Big problem with the spl, I need seriously help with this

Currently My diamond has the olinex 1.40 unsigned hard-spl. I've to ship it back and try to flash to a stock spl. After flashing to 1.34 the original spl it still says the olinex 1.40 version is on it. What is odd is that the when I start the bat file to go to the bootloader he doesn't response to it, but it will go to the bootloader when i start the flash. I can't start manuely with spl bootloader. Because my touchscreen layer doesn't work at all i'm stuck in the screen calibrate menu. So why doesn't it says 1.34 after flashing it to 100 %.
The phone will be picked up this week but can't send it back like this.
I've read different topics complete but nobody seems to have the same problem.

Just tried stock spl 1.93 and get the same result.
O the bat file didn't work out. So I did a volume down + reset and it just gets to 100% with flashing. but it's keep saying 1.40 olinex. Is it good to do it this way, not that it help but still?
It seems that flashing the hard spl can't be done. So any tips?

Did u try with jump SPL and then flash with HardSPL 1.93 or so. Try that. It should work.

Did try it with 1.34 but will now try with 1.93.

it should work indeed but still doesn't. Before this I never had any problems with it, but again after flashing it keep saying 1.40Olinex even with the jumpspl.

you must flash this with diamond conected to pc....
you can´t flash you device fron 3 color bars
try to conect your device to pc (power up you device, and when it says to calibrate your screen conect your device to pc)

U dont need to use touch screen to go to bootloader mode.
press soft reset with stylus and press volume down button. You should be in bootloader screen.
Try flashing with hardspl again....

That's true, but the thing with it, it doesn't work to flash the spl. When I flash like that is will not chance the spl.

Is there a way to flash the spl without using the sspl-manuel.exe ?

Come on people, it will be picked up tomorow.
Is there a way to update the spl if the automatic mode doesn't work and the sspl-manuel can't be opent because i'm stuck at the press screen message. So is it posible to open the sspl without the obove options.

I have the same problem. Solution is next. Put file named welcome.not in the root directory of Diamond. This file must be clear - 0 bytes. Then softreset it. After SR you will not see calibration message. And will be able to spl your device. Good luck!

I can't do nothing! It's stuck!? omg! people help me to resolve this!? I try up a new rom but isn't work cause the phone don't connect with windows to change or execute other program, cause the phone are stuck on boot screen!

Here's what you need to do:
Hold down the "Volume Down" button and press reset with the stylus. You will enter the Boot Loader. Now plug in your USB cable connecting it to you PC. On the bottom part of the screen (phone) you'll see USB. Now your PC recognizes the phone.
Start a ROM update through the RUU executable and flash your phone with a different ROM.

i have the same problem where my phone freezes at the boot screen, where it says touch diamond and thw orange writing in the corner. It was working fine, happened all of a sudden after i soft reset it, when the phone initally froze on an incoming call
Any suggestions?

just Change your ROM..,

hard reset is somthing i dont want to do. Is there any other option?

I think not. Don't know if you have a lot of apps installed after flashing. What you could do is find a ROM that's UC2/sUC compliant. If you create a folder structure on your internal storage like this:
ROOT > Backup and Restore > CAB > CABi
Put all the cabs you want on your device in the CAB folder and all the cabs you want on internal storage in CABi folder. After flashin and initial customization you will find yourself in User Customization (UC). It will state that it found a CAB folder, choose to install. After this it will state that it found a CABi folder, install as well. This reduces the effort of installing all apps after a hard-reset. As for messages, contacts e.g. I suggest you use PPCPimBackup.

Try flashing through bootloader. Press reset with stylus while holding volume down. After you're in the bootloader plugin USB cable and start flashing.

tried and didnt work. made it worst in fact :S
startet update trough bootloader, started, updated to 13% and then I was told the update didnt work with my device (or something similar, in norwegian). tried an older update, same problem... :/
when I now boot the phone I'm directly in bootloader, and with the funny message

ooh, news, suddenly its updating moore... after 5 tries it allways stopped at 13%, but now it up to 31% and going strong... will update..
edit2: going strong up to 33%....... wow... well its a start and Im going to try some more.
edit3; 7th time the charm it seems... 100% and all I had to do was sit REALLY still. and I actually downgraded from 2.03 to 1.93 or something... should note that on this point I have tried flashing it with the original 2.03 and 1.93 every other time...
edit4; aaaaand we're back at the TOUCH Diamond screen.
edit5; aaaand after a failed flash to wm 6.5 (stopped/didnt start at 0%)... the phone started... This MIGHT be a clue that I should NOT try to get wm6.5 to run... but that wont stop me
I dont know if anyone else will have the same problems, but atleast this was my way to the resolution

Before you try to flash anything other then a stock ROM, I suggest you take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
You need to have Hard-SPL flashed before flashing any custom ROM. My advice would be to use this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=93362&d=1213719705

On My New Diamond having 1.37 Asian HTC ROM i Flashed 1.93 Asian HTC ROM. It flashed successfully then after installing some programs i have done the soft reset after that It hangs on Operator (Airtel) Logo and my phone doesn't start. I have not installed
any Hard SPL.
I have done Vol.Down + Softreset button but nothing appears on screen.
I tried to Hard Reset but nothing Happens
plz plz help me

Did you hold the volume down button while pressing reset? After pressing reset you should keep holding the volume down button until the tri-color bootscreen appears.

