Great job guys!

YOU of all people know this needs to be in general....come on heaven. You think we need a screen put up in development so more noobs can demand band unlock? Nay. Reported.

Now it's just a matter of making it Nub proof.

Uhh, it was posted on their Twitter last night. And this is part of development.

Ya it was posted on TWITTER! How is twitter helping development again? Oh so lookin at this pic gives me the nand unlockz! OMFG! MOAR!
Um its just a screen shot and has nothing to do with ACTUALLY GAINING NAND. So no it does not help development. Therefore it isn't development. Go back to begging for nand noob.

So wait, this isn't development? It's just a random picture taken of hboot? Because that's what your ignorant sarcasm is stating.

No its a pic of hboot unlocked. Sweet. Again id like for you to explain how this in ANYWAY helps EVERYONE else get nand unlock. Also how does it help my incredible in anyway then just lookin at the picture. IT ISN'T DEVELOPING ANYTHING! ITS A PICTURE OF PROGRESS! NOT DEVELOPMENT! PROGRESS GOES IN GENERAL ACTUALLY TOOLS OR PROCESSES FOR DEVELOPING GO HERE! Got it yet? Do you not understand the concept of actual development versus progress? Is a thread on questions about how to unroot not development related? How bout questions about why the sms scroolls slowly? Yes they are RELATED! But they aren't developing anything and they aren't helping develop anything. SO general. This falls into the same category. Easily.

They replaced the stock bootloader with a custom bootloader that doesn't lock NAND.

Good observation? It's been reported already. It'll get moved. Because like I've said... It's development PROGRESS not actual development.

About 90% of the posts here are general development-related discussion that do not progress our understanding of the hardware or software in any way.

Lmao "development progress" and "development" are the same thing. You never hear anyone say development progress, you hear development. You're creating extremely long posts making yourself look like an idiot and it's amusing.

Whether it originally belonged in "development" or "general" is now irrelevant. It has gone so off-topic it now really belongs in "trash".

1. No it's not
2. Same as before
I've just deleted 19 off topic posts in this thread. People were in an uproar last week at the lack of moderation in the Desire forums. Now that things are being cleaned up we have to spend time on silly stuff like this.
The 2 main culprits in this thread (you know who you are) are both senior members and really should know better.
It would be much appreciated if everyone did their bit to keep things in order.
Thanks.
Does anyone know if it will root a desire running stock O2 Froyo and HBoot 0.93?

[Q] [REQ] Eliminate Bump Charge

I have seen a few threads for the EVO 4G about eliminating the bump charge (100%-90% drop on disconnecting the AC), but I have not been able to find a thread for the DInc.
I am running SkyRaider 3.5 Sense w/Hydra UV Kernel on my SLCD DInc.
Any help on this subject would be appreciated. I am not sure this has been fixed yet.

I'm not here to teach people how to read. You can educate the blind if you like.
I was asking because I am running Sense and I was confused about whether or not it would be compatible.
Excuse a noob, but thanks for the flame and the information.
Try asking in the topic thats already been started.

I agree, it's annoying when someone not only asks questions in the development section (that's what the Q&A section is for) but also does so about something clearly covered on the first page.

Hey, if the guy didn't see the topic he's looking for, of doesn't know what exactly he's looking for, then thats his reason for making this thread. Don't have to bash him for not being able to find it. Geez, its Christmas, be happy.

Its cool, it happens; though you'll see threads announcing that root has been achieved on the latest OTA, and it'll be between general, Q&A, and the actual root method in the development section.
Yea thanx! i just read the EVO 3D is in the same boat if not a tad bit worst on the lockdown scale! Soooo that may be motivation enough! lmao sure wish i could help and...the least i can offer is beta testing! :/

[DEV] Working HTC touchscreen driver fix for ICS, no porting necessary

ALL CREDIT GOES TO SWM5126, I am simply bringing it to the attention of HD2 devs. Please be sure to thank SWM5126 for his work.
Found this in the Android Software Development forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332605
Hopefully this will help get ICS to us nice and quick. Knowing our device (and awesome devs!) we'll probably be running ICS before most other phones do!

Please no more ICS thread for every single new feature/fix ! Just post in the most popular ICS thread...
Argh, touchscreen worked correctly even in my test build, we don't need this.

Everything is being stickied nowadays.. irritating...
Yes this sticky is a mistake but I do find that with the work being done on various kernel these days, the kernel's threads being sticked is a good idea. Once they've all come to a mature state, it will be time to unstick them I guess...
Just trying to get the word out, I felt that this was a very big development and therefore warranted a thread, mainly for the devs. On that note, NRGZ28 felt that it was important enough to be stickied, and he's always been one of the top developers on the HD2, so I'll take his word for it
Let's keep XDA friendly and informative, as it's supposed to be
On that note, anyone been able to use this succesfuly on the HD2?

I think OP is trying to point out that the port is no longer necessary. I didn't look at the fix nor the port so I don't know what the difference is - but less change is better, right?

Android 4.0

Hi just seen a video of android 4.0 and it looks cool. Is there any ROM that has this?

I think the ignorant ones are those who are forgetting that we are all noobs and clueless at the beginning. Then they gain a little knowledge, and suddenly think they're better than everyone else. This attitude is RAMPANT on this board.

I agree. We are here to help each other no matter the level of experience.
Terepin, I am sure you'll feel a lot better if you start helping _everyone_.
@DamonZ28 and @sudkcoce:
I also agree on that, but the thread opener already has more than 100 posts. How does that fit?
on topic:
Tried the ROM in Sandvold's Thread some days ago. Working quite good so far, but needs a little more speed.

It's not matter of level of experience, but level of stupidity. People who can't/won't/are lazy to use search and read, asking questions that were answered billions of times, asking for info that is available in sticky threads and posting "this rockz/I love you/can i have your autograph?" **** deserve to burn in BAN hell.
Users which actually do require help from senior members are only few. The rest is just lazy stupid little kids and ungrateful pigs, thinking that we are obligated to help them.
BULL****!
We already lost several great developers because of them and I'll fight them until my last breath, to slow down the process of turning this place into n00b swamp. 'Cause it's happening already, you mark my words on that.

Dude chill out man, we all start somewhere, some people have much more experience than others that doesn't make them "lazy stupid little kids and ungrateful pigs"
If you have a problem with people on the forums just leave them alone. i am in no way the most experienced guy here. i cant develop new ROMS/Apps/themes or anything to be honest. i just use what other people have made. i asked questions on how to flash a new rom when i joined the forums. i read the tutorials, does that make me a " lazy stupid little kid and an ungrateful pig"?
You read tutorials, yet you asked how to flash ROM?

To be exact i messed something up and my phone was stuck in a bootloop while flashing a ROM. And guess what, someone helped me out and got it working for me! Isn't that amazing! The wonders of people HELPING others out
I get there are loads of tutorials out there, telling people exactly what to do and if something goes wrong what they should do, but if someone ask's for help, why not reply with a helpful answer rather than being a complete prick?
Edit: Ignore this. Mods delete this post.

Because those tutorials exist purely for the purpose of answering FAQ, so newbies don't have to ask them all the time. And yet, they still do. There is a word for that, and that word is spamming.

I think the biggest annoyance with this thread is that the OP is clearly aware of how to flash ROMs, and therefore I would assume where to find them. Therefore a very quick look at the dev forum would have shown them the ICS builds currently being developed - making this thread needless.
