Hello dear people, I'm in a trouble and need your help!
I've installed Oxygen 0.2.2 (before I've upgraded to 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 radio, a recommended one).
After reboot my sim is not recognized anymore.
System dosen't read SD card.
But I can still use phone with wifi and this sort of things.
./adb-mac kill-server
./adb-mac start-server
./adb-mac devices dosen't shows me my device number.
I can't get into recovery mode anymore....
Please give me some suggestion?
P.S I've already done hard reset. But no luck.
sim card and sd card not recognised by htc desire miui rom
Hi all
Aplha Rev S-off, Amon Ra recovery Htc Desire 2.2
I just installed miui rom update over miui.19 r1 and my phone stopped working and it is showing sim card error, I tried 3-4 different sims and non of them are working. another problem is it stopped recognising the sd card same i tried 2 others but no luck
please can you help me as i have back up the sd card so can not restore as well as its not recognising my card.
any tips or tricks please, as i can not go to htc customcare as i have already voided my warrenty.
i tried using different sd card when i tried to do nand backup on new card just to check if its appear on system then it showed to start backing up then
Error: Run @[email protected] via adb
and if i tried to upload backup file flash zip from sd card in recovery then it is saying E: can’t mount /sdcard
I have backups of past around 3 different backups , but they are on my cards and my phone is unable to detect sd card so can not go further.
Is there any other way to do restore on phone using backup files, if its not detecting sd card
2) I checked my sim problem as well, sometimes it shows me the arial symbol for network , but when i try to call it shows me the error ” Mobile network not available”

please help me and do reply, i know its not nice to see problems n no one is happy to sortout, but i will really appreciate it.
thanks
Raj
Same problem no solution yet?
Hello.
If you need to mound SD Card try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531310 , maybe it can help you.
If you succeed in mounting the SD card the you should run the PB99IMG from hboot, and this will bring you back to stock with no ROOT and no S-OFF.
How to extract the PB99IMG from the lastest RUU WWE 2.29.405.5 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880268 (2nd post).
@alinuxos I think that running a RUU might solve your problem by getting you back to stock.
Was there a fix for this?
Hi my desire will not recognise my sd card at all, i have tried to follow most guides but im not getting anywhere.
I have instaled the android sdk and adb fastboot ect
and i have tried to enter the 'fastboot oem enableqxdm 0' command.
It has worked once, fastboot said succesfull, but my SD card is still not recognised.
I have tried several more times but i just get errors saying 'failed too many lines' or just three dots and nothing happens
...
like above.

It might sound a bit extreme but I would repartition the SD. What you have described is a symptom of a mispartitioned SD. It very well could not be your problem but it helps you eliminate one possible cause.
Thanks for your replies, can i just ask what the comand is for unmounting sd card?
And how do partition sd card? Do i just connect to card reader and format or is there more involved?
Sorry bit of a newb at this.
Just to add the problem happened after i rooted my desire, flashed a rom and the phone got stuck in a boot loop.
I have now reflashed stock rom and rooted again.
Cheers in advance
When i try and mount my sd card in recovery i get error cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (nosuch file or directory)

For managing partitions Gparted is recommended. Delete partitions and make only one FAT32. It has to be primary. If you still get that error try "fastboot oem enableqxdm 0" again.
Still no luck guys i used gparted, and reformated the sd card.
Now i cant get the fastboot oem comand to runn at all.
either get:
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
...
(then nothing happens)
Or: an error saying failed too many links??
Anyone any more ideas, i think ive well and truly bricked it??
Try another sd card. Maybe this one is damaged.
Thanks for the help so far. I swaped the card with a friend and my phone recognised their card, but there phone did not recognise mine. So there is a prob with card.
My pc recognises it tho in a card reader, did I not partition it correctly with gparted?

Yes. You probably made logical or secondary partitions instead of primary. Both FAT and ext have to be primary. Remember, FAT first.
I seem to have a wierd problem going on with my desire, where the ROM does not seem to be able to detect the SD card. Its is just completely greyed out as if it is not there, but if i go into recovery and mount USB, i can access it.
Ive ready about USB bricks but not sure if i have one because i can access it from recovery?
I have stock gingerbread, rooted, with clockwork recovery (used revolutionary) i have tried putting a number of different roms on and every rom has the same problem!
Ive looked on the internet for hours but cant seem to sort it out.
Bit of background may be usefull...
My phone was recently water damaged about a week ago, it was playing up, restarting as soon as it was turned on and all sorts, completely un usable. So, i took it apart and cleaned it with rubbing alchohol put it back together and it worked fine - except for the SIM and SD card. When i tried to access the SD card from recovery it would just throw back an error. Phone just reported there was no sim inserted. Took it apart again and see some of the adhesive was over the circuitry, so i removed it cleaned it up some more, then sim card worked and the SD card worked (from recovery). Problem is, as my post says, it the SD card doesnt work from within the ROM, or any ROM
Obvioulsy ive questioned this being a hardware problem, but then how would i be able to access it at all from recovery! It doesnt make sense, and software issue is wierd as i have flashed many roms, unless there is something else i could try.
Im pretty stuck, so any suggestions are appreciated.
The following command should re-enable the access for sd card:
Code:
fastboot oem enable qxdm 0
You have to run this in fastboot mode.
SwiftKeyed from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
Thanks, i tried this before posting as i see it somewhere else but it didnt work, i get the following error:
(bootloader) [ERR] Command error !!!
OKAY [ 0.006s]
finished. total time: 0.007s
Any ideas?
My fault. It has to be
Code:
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
There must not be space between "enable" and "qxdm".
That command seemed to go through fine, but doesn't seem to have made a difference unfortunately
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
If the command worked then try another SD card or format that SD card via recovery.
Thanks for the help so far..but I tried both them options and neither makes a difference!.

