[Q] G-Sensor, magnetometer, accelerometer stopped working

After flashing a few ROM's I noticed my accelerometer, g-sensor, and magnetometer (compass) stopped working. I thought it might be the ROM that I was using so I restored stock and they still aren't working. I did a factory wipe and it still doesn't work.
If anyone has a fix for this I'd be very happy.
Also, where are these sensors physically located? I have opened my case when I fixed my spring so I want to know if I messed anything up then. Although the sensors were working fine for quite a while after.

I am having the same issue. I have rebooted and re romed like 5 times with no change.

Same problem
I have the same problem, but only for the g-sensor.
It was the same story after installing a custom rom the sensor stopped. This would'nt work again with any other rom.
Please an advice?

Sensors not working

Hi!
I got a rooted DZ with several rom's tried out.
I believe that in the Stock OTA-ROM everything worked fine.
Now I'm at the Vision-Desire-HD-Sense 3.0 .
The light sensor is working a bit, but shows at darkness 10, at daylight 40 and in the sun 160. Another Handy shows 160 at daylight and 360 in the sun.
The proximity sensor always shows 9.0 ...
Is the sensor damaged or can I replace some library's or config files in the ROM?

maybe is the rom. Try reinstalling it.

If it's anything like my Desire Z, your phone will be permanently affected by this. My light sensor just stopped working one day, and never started working again.

has 4.3 killed my accelerometer and gyro?

Hi.
Would really appreciate some help...
I updated to 4.3 yesterday on my Nexus 7 and initially all was well. However, the battery drained completely over night and when I charged the device up and switched it back on this morning, auto rotate wasn't working. I've checked that auto rotate is properly selected in the top left pull down menu - still nothing.
More importantly, Androsensor app can't find any data from accelerometer or gyroscope.
Is this connected to 4.3? Or is it just coincidence and I need to repair/replace device?
any ideas gratefully received!

Try flashing a different kernel as that is what bridges hardware and software.

Proximity & G-Sensor Not working!

Hi everyone,
I've got a few issues with my one x, (out of warranty)
The proximity sensor never works!
and the g-sensor, sometime works and sometimes doesnt!
2 days ago, it just started working, i ran teeter and it ran well, also rotation worked nicely, then yesterday, it again went off
I tried G-Sensor calibration, it says "calibration complete" but nothing happens!
Are these software related issues?
Is there any fix?

This issue seems to be in one x shipped with sensors made from MPL Invensense. It appears to be a race condition in kernel where the sensors are not initialized during boot.
There are some temporary workarounds mentioned in this forum, however they may or may not work.
So far none of them have worked for me.

[Q] WanamLite Encryption and SE Notification Problem

Hey Guys,
ive flashed the WanamLite Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928227) and everything seems to work fine.
But recently ive noticed two problems.
The first is a notification about the SE for Android. That it has been deactivated and i have to tip for more information. Whats up with that?
The other thing is that i cant use the encryption functionality. It seems to start but then suddenly i got a black screen and after some seconds the device reboots normally. Any ideas? Solutions?
