Seriously though. Android 6 is not much of an upgrade over "Android 5.1". If google were to be honest they would have named it "android 5.2"
I much prefer a bug-free 5.1.1 Rom than a buggy 6 rom. For example fixing all the battery issues would be nice (no serious leaks, mask the dreaded "15%" issue, etc)...

I have some questions plz answer these -
1. Does it have 2.5 D glass
2. How good is the display i.e. are blacks deep like Samsung phones considering it has an amoled display
3. How is the build quality?Had any scratches
4. How good is development for this phone ,I mean I have Mi4 and still is well developed Can I expect these to be developed for at least 2 - 3 years.
5.Is camera that bad ?
1. No.
2. IMO yes.
3. Superb. No wiggle room anywhere.
4. TBH quite bad at the moment compared to other devices. It seems like progress is being made although very slowly. The stock ROM is decent enough to warrant using it in the meantime though.
5. It's bad. God... So bad.
The display is amazing, i didn't want to purchase another Amoled screen ever again since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus but this phone is worth it.
Even though the build is great with an all metal build.. you should still get a case and screen protector to keep it shiny.
I'm sure development will get much better, there is no rush. After reading around the forums it seems the Roms are usable.. but hey.. it is a lot better than the Dev for the Zenfone Max. They have troubles with no offline charging and phone doesn't turn on when battery reach 0%, so users have to keep it above 5% in order to not semi brick it. This device don't have those bugs.. so that's good.
Also another good thing is that they have numerous Roms and am glad that they update the Lineage 13 Roms too, but Stock Rom is just as fine.
Until Lenovo fully stops updating soon; probably by September 2018.. using Custom Roms would be ideal to update when it happens. That would be my suggestion.

Hey, Thanks bro
But I think Redmi note 4 which retails as same price has many more developers and roms and much more engagement.Thats why I am a little worried to buy this. Here I saw just 2 developers doing all the work.I respect their work. But still we are here lacking kernels etc.
Do u think lenovo will continue providing updates till September 2018.I don't think so.

No. This also works as fingerprint reader so I do not imagine it could work scratched.

From a technical perspective it seems like a great device indeed. But you are correct. Moto & Redmi (I guess Huawei too) are more widely-spread. However (speaking for me and the local market) compared to the best available version of Moto G5, this phone has slightly better technical specifications (+1gb ram) for the same price.
Dude, I really hope, that I will enjoy this phone as much as my old G2 and my ancient Galaxy S. :fingers-crossed:
I'm planning on getting a backup phone (Have a s8plus and mix2). I see that Kirin SOCs aren't getting much attention from devs. Based on your experience, will this change? Or am I better off waiting for the Redmi note 5?
PS: Also how is the UI? Just okay or buttery smooth? That k you in advance.

Not sure about development.. I don't think u will get great development like Redmi...
Regarding UI. Its superb.. No lag. No stuttering. No heat. Its butter smooth only.. May be u won't get timely updates but having a bugfree OS is better than getting buggy updates every months...

Hi,
I've bought the phone recently and I've been expriementing with the camera.
there is NO EIS at all to stablize the video on any res.
which is surprising, considering the Kirin 970 inside.
is it possible that it'd be implemented via a software update?
yeah EIS can be enabled by software
For all other Phones also Huawei recently enabled EIS Via Software update
any official news? they are definitely gonna added EIS? im looking to buy but without EIS this phone is worthless to me.

I'm pretty much sure that it doesn't.
aside from the option not being in the settings, there's no kind of stabilization, what so ever, in the camera.

Hi, i own a galaxy A32 4g (SM-A325F/DS) [DS stands for dual sim]. However its laggy asf. It has a 90Hz display but due to lag feels like a 60Hz display at some times. I know it has a mediatek helio g80 chipset inside it. Games run smoothly. But the android software itself lags like crazy making the phone feel very cheap. Any roms optimized for this guy? Because i dont expect samsung to optimize this phone. The phone is getting one ui 4.0 somewhere in may june or april. My hopes are low for any better optimizations. Meanwhile any fix for the crappy software? Even tho this chip aint that powerful it still has potential to make the phone feel premium only if it was optimized.
Also dont reply saying just turn animations off from developers settings. Whats the point then. Animations are what polish the android os. Without them phone feel even more cheap
There's no custom recovery hence no roms.
Yeah, i have the same phone and one ui here is pretty pretty bad, it closes youtube music all the time and lags badly, but samsung recently released the january update, did you update your phone to it?
