So my gmail used to update pretty frequently but the past couple of days has not been update at all unless i do it manually, anybody know why?

Anyone having a problem getting your facebook to sync? It was working at first but I removed it from the sync menu and re-added it and now all I get is connection errors. Searched on google for it but everybody that is having the problem can't get it back working.
Edit: I've tried reflashing, going back to stock, but I think it has something to do with the app and the facebook server?
Yeah its a problem with HTC they say that they are working on it as we speak but its been a few days now.

Glad I found this thread. I switched back to an espresso rom specifically to get facebook for mytouch back.
Mine connects fine, and mine shows my friend's albums in the gallery, but it shows that I have no friends when I try to link them up in the contacts.
**EDIT: Seems to be working again.

Mine isn't working either...I thought it was just mine...all my facebook stuff works except on friend stream..the twitter works but the facebook force closes

Actually out of every ROM I tried of Cyanogen n Villain, i dont seem to get the push feature for facebook on my phone. Though the origional app doesnt show that it supports it but on the market, in the recent changes of the app they have included push. I have the latest facebook app update installed.
In the settings, refresh interval matters. I tried on Cyanogen Mod 6.0 , 6.1. and even 7.0
But on my friend's nexus one, no matter what we set the interval, it gives him push notifications, even of wallposts. He told me that I should be getting them too but idk why Im not getting them, he even gets push for twitter, says my ROMs G2 should do that as he is using the same ROM on his nexus one. Why the hell he can get it and I cant even though they say its a feature on it
Please help me with this

Have you got Background Data enabled? I only get push notifications from the Facebook app with it enabled.

Just because the Market says there's push doesn't mean it works for all devices; I have push set up but pretty rarely get them in a timly fashion. I've tried contacting the devs but their email address is fake, instead I opted to give them a crap rating and post my issues in the Market. Eventually, they may fix things

Go SMS has always been my SMS and MMS app of choice, and it always worked flawlessly for me; that is until I began using Jelly Bean ROMs. For the most part, it still works, but there has been one REALLY annoying issue that I can't seem to figure out. No matter what notification ringtone I set for a particular contact, that's not the one that plays when I do a test notification or when that person texts me. Is this an issue with my settings or with incomplete compatibility with Jelly Bean? I solved the problem by using Handcent, but I'd much rather be using Go SMS! Any help would really be appreciated!

Do different notification ringtones for different contacts work for you?

I never signed into it in the first place. But maybe it was on by default, don't remember trying.

I think it signs in automatically when you I stall the app. Don't remember, used it long ago, but I did read about it signing in automatically a few days ago somewhere.

Facebook won't seem to update when I'm on the network. Loads fine at home on WiFi. Data is good. Ping is low, speed is high. There's been 2 Facebook updates since this problem began and I'm starting to think its the phone.... Appreciate your input. Stock ROM and kernel.

I have a similar issue, but in my case the app use a lot of data when I'm on 3G, even when is idle... Not sure what is, but this is happening to me from 2 updates before, not sure if it's still, I'll try today at night. CM 10.1 RC1 and sotck kernel from CM 10.1
I think it's the Facebook app itself. The Play Store ratings speak for itself at a very low 3.6.
My issue is that my messages or news feed never loads, and I rarely get notifications when on home Wi-Fi or on strong signal outside.
Facebook app is useless for anything but the notifications. Anything else just load the mobile site.

Same here, I'm not too happy with the new version of this app... I rise a ticket for Facebook, but they haven't contact me, so I guess is probably a genneral issue

Are you using the normal text app or are you using Google Hangout. I had trouble all day today with people saying they were not getting my attached pictures. I was thinking it was just the network I was on.

Did you root and do you have adblocker plus running? I had the same problem and when I turned the adblocker off the pics went through.
Adblock plus is the issue. Thanks!

Update your prl it solves the issues. Mine does this all the time.. It gets quite annoying that's for sure..
