having registered to the site... and used google translate on the above link... here is what its about!
Italian to English translationShow romanization
Then, as surely someone on XDA I have read the official HTC ROM with Frøya my Desire, after having massacred between yesterday and today put some light on what works, what does not and what's new.
Given that the ROM is still (fullest) development so everything I write is related to the current version in the next version will surely improve as the catch all.
What's new compared to 1.21?
* System upgraded to Android 2.2 Frøya (FRF85B)
* Updated kernel (2.6.32.15)
* New Radio (32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04)
* Possibility (finally!) To record video in HD 720p
* Application Sharing App
* Car Application Panel
* Application Plurk
* Application Torch
* Use Wi-Fi Hotspots
Image Image
.. But not all that glitters is gold, because many applications are still missing and others have some problems, such as missing the market, Google Maps, YouTube, Footprints, and Sense does not work the location of the current position.
The keyboard in its three modes, has been a makeup is slightly different from the previous version, see screenshot below:
Image Image Image
For the moment this is all in the evening if I can oup a HD video on youtube to show the quality of audio and video.
Stay tuned!

You have not read the other thread have you?
No ROM has been posted, just a few screen shot's.
had a quick look at the other thread...
have now checked out the site.... and updated the first post with the google translation.
Hey no worries, it's real. I would have already flashed it on my device, if only I had a desire
Let 'em work on it. Official froyo is less far you can imagine.
Can anyone mirror the images please. The forum is locked down to only those who are registered.

Summary: good picture quality, low framerate (for now).

UPDATE:
As of April 23, 2010 HTC Desire users can see / buy protected apps from the Android Market !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know, this has been discussed again and again.
We have to wait until Google finished finger-printing the phone firmware and added it to the Market. Something like Google should certify the phone firmware to be able to use the Market.
Granted, no problem with that ... if Google can do it very quickly.
But how long???
This will be a long wait ... or VERY LONG WAIT
Take a look from the official Google Android Market forum support:
Even the HTC Legend is still having this issue (which was released earlier)
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=683d89c4f4fd4593&hl=en
After more than 1 month, it is still not fixed !!!
And this is for HTC Hero:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=3529bae358433fcd&hl=en
Started on July 22, 2009 ... Until March 2010 ... Or is it still till now??? Probably on certain firmware from certain mobile operators or whatnot.
I really cannot believe Google screws this great Android platform like this.
Think about the next firmware update, from Google or HTC ... We will AGAIN get this issue ... Then wait again very long.
I am really mad and hate this. The phone is nice, but this? Do I forced to find "elsewhere" (pirated, cracked version of Android apps)?
If one of you guys is capable of writing a good professional article or blog regarding this issue, we could spread the voice all over the internet / twitter / facebook / blogs / news so Google could "end" or "fix" this.
Because this is unacceptable ... will REPEAT (every firmware update) and FOREVER
PS: This is repost from AndroidForums.com by me.
It's staggering really. Particularly like google Earth. I can't get that through the android market!
This should be fixed....
will a rooted desire solve the problem?

I think so, since at that point you can change your phone "ID", so the market thinks it is a nexus/G1/X10 etc etc.
If there si a phone with full access to the market, you change your ID to that one et voilá...
how about changing from a T-Mobile ROM to a generic one?
I'm have a desire with the same issue, running the latest generic firmware. I have to source apps I can't find on the market place elsewhere. There really needs to be more urgency put on the finger printing process by Google!
Think Google have their dummy out as the Nexus isnt doing too well lol
Seriously though. This is bad. The iphone/pod does so well because of the apps. Microsoft are doing so badly because of the apps. Google dont shoot yourself in the foot.
Its sad as I told my mate today that the android just lacks big named titles then I go on cryket and there are some cool titles Gameloft & EA but not found on the marketplace when I search.
Really is a pity we have to wait so long.

Knowing HTC they probably won't release many updates for the Desire anyway, unless they've realised that in order to sell more units they need to provide fixes!

Hahaha, don't be daft now! When do HTC ever really fix issues? Thats why we all love xda so much.
This won't help ... I am using generic one
This issue is silly ... I cant support Android platform by spending money on apps. I want to do this to support Android developers so they will be happy and encouraged to develop more better apps.
If I am a developer, I will be really mad ...
Some apps are in http://www.slideme.org , but not all.

This guy is making work of the market problem. At least for the Legend. So let's hope this will also solve the problem for the Desire.
Otherwise we have to wait for root acces and alter the build.prop file ourselves.

