This may not be a Tilt2 specific question .... when receiving facebook messages via SMS, is there any way to have the entire message show in SMS?
Why not just respond to them when the email notification comes in?
I have them set up as SMS, makes it easier and quicker to reply. With email, it opens up a browser to fb to respond.

I would like to develop an application which listens for incoming SMS, verify which ones are email notifications and automatically starts Activesync to retrieve emails, synchronize calendar and so on.
Is this feasible?
I have heard that you can't use the sms API as the interface is stolen by the 'phone edition' bit and you have to use the CE MAPI interface instead, working on SMS once they have been stored in the Inbox.
Any experience with this? Code bits?

SMS notifications
You can use the RIL interface to get notification of about anything to do with the GSM part. However, it is not very well documented. If you go to the URL below you'll find a small app that will display notifications for incoming SMS messages and incoming SMS status reports.
However the message part is still encoded! There are some library calls that can decode the message, but I have not yet figured it out.

hi on my today screen on my orbit it showed thst when i got a text message then it read
1 unread message
now after sampling messenger with ease on the orbit and checking my hotmail emails.
after switchign off i get the constant
13 unread hotmail messages
now how do i get rid of this notifier? i dont wish to see how much emails i have unread in fact all i wish to see is the texts on my today screen..
i just got a text and it splits the screen into two, one showing unread texts and the other emails
any ideas..
Anyone.....
not clear to me..., although you can untick the plugin in settings/today/items...
You can use this application to look for the duplicate notifications and clear them http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280104
You can also look for Notificationsclearfix, Memaid etc. to clear the double notifications.

try to search for fixunreadcount.exe in the forum
it might work for you
I've installed SMS Popup so that I get notifications when I receive text messages.
Now the issue is that I've intalled ChompSMS alongside the standard messaging app, which means that when a text message arrives, I actually get two pop up boxes: one from ChompSMS and one from the default app.
Is there any way to stop this? Can I 'assign' SMS Popup just to work for one of the messaging systems?
Cheers,
SMS Popup, like ChompSMS and the default Messaging client will only intercept incoming SMS messages once.
You need to make sure you have notifications disabled in ChompSMS AND the Default messaging client if you are using SMS Popup.
Hi xda-developers,
I've got a strange problem. As of last night I have had two problems.
First, it seems that my outgoing SMS messages are no longer saved. Well at least they aren't visible in the threaded SMS conversations and I can't find them anywhere. They do go through to the recipients, I can confirm. Also, I do get incoming SMS in the conversations just fine.
Second, it seems that Gmail is no longer syncing anything. If I go into Gmail and hit sync manually, the sync icon appears for just a couple seconds, then goes away having failed to download any new messages.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Cheers,
Paul Thompson
Hopefully this is in the right place.
Basically im wondering if, on facebook messenger, should a contacts sms and facebook messages be combined on the one page? for example, if person 'A' sms' me and then the same person facebook messages me half an hour later, should both those messages be on the same page?
at the moment im getting one page for person 'A' facebook message and one page for person 'A' sms messages.
Thanks in Advance

This looks like a general non-HOX related question about the app but yes, that is how FB messenger works on all devices.
I'd assume it's because if the messages were combined, it would be easy to make mistakes like
- Accidentally sending an sms (that have fixed costs) when trying to send a message through Facebook
or
- Sending a FB message instead of an sms to someone who isn't at reach of Internet.
etc.
