Too HOT TO HANDLE...Splash Artwork for Black

Hi Guys and Gals,
I have received comments that people dont really like the HTC splash screen as below:

I myself am into branding, hence why I have stuck with the black trend.
Now I call upon people to submit original artwork for a NEW HTC splash. After about a week of posts and submission, I will call a poll to determine which is the most popular.
Here are the specifications for the submissions:
File Type: BMP File
Resolution: 24bit
Size in pixels: 240x320
Ok, the only thing I request is we can keep submissions aligned with the BLACK theme, and the mysterious nature and attitude of the ROM. It can range from anything evil to anything sexual, I dont care!

hehehehe, add a dash of cointreau...called a "snakebite"...have downed many many of em, as for the bootlogo the one you have is great

i personally like the current spawn one.. who's been complaining? they're probably old people.

haha with all these people voting to keep the spawn logo, I wonder who were the ones that were opposed to it.. It's funny, I imagine that the majority of people who liked the spawn splash didn't bother to say, HEY, i like that spawn splash.. whereas all the ones who didn't (however FEW i imagine there are) probably were loud and clear.

I am a Black lover too.

Stuff them if they complain don't let them download it, the Spawn one looks great and I'm more than happy with it, and I'm more than happy to leave the decision to make the boot screen anything you want.

It seems to be that most of us are quite pleased with Spawn!! I too think that it fits in perfectly with the Black theme. Just my 4 cents worth.....(inflation sucks,eh?)

[Theme] *** FLUX *** wip

This is my first try at a theme... Made some icons myself, others grabbed from various sites, but the whole undertaking is a bit more than I expected, so I'll be at it for a while...
So please offer your best or worst criticism... I can take it... OH Yeh, the clock hands are not like that for real, I was too tired to sign the last update It'll be fixed in the next post with some other screen shots

Nice! I really like it. The artwork around the clock is part of the bg or part of the clock itself? Cuz I often thought that someone should do something like that. Nice start tho : D

nice icons i used them on one of of my earlier themes... lookin good, thought of doing that to tha clock 2... glad to see ideas come to life

That's part of the clock... I may change the background though, this is just a first draft...

Nice work! Don't give up....I'm working on my first theme.... there's a lot more than I expected....but when I release it will be worth it! Keep up the good work man!
Aim=dead2hill <--- be my theme teammate lol, seriously....... I think it would be cool to have teams one could work on half and the other the other half....would push out themes faster and quicker updates...... I really don't know what I'm talking about...just a tad bored.....lol

Yeh bro, I can use all the help I can get... I'm working with .PNGs though, Do they seem a bit rough aroung the edges?
Paint.NET has a very powerful editor that allows you to edit individual pixels... Not sure if that's a big deal for you guys but that blew me away, haven't used anything like it before.

I like it! specially that clock (like everyone else)
Only drawback would be the color around the upper right digital clock, it's my personal pet peeve with some of the themes, when I'm doing something and want to check the time, a dark back ground on black text makes it hard.

[req][panel] can someone help make a pip-boy (fallout 3) panel?

I stumbled onto this article today and thought what a fantastic panel this would make. If someone with some panel making experience thinks that they could construct such a panel I will start gathering any graphics, sounds, or any other materials determined to be required for its creation.
If the Storm and the Iphone can do it so can the X1!
I hope there are some users on here who think this is as good an idea as I do, if so bump this thread and hopefully we can all soon be walking around with our very own pip-boy 3000's... erm X1's!

i have seen this on the iphone, its just a theme looks ok but looks better in pics than on the iphone itself as some stuff have not got icons for, so some software are using the theme and some are not.

Yeah I heard that the Iphone version was mostly just for the pretty and not terribly functional. But that's pretty much the Iphone in a nutshell.

Ok, Ive got the SDK and am in the process of acquiring MS visual studio (legally of course) I'm willing to take a stab @ learning how this is done and I have some material to read through, but if Ethermind or anyone else has any additional resources that they think I should be reading to get me on the right track here It would help me out a lot as this is a fairly new frontier for me. I very much want to make this panel happen but can use all the help I can get.

Hardly, I have no panel making experience whatsoever. I'm doing a lot of reading right now and I think I'll be able to pull out something, but it won't be quick.
In the meantime if people could let me know what kind of features or what you'd like this panel to link to i.e. SMS, E-mail, ect. It would be helpful.

If you're serious about making this, send me a pm once you get things rolling. I worked on the original Fallout games and might be able to help you out with some pipboy artwork.

i haven't searched yet.. but do you know if there's a copy of the one gtrab used on his FIRST barebone release.... it was like the gree original 6.1 welcomehead but instead it was BLACK and said SEX1 windows mobile prof 6.5 looked waaaaaaaay better than the annoying blinding oragne one that i've got now... ?

Salenkova, if you use that size, you will never get landscape mode when booting up, why do you think the original welcomehead image and SE wallpapers for the xperia are 800x800?????

Replace the sony ericsson panel images in the Program Files/Panels/SonyEricssonPanel/images folder
NOTE THAT THESE IMAGES CORRESPOND WITH THE NAMES OF THE CURRENT PANEL IMAGES...e.g. black, silver, and so on

im pretty sure giant pic posts like this was what made XDA take a crap about a month ago... it'd be SOOOOO much better if you could just post ONE image as a prievew and the rest in a .zip... not everyone is on SUPER HIGH SPEED INTERNET!

Nexus 4 Backplate Background

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love the pattern found on back of the device ---- so I made a background out of it. :laugh:
I made it from scratch based on macros I've seen floating around (so yes, it has the angled pattern). Once I get the device, I'll be sure to make an updated one that makes the pattern the exact same size as the dots on the back. :good:

It would be freaking amazing if you did a live wp that responded to the accelerometer and gyroscope so when you moved your phone, it would look like the back of the N4.

Current res works fine, at least that's what I'm using on my 1080p dispays. Either way, I added one for you.:good:

The link for the 1080P is actually smaller than the other attachment.

Would it be at all possible to request a 1080p background, without the lines on the dots?

Yeah, the points glow/get dark randomly without moving the phone which hasn't much sense. It'd be AWESOME if it changed the pattern when moving the phone.. and if it used the light sensor to change the pattern I'd pay for that one.
