[Q] Navigation crash

I have at problem with the navigation i google maps on my galaxy Nexus.
it simply crashes when every time i try to use it any one got a similar problem?
How can i fix it?
Not sure how you can fix it, but I don't have that problem.
I was using Google Maps couple of times and got no crash problem.
Do you have that issue with other GPS apps? Like other navigation apps? Try that.
Clear Cache and data of Google Maps and try again.
Are you on a custom ROM?
I am not on any costum ROM yet, and I am on version 4.0.1.
i have tried to clear both data an cache but it did not fix the problem
I have the same problem - stock ROM. It crashes on 4.0.1 and 4.0.2. Also tried to clear cache and uninstall updates. Nothing works
You could try downloading a GApps zip, search on here, then extract the navigation.apk and install manually? Turn off unknown sources, dump the apk onto the phone and launch it manually. Might work. Can't think of anything else. Good luck.
If i go into Navigation, then it crashes...the only way i was able to get navigation to work, is to search the address in google maps, then select navigate within the google maps app.
im not sure if you did this or not, but when you have hotplug enabled Navigation will force your phone to reboot when the screen is off. so if you have done anything with the cpu, that might cause the FC. (Undervolt, overclock, and hotplug(when screen is on) have no affect on navigation. Android 4.0.3)

[Solved] Can't voice->text, Google search error?

Post OTA update to JB from ICS I encounter the following:
When I use the voice->text when composing an SMS or doing a search in chrome I get the following message:
Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped.
Then the input is stuck as voice.
When I open the blue Google app I get the same error, but at least this time I can switch back to keyboard input.
I've tried the following:
Reboot phone-same issue
Kill the Google Search task, reboot-same issue
Using APP search for Google Search, clear cache, clear defaults, reboot-same issue
Any other suggestions? Maybe it's just me with this issue?
Running Hboot 1.39, stock rom,
Just got a google search update OTA. It provided more functionality than before; when I tap the mic and talk it says it can't hear me and to try again. This is better than before, but still not working. It's the same after rebooting the phone.
Solved,
CWM nandroid restore to stock ROM fixed whatever it was.

[Q] Google Now swipe up shortcut not working in 15.4.A.1.9

The shortcut to Google Now, where you swipe up from the nav bar for me stopped working as soon as I had a call after a reboot in 15.4.A.0.23. I couldn't wait for the 15.4.A.1.9 update, hoping it would fix the problem, but it's still there.
Anyone else has this problem?

That usually happens when you don't have Google Search (Now) Installed from Playstore. If it is installed and still the navbar shortcut is not working just clean app data and cache of Google Search (Now) and reboot. I guess that should fix the problem

But it came installed with the update, I didn't manually install it or anything. And I have tried deleting the app cache and data. Nothing worked. And it's really getting on my nerves, because it's a really handy shortcut and I search from my phone fairly often. Thanks for the reply, anyway

[Q] Google Phone search not working after Flashing

Hi,
I just flashed Viperone 2.0.0.Everything seems fine but my google phone search is no longer working. Everything else in google search is just fine. If I go to Settings/Phone search it is blank. I used to have several options to choose from. Namely apps. Which Is one of the main uses I have for google search on my phone. Now I have nothing to enable or disable. Anyone else experience this? If this is the wrong forum I apologize as I am not sure if this is a 4.4.3 issue or a Viperone issue. Thanks

i have the same problem, did you find a fix?
Yeah as soon as I flashed the newer version of the rom it went back to normal. Did you do that or are you still on 2.0.0?
