I agree with you T2U is almost dead, even my 4 years old tablet Nexus 7 2012 got a lot of MM ROMs, ports and mods.
I regret buying this phone because of this thing
No Dev's.. As maybe bcoz... this phone isnt popular enough to grab dev's attention..
it is one of the best phone in its timeline.. (i think)
just wondering.. if we.. T2 users, can request.. dev(s) to get us new ROM.. is it possible?

They'll need the phone itself first if they wanna do work.
But then the T2U/C3 series has a lot of messed up or half-done work. Missing camera sensor folders, no QC 2.0, broken GPU governors. It's like they used this model as a test for newer ones.

Slow, still doing work on their stuff. No devs with our phone, no work.
I'm going to move to the Redmi Note 4 soon, Snapdragon 652 at less than the price of the C3 with dev support. Give it up lol

if i satisfied, why should i come into these lovely XDA forum?
well anyway, i come into XDA since . . .
1. a lot of bloatware (asus seems to be aware of it, recently added/updated the abilty to remove/uninstall the bloatware)
2. pretty fast? yes
but something like try to left behind the previous flagship, zenfone 2 still stuck on lollipop
3. i do know zenfone 2 using intel, hope ZF3 (snapdragon) never repeated the issues the big brother
Activated mine yesterday, 2 updates were downloaded in the 1st 12 hours.
1st was about 250mb to 300mb and the 2nd was a little one at approx 80mb...
So basically my mate got a z5 under his insurance about 5 months ago..I believe it was a new handset..sealed original box etc..his now getting a s10..debating if I should buy it off him..he said it gets hot alot..and now after googling it, it seems common..or can it be resolved with root and mods??thankyou
Currently got a budget 2018 phone with sd450..the Vodafone smart x9..
It's still a really fast phone. Depends on what you do on a phone but for the majority, it should be enough. Official support has been cut which means no more security updates from Sony but you can still flash it to lineage os and get the latest security updates from this forum.
I don't game on a phone..i wait to go on tablet..I wouldn't say I'm a heavy user really..the 23mp camera would be nice to have..

Everything @Mike3009 wrote. For use as a normal fone, this is good. Put a custom ROM on it that gets updates and you're good to go. It all depends on the price you get it for...
Sent from my Galaxy Tab S5e using XDA Labs
hopefully for free lol, after he gets his s10 he might be kind

Samsung Members App
Still not available for the A505U1...
Also the fingerprint sensor issue is better as far I can see. I had some trouble rooting it but after a second try it work better. Battery life feels a little better also. So far so good......
I don't know how send images but I am sure they still have not fixed the bug with draining battery by Android system

It doesn't make any sense. It's not that I'm in a hurry since from my last experiences sometimes updating to a newer Android version makes the phone work worse than with the version it first shipped with.
But, that being said, why would Samsung roll out the update to cheaper and less popular devices like the A30/M30 and delay it for it's second most sold phone in 2019? What about A70 users!? They paid for a higher end product and they are left behind even worse.
Just received official Global miui 12 update. Did you guys too?
Tip: I did factory reset after miui 12 update & most of my bugs got fixed, make sure to make backup first if guys are doing that
I still didnt received miui 12 on my note 8 pro.. Im from Europe maybe it takes longer
Have you installed it yet? Does it lag?

I had checked received early updates option under update settings, just for the info:
I got my device 2 months ago and it is very snappy. I have no interest in having it become irreversibly laggy because of a major update.
I would love to hear if anybody had applied the update yet and if it slows the phone down.
If it does I will not update-- I'd rather have a snappy phone than one with the latest bells and whistles but sluggish!

Then you might have to wait for the comments of few more people & yes i have noticed little bit lag, & also my chrome is lagging for some reason & i am not sure it's because of my 4g internet or my browser, just received update two hours ago

Hehe
Just got the OTA, will install it asap.
I'm in Europe
I have just received the update (12.0.2) today. I'm from Chile, i have the global version, and it's been pretty good my phone. Pretty fast, new features quite good.
'll keep u in touch
Thanks, I will wait!
I've had this happen to me with previous phones. It's hard to resist the impulse to update, but sometimes it's really a big mistake.

Im from Europe, but i install global version over twrp, for me, everything works just fine, without lag for now, and one big plus, camera is way way beter now.
I'm also of course curious if some of the issues with the previous version (BT/Wifi interference, etc) are resolved

Are you saying you installed the downloaded zip file over TWRP? Or did you take the OTA file? I'm wondering because I have TWRP and Magisk installed. I've been notified for the OTA update, but I've also already downloaded the stock ROM.

Don't update. It looks nice, have some cool features, camera is better, but it feels like it is not the same phone anymore. It lags, some animations are perfect, but many are not. Icons animation is ugly for me, text size is also not OK for me, some is bold and some is not...
The best firmware was Android 9, all after that is worse and worse.
Btw I did factory reset after I updated, like I always do after major update...
Thanks!!
So glad I checked with you guys!
I noticed the slight slowdown also between A9 and a10 within MIUI 11 itself.
Still fast, but an ever so slight lag that wasn't there before.
I assume there is no way to revert to MIUI 11 without unlocking the device....
I'll pass!

This whole episode makes a good argument for unlocking and rooting. Even though I have avoided doing that since I had my Nexus phone, it would seem that this is the only way to prevent your phone from becoming obsolete.
The RN8P is not an old phone and its such a shame that Xiaomi would release an update that would degrade the performance so much...and not give regular users the option of reverting....but then again, I have seen this happen on my previous phones too.
My previous phone was an LG G6, a flagship from a few years ago. When new it came installed with A6, and by the last update was A9, which literally made the device unusable.
Manufacturers are in a dilemma, because on one hand power users demand updates for the latest versions, yet inevitably these newer updated versions use more resources and aren't optimized as well for a legacy device.
At the very least the manufacturers should provide an easy method of downgrading.

I really do not know why Xiaomi doesn't offer official method to rollback as Huawei does via PC Suite.
I am about to unlock my bootloader, but I am not sure what to do next, as all of these tutorials are so confusing.
I think I have to root then, and no idea what comes next...
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Yes it is confusing, Xiaomi does not make it easy to root, I suggest you submit your questions for guidance on unlocking in one of the dedicated threads
