rom thats up here, and loving it so far minus a few glitches but no biggie!
I'm not sure what is going wrong with my phone for the last months, but the OTA that a 4.0.4. gets isn't sticking with my GNex. I didn't care, I was happy with 4.0.4. But now I got the hang of this flashing stuff I'm feeling a bit wild and I would like CM10 on my GNex. I was happy with CM on my Nexus S a while ago and it started to annoy me that I got this OTA message nagging me every time I rebooted the phone. So I installed CWM and its recovery boots when I choose recovery boot. Did a backup of my phone, since I was in the area, and thought, what the heck, why not, let's get this CM show on the road.
But then my head said to my heart, what in the lords name are you doing?! First ask the wise men if you're doin' it right! So, am I able to flash the stable CM10 rom without any problem or am I bricking the phone this way?
And will I lose all my data when I flash? When I flashed CleanRom on my TF300 it kept all apps and settings, so I was hoping that my settings/installs/data would survive a flash of my GNex with CM10...
Edit:
I just went full HD loco on its a-- and slapped it on. Worked like a charm, lots of data remained in the memory (if not all), but all settings and apps were lost. Now trying to put back the backup I made earlier, let's see how much of a back up this really is.
Edit2:
This really is a full backup. The thing went back exactly the same as it was! Pretty awesome if you ask me, but of course you all knew this already. Nevermind me, I was just passing through. Time to set up my phone for usage the coming year or so. Thank you for letting me use this as a notebook!
Edit3:
One big downer on this operation: I have to install every single app one by one again... A lot of work!
Nice, you went and done it yourself, and updated your first post as you were going through it. Thank you. Actually, I had seen you first edit it, and I waited a little bit longer to see what you would do. Now, any questions?

No questions really, just had fun doing something scary. I hope someone with the same question finds my thread and finds it useful. I know I will when I plan on getting frisky with my GNex the next time I want to flash something, because I keep forgetting the steps I took doing stuff like this.
Only thing that's really a turnoff is reinstalling every app again, because Google thinks it's a different device. Any workarounds for that perhaps? (Still found something to quest about!)
Edit: Damn this CM10 is one slick mf! I love CM10! Should have done this way earlier...