HTC Diamond bricked?

i have flashed my diamond with the official htc rom
im on 1.40 olinex, now i can only access boot mode.
sometimes if i leave the phone without a battery for like 2 hours, when i turn it on i see the "touch diamond" logo, if i leave the battery for a whole day i see the windows mobile loading screen, but then suddenly the phone turns off
plz if you have any idea about this problem help me

If you can acces bootloader, then your diamond isn't bricked.
Try the unsigned version of olinex' hard-SPL and flash the ROM again.

how can i flash the unsigned 1.40 olinex one?

Here is a link to the unsigned hard-spl.
Make sure you download "Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip".
Follow the instructions:
1) Download, extract to an empty folder.
2) Run RomUpdateUtility.exe, Have Phone Synced with PC (go into bootloader, connect your cable, then the word "serial" in bootloader will change into "USB".
3) follow steps, check device for prompts after PC shows loading bar. it should go to black screen now.
4) SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
5) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (volume down + reset, i.e. press volume down button and reset then keep holding the volume down key until you see tricolour screen) and verify the screen shows 1.40.OliNex.
note: you will not see the SPL version during normal boot, that is the OS version, not SPL!
Installing this will hard-reset your device.

Hi
If you can access the bootloader then your device is not bricked. Therefore download a rom of your choice then connect to the usb when on the bootloader then use a Diamond custom RUU (normally come with the rom) follow the steps. After rom updated make a hard reset. I hope it will run ok.
Looks your symtons are showing like your rom corrupted.

Perhaps try a custom rom?
I found when flashing to an official rom from a different provider (my phones telstra and was flashing 3) I had issues with the rom booting and had to follow a post on here somewhere to get it working, however When I had this problem I could still flash any custom rom with no issues.
Unless its for warrenty purposes then its probably not worth flashing the "original" perhaps flash A.Z.T.O.R. = Alpha Zero Tweaked Official Roms which are close to the original but with benifits of being modded for faster speed etc.
Anyways Im no pro but I know what you are going through and I am trying to find the link to the fix to your problem as I also had the problem. But recommend trying a custom rom to confirm the problem is the same as mine.
For the record now I do not use official roms anymore, with WM6.5 running well for the most part on the diamond its a great step backwards when you revisited 6.1

If you haven't done yet, flash the hard-spl I posted. Just do it, re-instal the hard-spl! Then, flash another ROM, maybe (as said before) your rom is corrupted.
The problem here is, that you first installed the unsigned hard-spl, and then flashed a corrupt rom. In that way, the hard-spl can be damaged too, so flash the hard-spl again and flash another rom should work.

Okay try a hard-reset, maybe that works.
If not, then flash hard-spl again, then hard-reset, then flash another ROM. Then hard reset. Then try again if it boots.
Is your battery enough charged? That could also be a reason.

If none of the tips worked, and you have the same problems as described in the site you linked, then you probably have to send it back.
One thing you could do: Try if the other hard-spls (1.37 and 1.93 unsigned) are working for you.
I'm sorry for you, maybe someone more skilled than me (like cmonex or olipro) knows how to solve your problem.

I just flash my Artemis with wm6.5 lite made by thormdac, and it does not start, is stuck when WM is loading, I can not connect it to computer, what can I do? Can I make it longer work? I will post some pic with it.

2. First boot after flash is normaly taking much longer dan a normal boot, ingore all noises (beep) till the screencalibration is visible and input is required,
3. How did you flash, did you remove correctly your microsd card before the flashing/update?
4. Did you use USPL to unlock the current rom first?

If dont work your phone after the steps what Twiggerdingo wrote, you can enter to boot loader with voice + power button (use them at the same time when your phone is off) and connect to PC and flash the latest official rom. After that, flash the uspl and you can flash thormdac's rom.

I've got a little problem :/ few flashes ago i started experiencing problems with my diamond. some times when it freezes and i reboot it it was restoring itself to defaults. now i installed new radio and new rom. it was ok for 3 days. now it only boot itself to screen where it says "touch diamond" and numbers about rom. my pc don't see my phone, vol. down + reboot dont work :/ help pls

try to enter into bootloader mode and flash a new rom

Might be a problem with your radio. Can you provide more details about your unit, ie:
What version is your SPL/HardSPL?
What version is your radio?
What ROM are you using (OS, etc)?

Did you try to remove the battery for a lot of time?

I also had this problem, and i have two solutions, maybe can help you :
1. On your phone: simultaneously press the volume down and reset to get into boot mode.
Once you have managed this, follow the instructions on the screen of your computers with installation of rom.
2. Possibly you do not succeed the first step, obtain a version of HardSPL Diamond, .nbh or ROMUpdateUtility.exe, and running, with the phone connected to PC and in mod boot loader.
IMPORTANT I recommend :
" Try to get HardSPL-1.24 " , ( versions of HardSPL which are in atachament I have not ever installed on the my HTC Touch Diamond, because already have the HardSPL-1.24 on my phone )

THX!! i reinstalled my hardspl to 1.30 and then i was able to reinstall my rom ^^ and it works

use MTTY then flash the Hard SPL 1.40 then flash the rom you want

Yep random soft/hard resetting is a sympton of MTTY necessity!
