Can I run something like Fresh 1.01 which is based on 1.47 but use the latest froyo radio? Will it work properly?

Yup! Just found 4g at work where it wasn't there before.
My guess is that Sprint is going to open the floodgates to the FULL clear network.
Is there somewhere I can download just the radio & 4g update?

Can I use Froyo Radio 2.15.00.07.28 on a 2.1 ROM ex. Fresh 1.0.1
or does it have negative effects on the phone.. will like to update the Radio but don't want to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 until wifi tether works 100% with this build.
I have no 4G in my area so I figure I don't need to install the wimax WiMAX_26023_R01
If any info can be share on this I appreciate it.

I'm sure you can use the new radio with 2.1....as I have run 2.1 with it.....
As for the tethering, there's a newer version that work.

I ran the newest radio and wimax on 2.1 for a couple of days earlier in the week and didnt have any issues.

Hey there! I'm currently running ARHD V3.1 and I flashed the recommended radio for that version. It was the first time I have ever flashed a radio.
I am now wanting to upgrade to ARHD V3.2 and flash the new recommended radio for this version also.
To flash the new recommended radio do I simply do everything exactly as I did before and just flash the new radio over the old one?

I have flashed latest radio and its very good.If u try it and u dont want it,u can flash a previus radio as well...

First off, are you rooted?

Neither the PRL or the radio (baseband is the radio) are included in any rom. You can get the latest radio to flash in the radio thread in the development section and you update the PRL in settings/system updates/update prl in any Sense rom.
You can find the latest PRI and Radio files here.

alot of us a having mobile network signal problems were does the actual signal strength come from is it the radio or the kernel ?

We provide flashabel zips here with other radios:

...i suggest to flash the fist one, this is the radio from the last official testbase.

Hi! Can i use radio from Version 2.1204.127.19 on latest test base? I have some issues. Can i downgrade radio? Or i will break somthing with flashing old radio on new base?

would this also work with AOSP roms? or should i just flash the one in the shipped radio thread?

I noticed that in the last few weeks everytime I make a call the link is noisey. My friend said Sprint recently started adding LTE and the area and I needed to upgrade.
Question now is what is it I need to update? The baseband or the radio? I already did a PRL and PRI update.
I am running SOS+ Rom android version 2.3.5 baseband 2.15.00.09.01 PRI 1.77 PRL 60797.
Any advice would be appeciated

Baseband & radio are the same thing. If it's not up to date I would update it. You'll need to be S-off to update your firmware (radio).

That's the latest radio, yes.
As far as being S-off, you need to check. You don't have to be S-off to install a custom ROM, only rooted. Contrary to popular belief, root & S-off aren't the same.
