I am sure one has a solution that has to work for you
I rooted and installed the leaked OTA. After hearing about the possible 2.2 I tried to downgrade the radio. Something messed up along the way and now I'm stuck with an incredible that is showing no internal memory (won't even let me save a picture), will not read an SD card and keeps rebooting when I remove the usb cable. I'm stuck in a real hard place. If anyone can assist me in restoring my phone and how to go about it, it would be appreciated. Also it is now showing my phone as an unknown device when I connect to the pc and I can not get into adb.
Can you reboot into recovery? (power off, then hold volume down while powering back on) then select recovery?
If you can get into clockworkmod recovery, we can get you back up and running.
do a hard reset. if that doesnt work, take it back to vzw and make up a story on how it got the way it is.
TIP: i dont think you can downgrade the radio.

I started following this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeuiURZZZds and after trying to run 'flash_image misc mtd0.img', it said I did not have enough memory so I just unplugged the phone and tried to reboot, but it brought me to the recovery console and it's the stock one. So the stock img was able to install. I don't even have clockwork now. I should have left it alone. I have a constant sd card icon with a ?.
just hard reset or ruu . if this doesnt work, then i think you bricked your radoio. do you have 3g?

Jd is right. Just ruu back to the leaked ota. If you can get to stock recovery you should be able to ruu. Once your back up and running we might be able to help you downgrade. First things first.
Just tried the hard reset it was a no go. I have 3G service and I made some calls to make sure it worked. After the hard reset it is still showing the sd card icon with ?. For the RUU do I need any drivers because the phone is showing up now as an unknown device.
Just give it a shot.
ruu is the way to go. your problem is more sever than hard reset fixijg.

P.s. If you follow the downgrade tutorial by "IncredibleDoes" you can use an sdcard adapter and put the card into your pc (since your phone usb drivers aren't working), copy the "pb31img" file over, then reboot back into hboot, and it will put you right back to the original stock in one step.
If you have a card reader on your pc, turn the phone off, put the card in the pc and make sure it's formatted properly. Then put the ruu file on the card. (Follow the instructions in the unroot sticky topic.) Then put card back in phone and boot into stock recovery. It should apply the update.

hows the ruu going?

I'm still trying. It's not looking good. Hboot is still version .79 after I flashed the stock img. I'm probably going to have to call it a night for now though. I'll be back tomorrow to trouble shoot it some more. I'll write more after I try it again. Thanks for the help tonight!
of you need additional help feel free to pm me anytime.

Hboot is NOT going to downgrade....no matter what you do. The stock (pre-ota) rom will run fine with the newer hboot version.

Yes it will downgrade, as the ota leak is a newer version of .79. that is, if you follow the procedure right.
Also, yes you can downgrade the radio, in response to an earlier post.
If you got out of memory type messages running through that method, then you did it wrong. Maybe you tried it outside of clockwork? I haven't watched the video to do it, but seeing how I made the original post for it, I know it works.
Interesting! I wasn't aware of that breakthrough (hboot downgrade).
In that case, I suggest ruu'ing back to the leaked OTA (so that your USB and SD are both working again), then try following the instructions that adrynalyne referenced.
Good Luck.

I ruu'ed the img. The phone starts up and works normally. Except it still shows the internal and SD card memory as unavailable and the usb restarting after removing the cable. I tried to reload the leaked OTA through recovery, but it gets an error saying the file is not on the SD card.

What state is your phone currently in? Please try to make as much sense as possible so we can help you. Can you boot the unrooted rom? What does your hboot say? Can you get into recovery? What rooting method did you try?

