Honestly, I'm not familiar with the CLIQ bootanimations.
Is your CLIQ rooted? That could be an issue also.

What does your boot look like now?
Do you have a root file explorer?
You could try putting this on your sdcard and manually moving it to data\loacal to see if it works.

Bootanimation for CM5.
"Cyanogen6" boot animation.
Took awhile to make this one, definitely one of my favorites and my new permanent boot.
The whole thing doesn't loop, loop starts at pulsating Cyanogen logo.
1. Download bootanimation.zip
2. Put it on your sdcard
3. open terminal enter these commands:
su
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
reboot
4. Enjoy

Not sure about N1 or Desire.
G1 (Dream) - Yes.
Might work with the N1, but it was made specifically for the G1.
I don't know if the resolution would need to be adjusted for the N1.
Sorry.

G1 is 320*480 and nexus is 800*480. As the animation is now it will work, just that 60% of the screen will be empty pixels.
The animation looks great, will be installing.

Then I wouldn't recommend putting on the N1 lol.
The pieces will just drop out of mid-air instead.

I would love to see this over on the n1. Full port

Wow it looks completely amazing on the phone =p You rock 666! (sorry lol faster then writing your full name)

I would do it for the N1, but I'm still confused by the resolution.
G1 is 320x480 for 1 screen
320 = width
480 = height
N1 is 800x480?
No way that can be correct.
I need single screen size, not wallpaper size.
G1 wallpaper is 640x480

Nexus/Desire/incredible/evo/galaxy s are 800 height 480 width (WVGA), and the droid/x10i/x are 854by480
Don't forget that all the phone's I just listed have gargantuan 3.7 to 4.3 inch displays compared to the measly 3.2 on the G1.
Yeah, one more time I gotta say that I love your work. Keep it up!
I believe wallpapers for the nexus are sized 960*800

I will have to re-do the whole thing for the N1.
This one took me about 5 hours, but I ended up cutting the images down from 480 to 253 to make the .zip smaller so it should only take about 2-3 hours.
It's 3:25 a.m. now, so this will have to wait until mid-week.

Seeing as how we can't currently add wallpapers beneath the tiles, I figured we could at least get some going for the lock screen. I'll start off with a few right now, but plan to add a lot more. Right-click and "Save Image As..." on the wallpapers you want. You can find many of these wallpapers over at deviantArt.com. Enjoy.

Saw some very good ones here that I might use.
Very nice!!! Thanks
I'm working on a few myself. I'm just modifying a few I have to fit WP7 screen.

So i tried The Froyo Vanilla Fascinate rom too.... And it worked!
It is a little more stable than the miui rom, but still verrryyy finiky! hopefully this means that someone can fiddle with this rom and get it working at least 90% for us! <3333
I can honestly say that my settings menu has told me I'm running 2.2.1
Idk why, but I had the urge to try the latest miui rom for the fascinate....
And, guess what?
It kinda worked xP due to the ticker, the screen calibration is off... Like, badly.. And there are fc's every five seconds...
But, it's a good start, right?
I wouldn't suggest anyone testing it, is very unstable...
Maybe a dev could help do a little porting , and we'll be good!
That's pretty cool. I just want froyo and to be able to over clock.
Sent from my SCH-I400 using Tapatalk
miui is apparently very difficult to port...its possible that when its up and running right that someone could help port it to the continuum...but that would probably require jamezelle or someone getting a continuum as its hard enough with the phone in front of him to do it
Yeah..

I would think that the only thing you'd really need to take advantage of the AOSP rom, at least most of it would be a working kernel. You may loose ticker functionality, but you should be able to get the rest of it working, should being the key word.
Sweet!
Now lets hope we get a working kernel up and going soon Then we all shall be set!
One Problem i have noticed though:
The softkeys on the continuum are part of the screen... and on top of where the softkeys usually are is a gray cover...
How hard would it be to put the softkeys up there where they are supposed to be?
Also, the ticker space makes things all messed up with the touch mapping.. That could be just dead space for now, and just shrink the screen size, if that would work

Nope
smaller screen=Better pixel density
and, the smaller screen just looks better in general imo
Without the ticker, it would essentially be a Fascinate with a smaller screen. However, I would think that if you got the apk's that are needed for the ticker to work, and also had a working 2.2 kernel, you could put both with the AOSP rom and have a mostly functional version of AOSP for the Continuum. Given how similar the two devices are, it seems that it would be easy to get things working between the two. Then again, it is Samsung coding, so anything is possible.