As far as I can gather, he says nothing specifically about the market problem, he's just saying an OTA is underway for the Legend that should fix that phone's specific problems getting apps that need access to the camera.
He says nothing about the missing protected apps, and nothing about the Desire either.
Just got off the phone to HTC:
Apparently there is a ROM update to fix this in the works which will be released in "the next four weeks". She was quite adamant that it wasn't just a Google thing...
I gave her a list of apps that I couldn't download and she said she'd pass it on.
She did say that the more people that call up and report this the better. It then lets HTC know how much pain its causing.
Get calling!
Oh boy ... 4 weeks??? I hope HTC will roll out a very good list of patches!
If it will include "Flash 10.1" with hardware acceleration, then I will forgive them (HTC and Google)
Google IO conference will be on May 19 - 20.
I wrote an article about it as suggested and its up

We should spread this out.
But, why do you only mention "unbranded" ??? Because this issue happen on ALL HTC Desire devices released till today.
And also HTC Legend ... and some HTC Hero still.

Good. Thanks for the article.
But I have one of the first T-mobile Desire's bought direct from T-mobile (1.15.110.11) and I still can't see protected apps like Tapatalk, Google Earth, etc. So the problem isn't restricted to unbranded phones as your article suggests.

Just flash over verse 3.1
Built into lowmemory handling in the kernel + some optimization
Now there is no need external software that controls memory management takes care of the heart.
Rolls really well
ChangeLog 2010-08-13
Wipe of all, it is applicable, read below and you will understand why.
Chose to redo all CyanogenMods latest source with all the updates even from 2010-08-12
Nightly builds.Tog it works well from there together with that worked well in my version 1.1.
Built on some features, but mainly roe stablil now, what I think is missing now is a core
which is built on the 2.6.32 source when roe is 100 percent but may be satisfactory to the source we have today, there are quite a few grains to download if you are not satisfied with that which is in rum, Ninpo to recommend and have Feeyo got together a great core.
Removed launcherpro it put to the fc'n when it had little time but also a sense of it for your memory.
Removed PhoneBook
Remove Switch Pro
Added AWDLaunchern
Added DPSManagern
Added CyanogenMods all programs (Mass nice extra features) blah you as a user himself tweak eg battery color + add% on how to retain the battery in the status bar + lots more.
Worked a lot with the graphics, hence the patch with the text color (Read the installation instructions)
this is the best froyo rom in my opinion

Hello guys,
nice that so many people like this rom! I uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?bdujmn0ji5d4dcb to share with you and to please elelinux. He complained it causes too much traffic and i think it cost those guys money, having haevy traffic.
This rom is just great. Great battery life, stylish, fast and stable. It includes a file explorer which makes it easy to install all you akp right away, everything just works, plus some nice goodies.
So for all of you complaining about me sharing this here on XDA: I love XDA, you guys do a great job!
Additional this rom was already posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=748738

Hmm. Seems that the author of this rom closed down the download links, cause you posted it here on XDA. His FTP is not made for that many connections.
You should probably have asked first before posting it.

Well, idk, it just said on his post... translated: "Sorry, closing down all download links because someone posted this on XDA, the ftp is not made for that many connections ".
Sounded like he didn't want it here cause of limited downloads... But I don't know. He would probably tell the OP if he didn't, so
Well, I guess then OP or someone nice could upload it to multiupload or whatever to alleviate the traffic that caused blockage of the ftp And hopefully OP will take some time to clear up the first post because there are some really hard to understand passages. Anyway, will keep an eye on this one, hoping to see a download link :]

dialer one, free in the market.
or nubdialer, almost exactly the same but with fewer features (edit: ok, different features would be more fair maybe?). some people choose their product based on reasons other than features, such as license (open source), or their favorite dev.

The only register link I can find is the wordpress one, but that is clearly not the one needed as it bounces me out to another control panel that basically raspberries at my new account.

This what Droidzone says in his thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22812444&postcount=3951
Thanks, that reply wasn't there when I looked.
There was a server upgradation work on the site which led to a DNS discrepancy, hence the site was offline.
About why Supernova has a full fledged site, I'll clarify my position once again. I've spent a lot of time over the past two years on my Roms, and I've been convinced that a forum system isnt the most apt one for a development activity-it needs a full fledged site with Bug trackers, Git hosting, FAQ pages, Download link and Mirror Management, Comment trackers, and possibility of expansion. I've found that Wordpress suits the purpose very well. XDA too is considering this approach. So everything related to my Roms is on my dedicated site. There is also the significant advantage of easily updating my links or description, and clone them when they're similiar.
Why do I make registration mandatory?
1. I'd like to monitor the stats of unique users who use my Roms, and their repeat hits. Hence I get regular feedback. If I see the curve fall steeply, I can then move on to other work.
2. It keeps web crawlers who leech download links to other sites away.
Anything I publish is free. The mandatory registration is free and can be finished in 15 seconds.
