Can I recover accidentally deleted photo? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hey all,
I took a picture with my TP2 and when viewing it later hit the trash can button...
My pics are stored on SD and I have used ZAR to get all pics it sees but this one is not in there.
Googled my buttoff and checked the forums, but I can't find anything that helps. Any ideas?
Thanks,
DF1

lol, way to drag up an old thread .

How to recover memory card? is the common question arises, when you accidentally delete your memorable pictures from memory card. In order to recover deleted photos from memory card, you need to use relevant recovery software. I have used memory card recovery software to recover accidentally deleted pictures from my SD card. This software can also recover lost pictures from different types of memory cards like XD cards, MMC, CF cards etc. This software is capable of recovering different types of files from accidentally formatted memory cards. You can download free demo version of this software, where you can preview recovered pictures. If you find your deleted pictures then use full version of this software to save recovered pictures.

With Dr.Fone for iOS, you can recover deleted photos, videos, contacts, messages and more from your iOS devices by scanning your device directly, extracting iTunes backup file and downloading iCloud backup.

Wholly necro thread batman. Only 2+ years ago it was last written in.
I won't even start in on how this is not a iPhone/iPad/iPod touch thread, and that no one here uses iOS.

What's on the SD card?

Silly question perhaps, but like a lot of people I suspect I am new to a smart phone and to android.
When I connect the Desire to my PC and mount as an external drive, I can see all the folders. But which folders are on the SD Card - eg in which do I put new music etc into? I see Mp3 and Media. Do I have to create folders on the card (in media?) called Video, Documents etc? Does it matter what I call them? And while I am at it, are the photos stored on the SD Card by default?
I'm partly muddled because the phone came with music samples on already - but I don't know if this is on the card already (odd?) or elsewhere in the phone.
I don't have a micro SD reader to check independently.
Sorry if this is obvious to everyone else.

Just create a Music folder in the root of your SD card and create folders within that directory.
e.g. Storage Card\Music\Chris Brown\[the mp3 file]
Picture and Video files should be placed in the DCIM directory, for example, to store video files, create a new folder called DCIM, and then create another folder within that called 100MEDIA, and place picture files and video files within that.
The structure will be Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA\[the picture file] for pictures, and Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA\[the video file] for videos.
Or you can just stick a folder on the root called 'photos' and this will be picked up fine...

This.
It really doesn't matter where you put the files, as the phone will detect the file formats automatically, and place them in their corrisponding places (ie. Photos and video will go to the Photos app, Music will go in the Music app).
Having said that, mine didn't pick things up first time - had to format the card in the Desire but now all works fine
Thanks.
But how do I navigate to the SD Card to find the root from the set of folders that comes up when I plug in the phone? None of them say SD card.
I get a removable drive (G) and then a set of folders beginning Lost Dir ending Bookmarks. Among them is Media, Music, Android and things like Rosiescroll (?), plus junk like HTC news which I guess I can delete. So are Media and Music on the SD Card? But not Android?
Ah! Or are ALL of these on the SD Card? I can only see the SD card and nothing of the phone system at all itself? So do I need rosiescroll, svox, blueFTPThumbnails?

The Storage Card is root
e.g. Storage Card (root)\Music\...
That removable disk is the SD card, the Android OS and anything that is on the device by default is on the phones internal memory, which cannot be accessed yet (I guess that will all change once those clever devs manage to root the thing). I'm not too sure about apps you may have installed yourself, I think they get installed to the internal memory as well.

SD CARD FRIED...Please Help?

This morning I had opened my Photo gallery with my note 3. All the tiles were grey and non of the pictures were showing. I did a reboot of the phone thinking that would fix it and now the "Camera" folder on the external SD Card is Gone...Along with 2000+ Pictures. I've been looking up online to what maybe could have happened...
Some suggested that maybe it backed up to Google+. Didn't see the pcitures there either.
I am using a SanDisk 64Gb MicroSDHC. It still works and I am able to access the card so I don't think its fried...
Is there ANY possible way to do a data recovery on the card...I have photo's on there that I don't have a backup of and its killing me inside...
Any HELP Please...Greatly Appreciated
Take the SD card out of the phone, use a card reader, and check it with a pc. If your pc says unreadable, your card is borked. If pc will read card, SD slot is borked.

Bad way to learn about backups..
Hope you get lucky getting them back.
Google your question. There are some people that might be able to recover your info for a fee.

[Q] Pictures disappear

Hi, I have the htc one m8, stock rom on O2 uk. It's great phone and everything seems okay except sometimes photos and videos I take are there and then when I go to view them again in the gallery, in their place is an exclamation mark inside a triangle and I can't open them. This doesn't happen to all photos and videos just some and to be honest its quite annoying, I took some photos from my mum's birthday party and now they appear to be gone. The photos save automatically to my external sd card. When I connect the phone to my PC these photos and videos won't display or open. But they have different file sizes so I guess they're still there if that makes any sense.
Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
Looks like you have a corrupted external sdcard with bad sectors
Make a backup to pc.
Use a photo recovery program to retrieve them if possible
format the sdcard
try again take photo and see how it goes. Still bad, change sdcard.
Thank you I'll try it and let you know what happens.

I had this issue with a SanDisk card that seemed to be stuck in "read only" mode. I wasn't able to delete or write to the card but I was able to play read off the card. All my old camera photos, videos and saved mp3s played and copied over fine. All formatting methods have failed. Any way I can still salvage this card?
Had this same issue and I just ended up buying another sd card. OP let me know what the end result was....Still have the old 64Gb that I would like to salvage if I can.

Photo recovery

Hi! I have htc 10 with 128 gb sd card formatted as internal memory. I was transferring a photo folder from phone to laptop using USB cable and USB connection in media transfer mode. The folder seemed to be transferring alright but the pasted folder in laptop is empty. Since I didn't understand photo sync in Google photos I don't have any backup...desperately seeking to restore that folder. Need all the help
I'd avoid using the SD as internal, sounds great in principle but can cause issues if there's an interrupt..
For apps I'd use folder mount, needs root but it's simple to use and doesn't affect internal memory.
In regards to the images, did you cut the images? Copy or simply drag them, a drag would be a copy. So the original should have remained. If you cut them then they'll have been in limbo and will then be marked for deletion.
In future always use copy instead.
If the photos are no longer in the phones memory then they'll have been marked for deletion, a data recovery app on Windows and or your mobile may help but not sure.. Have had a lot of luck on SD cards when plugged into Windows but never scanned a phone as it's a live OS and I imagine it would need complete read access.
If the photos were on the SD card and are no longer visible, connect the SD card up to your computer because if they're marked for deletion and the OS decides to use those clusters, it'll be overwritten which will make it harder for recovery.
Hi,
apps from market not working for me, but Recuva has worked hundred times for me.

Lost photos after inserting sd card and allowing Z2 to move media to it

The title pretty much tells the story. I let my Z2 attempt to move photos/videos to the sd card and I think it froze, because the notification couldnt be selected. At that time I checked and my photos were gone from both internal storage and sd card. Yes I'm dumb and wasnt backing up photos to google. My thinking was I take a lot of stupid pics and I delete 80% of them and didnt want to have to clear them out of google photos also. Going forward I'll definitely back up my photos.
So I installed the app DiskDigger but it cant do a full scan without root access.
Is it possible to root without wiping the internal storage so I can do a full scan?
Usb or PC card reader and recovery software cant remember the name of the one I used, have you not got them backed up to Google photos.