First off, do NOT send it in to Sprint. That is very important. Do the following:
First, before doing anything else, connect your phone to your PC and enable disk drive. Wait a couple minutes now (I usually have about a 45-second wait before Windows registers the fact that there's a removable storage device detected) and see if you still aren't having your device show up.
Make sure you have a reasonably charged battery before doing this, since it can't charge during these steps.
Boot your phone into HBOOT (turn off, then hold Power and Vol-Down until the screen turns on.) Post here what the text in green at the top says.
Next, try to load recovery. Post which recovery you have (if there's no text and just an image then you're using the stock recovery). If you're on anything but stock, reboot your phone now. If you're on stock, pull the battery.
Finally, as well as what method you used to root, what did you do to UNroot?
So i was on my to school to take a quiz and which i wanted to switch to the ICS ROM tiad from the released CM 7.2 RC1 , as it was doing its thing, the system froze on me in the middle of the android-secure telling me it could not mount the SD card..
The only thing i could do was to reboot the phone.. well that did it i think.. (started my issue)
Now my phone only boots into the ICS ROM and its all waked with missing apps etc.. so i go back to recovery to retry this,, where i see the sd card cant be mounted... and not to mention the securtiy NOW SAYS S-ON!
WTFD!!!! how did this happen?
well now im stuck with a phone that works but NO SD CARD NO RECOVERY and UNROOTED? ????
i tried formatting the sdcard.. but it dosent see it,, i tried clearing back to factory defaults.. tried to remount to the computer as a disk drive but it wont work because problalby of the sd card..
man im at a loss.. i dont get it.. it has worked flawless with everything i have ever done..
is there anyway to get back my sd card so i can bring this phone back to the way it was?
the computer wont even see it.. so i cant use the unrevoked3..
im scared to take this phone to sprint since it has s-on .. but it has a later radio etc.. (not to mention its starting in the ICS rom)
any ideas?
im thinking of taking the sdcard and formating it on my gfs samsung galaxy.. ...would that work?
Have you tried to mount and unmount and mount SD from settings? Or try booting without SD just to see what happens. Then boot with SD?
Your recovery can't mount SD?

Ya nothing,, i checked everything i can think off.. what im trying to do is connect to the phone via usb.. hboot. fastboot... using the adb shell.
The problem is nothing will see it..
When the phone boots my computer thinks its a QualComm CDMA Technologies MSM .. so nothing will see it.. the only time i can see it correctly is when i have it in the hboot USB plug.
The security (S-ON) is on now.. which is really crazy to me.. i dont understand why it would come back on like that.
Its like the phone finally saw that i was flashing roms and it decided to turn security back on and unmount the sdcard so now i cant mount it back in.
Its like i got locked out.. so now i have to try to find that driver for qualcomm maybe i could use the adb shell and unblock the sdcard. if infact this is the issue..
the wierd is i can get into the clockworkmod 5.0.2.2 recovery so i could reflash everything but if only the sdcard was mountable.. LOL
i really hope its the memory card.. i could finally stop going crazy here..
the other thing is when i sometimes reboot it vibrates 4 times in sequence.. .what does that mean?
its like the beeps you would hear from the BIOS of a computer when there is memmory missing.
maybe thats what its telling me there is no Sdcard lol
oh man .. time to smoke a bowl.. i need to unstress....
BTW my phone is on all the latest radios etc...
so i cant downgrade to a lower hboot when its at 2.16
Did u put the card in a card reader and format it, then get a pcimg36.img and flash back to stock everything then reroot

No, thats the last thing i can try .. im waiting for the gf to come home so i can format the sdcard with her phone
Ive actualy had this happen myself before, not the s-on issue but the recovery not being able to recognize the sd, telling me it couldnt be mounted etc. Your recovery got corrupted I think. basically what your gonna have to do is this:
1 Run the gingerbread ruu for 2.3.3 assuming thats what stock firmware you had? I think I saw you say you have 2.16 hboot which should work fine with this ruu. your gonna lose everything except whats on the sd card. and It'll set it back to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884060
2. use revolutionary to re root your phone, let it flash cwm and all that jazz, then download the supersuser.zip and flash that through recovery and update superuser in the market. http://revolutionary.io/ http://androidsu.com/superuser/
3. flash amon ra recovery for the htc evo 4g. flash through the bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705026
4. delete your nandroids and backup a new fresh one.
Its alot of work and it sucks that you have to do this but this is how I fixed any of my issues ive ever had. just dont flash the 2.3.5 ruu vuz revolutionary wont work on that firmware and you'd have to use a different method of unlocking and rooting etc.
WOOT IM BACK AND RUNNING!
Thank you for that.. for a min there i was ready to loose it because i thought the phone was brikked....
I new not to blow a gasket and just wait for someone to post
Awesome. Glad to see ya got it. XDA is is truly the best country in the world.
