Trying to install the new stock HTC_IME (touch input) apk on CM6 and I always get an "application not installed" message.
Anyone been successful or have any ideas? I have HTC_mod installed and want the stock for the arrows. And supposedly it's now multi-touch.
Thanks.
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution yet?

Hi guys,
Getting a bit annoyed about a problem i have since i rooted the phone. Had the full version installed of SlideIT, rooted my phone, tried to install SlideIT again but got the error "application not installed".
Tried a rew recoveries and even unrooting the phone but still no succes. Completely wiped everything and gave it another shot, without succes.
Have tried to install it tru ADB but the only message i get from it is "pm: not found"
Funny enough i can install SlideIT lite but that doesn't solve this problem. Also i'm quite worried this will happen more often and without a possible fix this is going to be a pain in the behind...
Is there someone in here that knows how to fix this problem? Or could give me some tips to find out more about it?
Post can be deleted, or possible used for other ppl that run into the same problem.
Problem found in incorrect filesignature, can be fixed by downloading another version or throwing away your old files.
Hi,
I keep bumping in to a problem since i've been flashing custom roms.
To be specific, after a rom flash i can't install the full version of SlideIT 1.5 anymore. I keeps giving me the error "Application not installed".
I've tried several options to fix this problem like fully wiping the phone through the recovery screen, factory reset and resigning the package. I'm able to install SlideIT lite 1.5 and the 1.2 full version but no succes with 1.5.
I'm quite sure this has something to do with the signature but i can't find the solution. Is there someone here that possibly knows what to do about this?

Issue is this:
To install the ROM, you will need the ClockWorkmod ROM Manager.
Start Android Market on your phone and search for ROM Manager. Install the Clockwork Mod ROM Manager. Note that your Defy must be rooted before you can install ROMs on it.
Click to collapse
Being as I deleted google apps I can't use the market. So I managed to find a googleapps1.3 apk file on the net, reinstalled it but it just crashes and requires force close whenever it starts, have been told it is a permissions issue so I tried fixing permissions via ROM manager but I get this error:
"An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"
Now ultimately I want 2.2 froyo anyway, but what is the best way to get the correct Clockwork Mod ROM Manager APK for a motorola defy? I've looked everywhere but cannot find it.
ROM manager has an option to download it, but it only gives options for Droid x, droid 2 and some other non defy phone.
So how do I get myself out of this pickle and install froyo 2.2 or at least get google apps 1.3 working again?
Really appreciate any help, thanks guys
had to make a new account as my password wont work and neither will password recovery
anyway I tried using the defy recovery but it says the update.zip file is invalid and doesn't pass the certificate test or some random thing
how am to get google apps working again? all I want is my stock rom working, or if I can get a 2.2 version that is exactly the same that'd be great.
Can anyone help me? I have the googleapps.apk file but it just crashes if I reinstall it.
If you just want to get back to stock...
1. Send it in for repair.
2. Find a relevant SBF file and flash via RSD Lite. What does Settings -> About phone tells you?
system version blur_version.2.51.1.mb25.retail.en.GB
JRDNEM_U3_2.5.1.1
where would I look to find the SBF file?
managed to find a stock rom and reflash it, all is good now
thanks guys
You may have noticed that some apps in the app store are "Not available for your device" I absolutely despise that fact that they outright ban you from downloading the app. Give me a warning about mismatched resolutions, whatever, but make NO way to get the apps?! GRRRR!!!! But I digress....
I'm trying to get the myChevrolet and Onstar RemoteLink apps, neither of which are available for our Epic Touch 4G apparently. I can't find the apk's on the web and I've spent hours trying to get the Android Market to work an an Android emulator so I could get the apps and pull the apk from there, but apparently I'm just not going to be able to get the #$%^ market to work either.
Can anybody help here? Send me the apk's or help me get the market working on emulator or some other suggestion ?
I had no problems installing those apps from the market.

I'm not sure why the onstar remote link shows as a zip in my app folder instead of as an apk if that doesn't work let me know

Did you change the DPI on your device? If you did the market won't let you install certain aps.
im0rtalz Thanks, but the first link is broken. I renamed the .zip to .apk, but when I try to install I just get "application not installed". The icon is there though, so I suspect it comes back to a screen resolution issue.
I did not change my DPI, but I am running Calkulins E4GT v2 ROM. I'm guessing the ROM includes a modded resolution???
Sorry I had not check back into this thread please try this one for the apk version

Hello,
I just got my GS3 from AT&T and I flashed Task650 Rom for it, the ROM is great, however, I would prefer to use the SAMSUNG (not sensing as the title shows) camera that came with stock.
When I try to install apk of the sensing camera from stock I just get a message "package was not installed".
I tried coping and fixing permissions into system/app and/or data!00, no luck.
Can someone please explain how to do this?
Thanks,