Based on the physical sizes listed at Phone Arena, the Continuum is slightly narrower and is also thicker than the Fascinate.
Continuum: 125 x 58 x 12 mm

How about 1200 x 720 resolution on your Epic 4G Touch? [Video]

I posted a video showing how to increase display resolution on Galaxy S II. I'm running at 1200 x 720 and looks great. I did it on my T-mobile SGSII, but I would think that it would work the same way on the Epic 4G Touch.

There are a issues with a few stock apps, so make sure to watch the whole thing if you can, as I demonstrate everything I've run into so far.
p.s. For rooted phones only and even though process is ultra simple, don't hold me responsible if you mess up your phone

Super cool, however the only reason I'd do this is for my phone to be even super sexy-er. However, due to the broken apps/stock dialer looking odd + applications drawer comes out very odd, this just makes my phone feel crappy.
Thanks for the great find though, still looking for one that does everything right.

Fair enough, although issues are very minor and most people I know don't use stock launcher and even get rid of touchwiz entirely..
Lcd resolution is cool but its not worth it for me because of the stock apps that look tiny. It would be cool if someone made a rom that scaled the stock apps when using lcd resolution.
Someone needs to create a ROM with TouchWiz 720p from the Galaxy Note and include LCD Resolution.
That would be amazing.
160 dpi FTW!
So far I'm liking it. The email app is a little funky. Changing font size helped but the email app's homepage is still funky. Anyone know where to fix font size in that APK? I could not find it.
I'm using the 1200x720 with Launcherpro. Some widget placement and sizing is a little weird, seen that before on other phones when you play with density. For the most part, works great.

My friend, this video is clearly not for you. I'm not teaching how to do it, I'm showing what it looks like and why you might want to do it and why not. This video is also for people who haven't bought the SGS2 yet and are on the fence because 800x480 on a 4.5" display for many isn't good enough. Also for those who haven't rooted yet and can't try it for themselves. I apologize if I've wasted your time.

Will running at a lower dpi than 720p fix some of the alignment issues?
Is everything easily reversible?
[email protected] spongebob.... good finding.. thanks for the video. I gotta try it out.
tried it, seems to work. tho i'm thinking it just scales down 1200x720 down to LCD's stock 800x480 for displaying on phone's LCD, effectively missing the whole point of 720p. of course, that's a hardware limitation so we can't get around that
the real trick comes in when you're using it over HDMI, which i tested and it does work well. one thing i wasnt able to tell was whether my monitor shows the 1200x720 scaled down to stock 800x480 and then upscaled to 1080i image or whether it was showing the actual 1200x720 scaled up to 1080i image. if its the 2nd then i would LOVE someone to write an app/kernel that changes dpi to make phone's UI be 1920x1080 streamed pixes-for-pixel to a 1080p tv when using HDMI and then when i'm back to normal it would revert dpi to show the normal 800x480. *true* 1080p ui over HDMI + bluetooth mouse/keyboard support = ultimate portable device!
edit: taking screenshots at both stock and various resolutions produce 800x480 PNG... so yep, seems like it just scales down high resolution down to stock
OMG!! Allen K Thanks for the info... I fix the APPs that had an issue witht hat resolution now im rocking 1200x720 everything looks amazing. I dont really think I can go back to stock

yeah, theres no way to actually change the real resolution to anything higher than native res. its hardware based.. the only way to get a higher res panel, would be well..to put a higher res panel in it. Software cant add pixels to hadrware.

