Shipped Rom

so im guessing this is the official official? not the one that was already released?

I think it's the one that was already released, and in my opinion it's not the complete ROM, the USB tethering isn't active and there's no facebook app/widget.

I have a rom with test key before this. I tried renaming to update but I got an error when updating.

Oh also there is no facebook app or widget. it just download contact photo's and photo albums and you can update facebook or twitter status from your own contacts.

lol. one hd shaped brick coming up.... seriously, a senior member with over 2,500 posts tells you not to flash it to your HD cos you'll brick your phone and you go ahead and do it anyway? you are going to spend a lot of tim unbricking handsets with people laughing at you....

Seconded. still amazes me how many noobs go ahead and flash stuff without reading first....i still remember my first flash back on the magician....spent days reading up on it first so that i thought i could do it without bricking my precious new toy!

Download an already ported her rom, JAC hero for example. Flash the SPL (as long as you have the new radio) and then flash the rom...

I've downloaded it and flashed my hero immediately when I finished download.It really works.You can't image how fast it is!
Previous ROM vertion is RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.5_WWE_release_signed_NoD river.exe with rooted.
First try,I failed,it said"ID CHECK FAILED",then I changed to the GoldenCard(a special TF card) and flashed again,everything goes fine.
It has only two language,Traditional Chinese & English.
Just one word"Perfect"~

Yes,so I have original stabel ROM!
But I will wait for an update.zip,based on original 2.1 ROM.
So I can use recovery menu and have root!

We're proving that today. We hope to have the first 100% working version of this ROM up today, and if someone beats us to it, I'll be surprised. We've had to fix quite a bit you see

[ROOTED] Official GSM Hero 2.1 update

You WILL need fastboot + the unlocked SPL as I'm too lazy to create an update.zip now. Feel free to take my work and republish it as an update.zip.
This ROM will work on every GSM Hero.
OCed version is fast as hell. Faster than any ROM arround here IMHO.
GPS fix is very fast with the new radio too.
Don't blame me for bugs.
You NEED to download OverclockWidget from the Market to overclock!!
The keyboard MAY be broken. IF SO, turn off the prediction in it's settings. Kthx.

What exactly is this? Everyone keeps saying its a stock ROM... but I'm still not sure what to do to use it? Just flash over 4.5 and that's it? If someone could explain it to me..... hopefully... thank you!

it's ODEXED (smaller optimized packages) makes some things like boot up and loading apps faster. formerly known to not be able to optimize or theme. it looks stock but Mik has optimized and modded his 4.62b. which he states that in his opinion ODEX is faster than DEODEX (which is what most custom roms are).
now if you want to flash just nand back up and full wipe then flash the files of your choosing. MIK will be coming out with a ODEX base ROM thats fully modifiable, customized, theme-able should be sometime soon.
i have a sample of what it looks like themed in my sig. its very stable fast and great battey im using nets 4.3.4

Just follow the directions. Backup, wipe, flash. It's a ROM, treat it as such.

I flashed 4.6b2 its great for beta. But I would like the hotspot to work as it did in 4.5. But I'm sure its work in progress. Keep up the good work.

The hot spot works from wat I see but it gives me a error code. Sry forgot to mention that. And HTC sense is starting to force close on me constantly now. Proxy going back to 4.5 till its out of beta or atleast next beta release

the beta? a few weeks ago. now the final is said to be sunday?? a fully themed, modded and mikoptimized ODEX yes odex ROM. its already out on the shift.

i even got stuck for a while..
NO, it's UNofficial, a little bit UNstable and not fully-featured port of one of the greatest _custom_ roms..
that's why you have to flash recovery, flash rom and deal with all of it's cons. OTA is ONLY for stable 2.3.6 vanilla value pack roms developed and approved by Sammy, god damn their stupid marketeers

ROM was made not by Samsung but by a bunch of talented enthusiastic guys
and they know what to do, that's why we have just to DL and strictly follow the instructions to install, there isn't any other way
is DL'ing still a problem somewhere? even me in such a third world country as Ukraine (yeah, we had football) have cheap (~4$\month for 30 mb of EDGE daily) and tons of free wi-fi
