Is there a way to add favicons when pinning a bookmark to the home screen? Rather than just the stock HTC bookmark icon?
Looks like in Froyo there is. When you click 'Add Shortcut' and then 'Bookmark' you'll get a favicon for the bookmark icon.
oh well...
Was planning to wait for Orange to roll out their update, but I might just have to do some reading and upgrade myself.
So today i have installed my 4th Sense ROM on my Evo 4G and each ROM has the same problem (must be something with the phone) The market open and stays on the white loading page for about 5mins before displaying apps when you choose any category it takes another 5min and only displays the Top free and Just in tabs, in other words i cant view or purchase paid apps. Can any one tell me what im doing wrong or whats wrong ?
Is there some way i can make a change in the Sense Widget found on the right side in the Action Bar? I would like to be able to access Dolphin HD there instead of the included browser. That's the only issue I have with my phone (besides the premium data plan ).
Hi all,
I'm using HTC Desire Z. Android version is 2.2.1 and also using stock rom.
I have two issues.
First one is about facebook for htc. When I open a photo which is uploaded by my friend to Facebook from my gallery (from Facebook tab) I can write comments to that photo and also I can see tags, other comments etc. these features are good but I can't see (or let's say, I couldn't find) who likes this photo and any like button. Is there a way to do that? I don't know if next update (2.3.3 update) will fix that. For now, there is no update for my country. (Turkey)
Another one is about Calendar widget (HTC one). It shows events very well but when I selected an event (f.e. it is X's Birthday) is there a shortcut to go X's Contact Card or something like that? The widget also shows that where did it get this information. f.e. if it is Facebook then go to X's wall at Facebook. Is there a way to do that?
I saw Launcher Pro. Are its widgets do that? And I want to use HTC Sense's Home, so if I install Launcher Pro, can I only use its widgets? Or should I use whole application? (with Home Screen)
I assume the answer to this is no, but I wanted to check.
I really like the stock HTC browser - i am currently running AR HD 31.3. However, I hate it that it virtually closes background tabs instantly. This means if you create a new tab, or open a link in a new tab, when you back it has to reload the previous tab from scratch.
Is there any way to override this default behaviour? I have loads of free RAM so it's just proving to be annoying rather than efficient...
Thanks.