Absolutely!
Step one: check out this .pdf file made by JaeKarr99. This guy makes some sick boot animations for the galaxy nexus (on RootzWiki). It also always helps to download one that works on your device to copy from.
Step two: not sure you need a step two. If you have any questions not covered in JaeKarr99's tutorial feel free to post here and I'll help you out. I've made a couple boot animations for the N7, the Galaxy Nexus, and even the HTC Incredible back in the day.
For the Bengals boot animation in particular I really only used two programs. GIMP to edit photos and Faststone image viewer to resize/rename/etc. the beautiful thing about these programs? they're awesome and they're free!!!! Other free kick ass programs that are essential are 7zip to create the zip file since Windows screws that up and notepad++ to edit the desc.txt file since again, the Windows programs screw that up as well.
I first started with the N7 full up resolution size in GIMP to edit my photos (1280 X 800) and built my images by hand (OK, full disclosure: I set my files to be 1288 x 808 because another boot animation I was using that worked used that resolution. It should work if you do 1280 x 800 though as long as the desc.txt file calls out the correct resolution - see JaeKarr's tutorial). After I had my full resolution images I resized them all to be smaller to save file size (batch operation in Faststone). In general, I try to keep my boot animations under 10 MB. My goal is 5 MB but I've made some that I really want to keep a high resolution so I'll accept a larger file size in that case (20 MB in one case). Please note though, if the file size gets too big it will either run like crap or won't run at all.
It took a lot of time to edit all the photos so some patience is required. This is why I'm not jumping at the chance to make ones by request. It seriously took me a few hours to make all the individual images. And in the end, I was pumped and my wife was unimpressed she just doesn't get it. (note: there are a ton of scripts out there for GIMP to do various things. do a search and see what you can find before you try to do something manually when you may not have to).
I think this should help you out. Like I said, if you have any questions once you get going I'll try to help you. I dig the whole "give a man a fish/teach a man to fish" thing.

Yeah, I bet the Steelers will be fine though, battling it out for the playoffs.
We're having our fair share of secondary problems too. Injuries.

Hey, I almost forgot. Over on Rootzwiki a phenomenal boot animation creater made some for all the NFL teams. This guy is good, here is a link to his NFL boot animations. There is a Packers on there but I'm not sure how it looks. Based on the rest of his work I'd say it's probably pretty good. Let me know what you think.
He made his for the Galaxy Nexus, but they should work fine on the N7 as well.
Man if you made a Dallas Cowboys one, I'd love you forever lol

Nexus 4 Backplate Background

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love the pattern found on back of the device ---- so I made a background out of it.
I made it from scratch based on macros I've seen floating around (so yes, it has the angled pattern). Once I get the device, I'll be sure to make an updated one that makes the pattern the exact same size as the dots on the back. :good:
Desktop background:

Just dots:
If you need it even larger, just let me know.

And then this dude (olearyp) is making a live wallpaper:

Great Job
This is awesome! Rockin' it on my GNex until the N4 is in my hands! It'll make for a really cool effect with the matching screen and back glass pattern. :good::good::good:
Pretty Good work out there
I thought you will make one working on different angles
Seriously, good work.

1920x1080? Thanks a trillion!
It would be freaking amazing if you did a live wp that responded to the accelerometer and gyroscope so when you moved your phone, it would look like the back of the N4.

I was thinking the same thing. It won't be long before somebody makes one.

Current res works fine, at least that's what I'm using on my 1080p dispays. Either way, I added one for you.:good:
The link for the 1080P is actually smaller than the other attachment.
Would it be at all possible to request a 1080p background, without the lines on the dots?

That's because the other one is 2560x1600.

Check OP!
Also just realized that XDA shrunk the images down like hell. They're up at full res now.
Proof-of-concept live wallpaper source code: https://github.com/pao/n4lwp
Needs me to do math next, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Brilliant, Thank you.:good:
Great work!
It would be even better if the word "Nexus" was written in the center of it.
Wow. Absolutely amazing work!
Great!
There's actually a Nexus 4 dot backplate-based live Wallpaper on the market, by Wasabi, if you're interested:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidwasabi.livewallpaper.nexusdot
This is a brilliant idea! If this could really get transformed into a live wallpaper that reacts to the tilt angle, it would be more than perfect.
Wallpaper from market is pretty meh imho...

Yeah, the points glow/get dark randomly without moving the phone which hasn't much sense. It'd be AWESOME if it changed the pattern when moving the phone.. and if it used the light sensor to change the pattern I'd pay for that one.
