Froyo 2.2 - myTouch 3G Slide Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone seen or ported into a slide a stable version of 2.2 froyo or even a CM rom?
I had a 2.1 floor model with bloatware and it SUCKED!!!
last night playing around i got it rooted and flashed over Eugene373's rom and its slick **** the only thing is I've done some research and they say 2.2 is not only going to make your device FASTER but it will also allow you to space your apps on SD card instead of internal memory
Thanks Guys

Search the development section a port of cm5 and cm6 are both in there. And froyo does make your phone faster.

[Q] Is there a froyo rom w/o sense and working 4g?

I am currently running the latest CM6 nightly, and love the fact that there is no HTC sense. My only gripe is the lack of 4G. Are there any new froyo roms with working 4G and without HTC sense? I searched the forms and tested a few roms, but couldnt find anything.
Thanks!
EDIT: Answered my own question.. sorry! For anyone who may be wondering, try Baked Snack or Fresh Evo 3.0.0.4
I thought both Baked Snack and Fresh did have Sense...? I'm running Fresh 3.1.0.1 right now and it definitely has Sense.
What a weird post.
sent from my Evo running gingerbread
fresh does have sense not sure on backed snacks though (i thought it did just not 100%).
i'm looking for this also, fresh seems to waste a lot of my battery power that's why i love CM6 but with no 4g i'm like meh.
hopefully DC 3.5 goes live soon. In the beta you can remove sense as with there older roms.

Most stable ROM with Sense 3.0?

Any ideas? I'm itching to try out the new Sense 3.0, but don't want to be hindered by bugs/issues but would like most features available as well. I don't want to have to go back and forth to different ROM's all the time. Or is it too early to into development to get a stable ROM?
Thanks!
Too early right now. Give it a little bit

Yeah...too early.. although Virus Kingdom B1.1 Sense 3.0 looks really promising. B1 has many bugs
thanks guys, I'll stick with CM7 until then

HEY man ... got to say < VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution | B1 | 2.3.3 | SENSE 3.0 > is my Daily driver.. for more then a week.. bugs and all do a full wipe,, and wipe allll.... then flash away..
Yea, Kingdom REVOlution B1.1 is looking good. B1 is good enough for a daily driver, and the changelog for B1.1 looks good.
Take the advice from the others and wait. There's stable sense 2.0-2.1 roms out there but sense 3.0 is no where near done. Be patient and be thankful you have a great smart phone

I was going to ask a similar question.
I'm running MikGinger right now and was hoping he would tweak it further but I guess it's not gonna happen.
Overall it's not bad, but it's a bit piggy on battery (unless you roll back to PRI 1.77) and I really prefer not roll back to PRI 1.77. But then I read mixed reports that the poor battery comes back (not full sleep).
I thought the HTC 3D Leak was going lead somewhere and now that appears dead.
Virus' Revolution ROM makes me nervous seeing a big fat link to PRI 1.77 and smells like it has the same issues as MikGinger. It's also not clear which Kernel it uses? The HTC 4G leaked one, or what. It's very unclear.
I like Cyanogen ASOP for some things but other things like ROCK solid GPS and WIFI. It worked but flaky.
Kingdom revolution is actually quite stable if : You partition your SD card correctly, and don't overdo it with apps.
The new Mail app is very nice, and if you push the new camera apk this Is a great glimpse at what 3.0 is going to be like. It's my daily right now. When you first flash it it acts up for a bit than settles down (the first rom i've had do this)
Virus kingdom for sure its my daily

That isn't dead. Virus is only working on releasing B1.1 for the Kingdom and then he'll work on the 3D leak

I run very few apps and nothing installed to SD Card.
Do I really need to partition my SD Card for it to run stable? I've avoided it so far because I know I run so few apps.

Good to know. I flashed this last week and it was acting up for about 30 minutes before I decided to take it off and restore back to CM7. Thanks.

I didn't partition and this ROM works fine for me. The only issues that I really have are Maps not working and the weather app force closing. Both are not really issues for me cuz I mainly use sprint nav and I can see the weather just fine on the clock and lockscreen. I also have only the bare minimum of the apps I use installed.
None of the 3.0 ROMs are ready by a long shot for general use. They are fun to play with. V Kingdom is the only thing close and calling that stable is a stretch. It is for some but most its not. Lockscreen issues, Borked 4g, Maps and Google Nav not working, Some have GPS issues some don't. Sense does random FC and loadings and so on and so on.
Hopefully 1.2 will be better but honestly IMO the releases have been less stable not more
b.o.s. has a new rom out based on virus kingdom port. i was going to try it but it looks as if the dl link is broken or my computer is

[Q] HTC Sense 3.0 Lockscreen for Droid Incredible w/ Gingerbread ROM?

I have the leaked Gingerbread ROM for my Incredible, which I decided to revert to after spending a day with the Kingdom Sense 3.0 ROM. I really loved the lockscreen though, and have seen the download link for the Evo and similar phones floating around, but I know it's the wrong screen size, and don't myself have the skills to fix it. Does anyone know if an appropriately sized Sense 3.0 Lockscreen APK for the Incredible exists, or if not, would someone be willing to make one? The Kingdom Alpha ROM is just too buggy. Maybe some day soon, but for now I just want something functional I can still enjoy
There is a apk. However it doesn't have the icons on the screen. Works well though.

