You do realize that the HTC Legend runs HTC Sense? We already have a great theme for that. It's called HTC Sense and it comes with every HTC Hero out there.

yes iknow that but i would like to have the ui in settnings and like friendstream

Any 2.1 rom should have that menu and the friendstream is an app when someone gets hold of the .apk for it then that should be possible as well.

We won't be able to theme something like FriendStream, but like mentioned above, there will be an APK for it.
Within minutes of the Legend being released we will have a system dump. It won't be long.

I am also waiting a lot for the dev's to get the ROm of the HTC Desire and Legend and adapt it for Hero!
I am so excited to get all these new features ( i don't care about the stupid pinch to see desktops, but the copy-paste , Bluetooth audio on 2.1 ROM, the new contact widgets, etc..)
Villain is really nice but still buggy and i am sure it will get really better when he will get the Legend/Bravo sources!

im hoping its soon its a really nice UI !!

I'm looking forward to this as well. Does villain have good 3d gaming? i havent tried his yet because of this.

You do know we can already copy and paste don't you? Bluetooth audio works on some 2.1 roms already and so does the new contact widget and even pinch zoom on desktop. Currently the only real thing we are missing is the friend stream.

No it does have problems with this but that's more due to the files we have available than how he has made the rom, we need a more complete htc 2.1 rom before this will work properly

He won't get the Legend/Bravo sources! Android 2.1 is already available AOSP, and the HTC stuff is closed source.
To be honest, I rather expect the Hero update to be pretty much everything that will be on the Legend, so the real issue here is which will come first - the Legend or the Hero 2.1 update?

He probably meant that the copy and paste feature have been much improved since 1.5, if you watch the presentation of the new HTC phones.

In about a month, we're getting the same Sense update..

For the who wants to know:
The new ROM is already compiled for the Nexus one and works 99%.
I really hope that once it's OK for the N1, we will get it for the Hero!

The work making a rom based off of the Legend is pointless since it would be the same thing your getting.

Exactly, people don't seem to be understanding this point.
Also about 80-85% of the features are also available on custom roms (albeit maybe a little buggy until we get the real thing)

Not yet, info on the net is very limited, I'm going to unpack it tonight and see what I can find in there. I'm sure there will be some devs cooking up a nice alpha ROM soon.

the mytouch 3g slide had a couple of customizations which weren't available in other builds. don't know about the 4g.

haha I traded my Slide to some poor sucker on Craigslist for my HD2 a few months ago. No regrets!

Im just hoping that we can get UMA working on our phones, cause the signal in my house is incredibly bad, and its hurting my business when customers call me and the call drops. And as far as I know - the Glacier will have something like UMA. Or am I wrong?

The Mytouch UI isnt bad IMO. I cant wait to see what it turns out to be. Some of you can try to rain on our parade but some of us will enjoy it. It might suck, it might be awesome, who knows.

sense 2.1 skins and gingerbread untouched

Im having trouble installing the themes from the DHD sense 2.1 skin thread. They install fine, but cant seem to get them to show in the skins picker. Anybody got a fix, or perhaps a set of skins that works?

thanks, but had already found the answer to the question id asked before anyone paid it any attention :/ thanks anyway, though. And its not just those tbolt skins that seem to work, as ive tried others from the tbolt theme thread, and they worked as well. Thise do seem to be the best looking, IMHO (Rogue Sense being my personal fave).

more sensitive carousel

Does anyone Find that the carousel feature on sense 3.0 isn't sensitive enough? HTC came into work to demo the latest phones and I realized how easy its intended to be to get into this mode. I want to try work on a fix but I'm not sure where to start. The first thing to work out is if just controlled in the Rosie APK or could it be to do with screen sensitivity controled in another file.
If anyone has any knowlage about this it would be greatly appreciated

I'll have a look at this in the morning. I intended this to be more of a development thread as I intend to be able to work this into something to include in a rom. would be a good addition to the dev forums. Its so much easer to use on devices like the evo 3d and sensation xl, We should be able to change this with a bit of knowledge about the coding

Why?
Its only 5 screens, and all it does is spin you back to the same screen you were on. I don't want mine more senstive than it is really, otherwise it will be kicking off at random when I don't need it.

Sense 3.5 and Sensation based roms such as Virtuous Unity 2.39 seem to have much more sensitive carousels (1 full screen slide = spin). Its just the official HTC RUU 3.06.405.1 roms such as Revolution that have really difficult to spin carousels.
I'm pretty used to using the carousel to spin 3-4 screens, even though its probably slower... (But at least its just a full swipe and a tap, instead of 4 half slides)

Its 7, and even on sensitive roms such as VU and sense 3.5 roms, its pretty difficult to activate without trying as you have to slide around 75% of the screen somewhat quickly.

HTC sense 4+ wallpaper losing scrolling effect?

I found that my wallpaper suddenly became unscrollable after back to sense 4+ from apex launcher. I had just upgraded to android 4.1 last two days.

this is absurd i like rosie and i cant even use my LWP

Dang... Someone needs to get a mod for that.. I really liked the scrolling wallpaper effect..
Not only did it look awesome, it allowed us to have a high quality wallpaper and see everything that was on it...

I too just found out that I no longer has scrolling wallpaper. Is it me or is someone from HTC making retarded choices for their updates. If you have a functionality such as wallpaper scrolling, you cannot take it away when you update the firmaware...I did not buy something and have it taken away in the upgrade.
It should not require someone to do a hack to get that function back. I don't have an iPhone because I know what it can and what it cannot do...
HTC, you need to listen to your users.

I installed official JB update and for a few days bg scrolling was working normally then out*off nothing it stopped. Any solution?

You could try using Go Launcher, or any of the other launchers on the market, they will give you the scrolling WP. Unless if you're like me and you like Sense, then alas we're stuck with it

Anyone know if there is a mod for this yet for Sense? I haven't seen anything yet and would really love the scrolling WP back.

I think we just need to go back to GB for the scrolling WP...and any other i might add, like bouncing effect...in every update HTC made, it will get simpler and lesser in graphic...just more software but no theme....
