Please help me with MDAII german ver. of ROM upgrade!

Iv just upgraded the ROM ver. 1.60.00WWE to 1.72.01GER and then I understend that my translator to Russion version wont work with German ver. but i dont no how to change back the operetion or where I can find WWE version PLEASE HELP !!!

You have to look at the O2 or t-mobil-site of GreatBritain for example, where the standard updates will be for free, I guess. That's the way in Germany. t-mobil and O2 both have the update for 1.72-version for everybody for free on their websites.
Or you do the best way and take the translated version of the chinese actual 2.20, which you can find on this website. I use the version 2.20.t1 WWE. It is english and you have the WM 2003 Second Edition with all the good features.

Changing Language (norwegian)

Hi! Yesterday i bought my first HTC Touch Diamond P3700. I have never used any HTC cell phone. My problem. I live in Norway and this phone is in norwegian, but i want it to change to english. If I checked the ROM update, then it gives me only norwegian version. I'm thankful then somebody help me a little.

You have to update the rom to a WWE (world wide english) ROM. But you can change the language of the Manilla.

Thank you for answering. Can You tell me little more about it, what can i use or add any useful links. Because if i add my serial number to htc.com support, it gives me automatically norwegian version.

I read some threads, and the latest WEE official version was corrupt or somthing.
There are some Official Roms you can flash, though, i dont know if they are fast or not. I'm a Raphael user (Touch Pro). but read in the Diamond Rom development for good rooms.

If your are willing to "brake the warrenty" you could allways flash a coustom rom. And flash back to a origianal rom if you are sending it to service for a hw problem.

How to upgrade to another language

Hi people,
I have the possibility to buy this phone, but a French model. As I would buy this phone for my father, I would like to set the language of the phone in Dutch. I've seen there are custom roms available, but my question is, is it also possible to put an original Dutch rom on a French htc touch diamond? I've searched a lot onto this topic, but the information I got is very confusing. If yes, where can I download the original Dutch rom? On the site of HTC? Can I give a serial of a French model to download the Dutch one?
I would be very pleased if someone could give me a clear answer.

[Q] / [REQUEST] CIME for Desire from ASIA RUU

Hi,
I'm an English Speaker from the UK. I would like to have my locale set for the phone to English (UK) but as I live in China, I really want to have the handwriting IME for the Desire.
It's included by default in the Asia RUU but that doesn't have UK English included.
Since I flashed the Asia RUU I'm having all sorts of problems with the Android market and I'm convinced its because of that.
I am looking for a kindly chef / experienced person to extract the CIME (handwriting) from the Asia RUU and give me an update.zip file so I can plug it into my WWE RUU flashed version.

why don't you try out LeeDroid??
It's got all Chinese input methods activated.
*BTW* I think It would help if you posted your software version to make dev's life much easier

[Q] Language Problem

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice. On Saturday i purchased a used white Desire. This is not the first Desire...or Android handset ive owned and i have never come across this issue before......anyway today i accepted the OTA update and all went as planned. I then rooted the handset and after was looking in settings and went into language and Keyboard.....i noticed the language was set to English (Poland) so i went in to change to English UK and the the only English languages listed are all Eastern European variants ( Latvian Estonian Czech etc). i Then decided to try a rooted update zip of the latest WWE rom and still no English UK language available. Any body got any ideas ?
my phone info is :

build No : 2.29.405.2 CL263770 relaese-keys
any help greatly appreciated.

Just out of interest i have just tried to flash the signed 2.29 wwe RUU with a gldcard inserted and.......still cannot get to select English UK langauge.......any ideas at all from anyone.