I strongly suggest using gingersense remix (wdfowty I think). It is a gingersense port that includes a bunch of 3.0 features (mostly 2.1 sense) but actually runs on our phones. It includes a working 3.0 lockscreen-if you use the apk then it is the lockscreen only, no shortcuts-just the ring to unlock and no animations.
I can promise if you try this rom you will not be disappointed....
It won't run on the gingerbread leak due to the fact that it is sense 1.0 and not sense 2.1.
I just realized it was you joel that posted the last reply. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of your uber gingershift
My advise to you is look at the ones built off the leaked version for the incredible.
I am running mik miks gingersense beta and it seems to have stabilized enough to use until the official release and subsequent roms built off the final release are out.
Also I dont know if it is coincidence or if it helped but flashing the leaked gb radio is what i did right before everything seemed to stabilize...
Also I believe i was getting better signal on redemption 2.4 than i am on these gingerbread ones.
I moved to mik miks after i was having issues on Gingersense remixed b4 with random restarts and being unable to dial out. Though I now believe I was the cause for most of those issues on a mistake I made when I restored some apps from titanium backup. Make sure you only restore apps you have downloaded not system apps that should not be in the new rom.

Best GB + Sense 3.0 Roms?

I been looking at gingerbread and sense 3.0 roms for the last two days and I'm stuck between MikRom and VirusRom, are there anymore ? I want to keep the sense feel but have a stable rom. I really won't have time to keep updating alot so need something that works before I start wiping my phone.
I've ran both. MikMik was way more stable (at least when I switched). I've been using it as my daily rom for awhile, and it just updated yesterday and became more stable (supposedly). If you can hold your breath long enough, Synergy aka Myn's Warm 2.3, should be coming out soon. His last one is ancient in terms of android roms, and its still one of the most widely used roms.
To help yourself decide, go to android development and filter the list based on stats...you'll see who's rom is the most talked about and theat can help filter out the crap (or brand new which MIGHT not be stable yet)
I'm on mik's 2.0 so far the best I have used fast bug fixes if you can find one not a true 3.0 but it is fast smooth and a large user base with new mods every day give it a try and see what you think

The only one of the two I've run is MikG's, and it's pretty sweet
Thanks guys I been surfing the mik mik forums also. Quick question does Mik rom has 3.0 notification bar and camera what all is sense 3.0 besides the Lockscreen?
I could only find videos of virus rom on youtude

Newbie - Which Rom?

Hey everyone!
I'll be honest; my phone has been running sprint lovers rom since late december last year and it works great. Since then, I haven't really looked at the scene or any developments (same with android). However, I started getting prompted about the OTA update, so I figure its time to look at a new custom ROM. Sadly sprint lovers no longer appears to be updated - I liked it because everything just worked.
I have the following requirements: All phone features need to work.
So, I found the AllianceROM, from what I can tell everything works with the rom. Are there any other roms I may want to look at? Will my nand unlock and root work? Most of the rom installers say to run the latest version of autoroot - is that really necessary?
Thanks everyone, I appreciate your input!!
kingsrom alliance is great also hyrbids sense 3.0 themed all sense 3.0 rom's are Good but have horrible battery life cuz of no custom kernels because HTC hasn't released the kernel source

Personally, I recommend CM7 along with the Tiamat Kernel, powered with viperboy's scripts.

Hello there, friend.
The previous posts have everything pretty much nailed down... but there's a few thinks I have to add.
As a Newbie that I am, I have been flashing nonstop, trying many roms.
Basically and on a quick run-down of what I remember right now..:
If you want your phone to look Apple-ish, try MIUI. not everything works, or you have to jump through hoops to get it to work. Personally, not my cup of tea, but it's light (sizewise) and quick. Too many bugs, tho.
Cyanogen is the standard AOSP (Open Source) ROM. I didn't like it that much. With it, I found I am a Sense guy. Still a little buggy but 4G works (a big downfall in many AOSP ROMS).
Virus' Kingdom REVOlution is a great Sense 3.0 ROM. MY pet peeves with it are: Browser force closes (FC) and no spanish dictionary for touch input. I am bi-lingual so I NEED this. This ROM has a carrousel (sp) home window and it REALLY LOOKS NICE. It's a battery hog, but you will get that with sense 3.0 roms and 2.1 with 3.0 elements pushed into it. It's the price you pay for nice eye-candy. If you get this ROM, make sure you partition your card as directed in one of their thousands of posts. Search will do you well here. This is because the ROM occupies a lot of space in your phone and as you install apps, you will eventually be left with very low memory for your other tasks.
Mik's ROMS are very solid, but I simply don't like the way they look. Truth is, I can't be simpler than this. If you make a ROM, make it look nice. The idea behind rooting, for many, is to be able to use the hotspot capabilities, but for many of us, looks also matter. Sometimes, a LOT.
Myn's ROMS, I define with just a simple phrase: ROCK SOLID.
* Warm Z is awesome. Landscape support for main screen, polished beautiful looks and great battery life make this a keeper... if you don't care about having 4G. Since this ROM is based off the Desire HD, it has no 4G support.
* Warm 2.2 is the most solid of them all. Everything works. Towards the end, I ran my battery close to 24 hrs with this mod and the Netarchy 4.3.4 (HAVS, aggressive yaddah plus whatever, I can't remember now) and had NO ISSUES AT ALL. It was a daily for more than 2 months. With some mods that Myn lists in that same page you can make it look even nicer.
STEEL ROMS are basically stock roms that have been tweaked to WORK, and that, they do, and they do it very well. As with these kinds of ROMS, expect heavy files (anywhere from 250 - 300 MB and maybe more).
I hope this has helped you a bit, friend. Happy wiping!
yeah and viperboys scripts are badass battery life savers
Here is the link to a ROM with sprintlover's base :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118063
Try Vaelpak's GB ROM: http://vaelek.com/index.php?/forum/47-vaelpak-gingerbread-aosp/?. I recently jumped into MIUI, and its very stable, contrary to what someone else said. CM7 may be the "standard," but Deck and Vaelpak are very good AOSP ROMs. Kernel-wise (for AOSP), I love the sz kernel and viperboy's uv scripts are great.