What rom do you currently run?
I'm currently using the stock 2.3. Which I rooted with revolutionary. Ive put other ROMs on though (restored my original mondaco custom r11, and tried cyanogen) and none of them can see the SD card either. Literally only way to get to it from my pc is to mount usb from within recovery.

Ok my new sim/sd card component came through today, swapped them over and its fixed!! So it was a hardware issue.
Still strange how it was accessable via recovery and not via the ROM.
Thanks for your help anyway
The phone was rooted with unrevoked3 and It was S-off. I downloaded Kernel Manager and tried to flash 2.6.35.13-gingertiny-v2-111920112.zip. Well, something went wrong. It gave the 5 vibs on reboot. I tried to follow the instructions at pvillecomp's page, but I am stuck on fastboot part, it won't mount the sd card. It did turn on while I had it plugged to the computer, which is Linux Mint, and it looks as though it did a factory reset. I am at a loss on what to do, Oh yeah, in the boot menu, it is S-ON now. Any ideas on how I can get it to mount the sd card? Thanks in advance.
Okay, I have been reading a lot, and it looks like I can't do "fastboot oem enableqxdm 0" while the phone is S-ON to mount either external card or internal storage. The phone works, just no SD Card or Internal phone storage, it says Phone memory "total space: 748 MB, and Available space: 659 MB". The SD card and internal storage say "Unavailable". So, basically I have a "half-bricked" phone. This really sucks. And since I don't know how exactly it happened, I don't know how to avoid it next time.
Give this a try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110865
Thanks Jack, that is one of the threads I already looked at, I can get it booted but I can't use fastboot because of S-On.
Okay, I didn't read ALL of that thread, seems that you don't need S-Off to do this, all I need is z4 root, but when I tried to download it from the web with the android browser it said I need to mount the SD card to download. How can I download the apk without the SD card mounted?
Did you you fix the SD Card issue first by doing this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
I have tried this but this part...
"SD Card Fix
Press & hold vol down and power on the phone
Select fastboot by pressing the power button
ADB commands
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
fastboot reboot
That should fix your SD card not being detected."
...doesn't work, when I do the "fastboot oem enableqxdm 0" it says "waiting for device" and stays there, maybe my linux isn't set-up with the adk correctly?
After messing with the phone some, I discovered that I still have root access and clockwork is still there, it did not do a factory reset, but I cannot get it to mount the internal or external sd. To get the phone to turn on I have to pull/replace battery, power+vol-, then go into fastboot, plug in the usb, then choose reboot, the phone will then boot up without the 5 vibes. The phone works as a phone, but that's about it. Anyone have any ideas?
There seems to be nothing I can do to get this phone working right again. I was able to mount the external sd and flash the PB31IMG for froyo, it appeared to work, but still the 5 vibes, and now I can't even boot up with the usb cable attached like before, I think it's dead. I found a used dinc on ebay and bought it. I'll keep messing with the old one but at my level I don't know if I can resurrect it.

Have you tried this?
http://pvillecomp.com/?page_id=33
Yes, was able to mount the SD card with those instructions, but now it will not get past the 5 vibes.
Running ICS and my SD card won't mount anymore it happened during normal operation tried to fix through fastboot still no luck can't be seen in hboot or in recovery and doesn't show up in ICS any ideas on what could have caused it after looking I'm leaning towards hardware
sorry but i don't have a fast answer. However you should check the troubleshooting guide maybe you can find something.

Yeah I've tried the SD card stuff from there was hoping for a way to test the slot through fast boot I've tried another card no luck
right ive given up as no fastboot commands will let the device see the sd card ive gone and ordered a new sim/sd card flex card and am wondering if anyone has a guide on how to replace it or similar
right so ive changed the micro sd / sim flex cable same issue the sd card did randomly mount itself the other day but stopped not long after the sd card is working fine still in pc and doesnt matter how i format it doesnt mount in the phone other sd cards ive also tried didnt mount any ideas what could be the problem?
Which fastboot command(s) did you try / use?
Did I read that right you can read the card in CPU or card reader? I had this same issue before I rooted and was running stock happened shortley after I purchased phone it turned out that there was something wrong with the card put in different card and voila it worked. I inquired with the carrier and they couldn't give me an answer as to why it happened or what. Hopefully this provides some help
Sent from my desire CDMA running CM7 Stable using TapaTalk

Flash 2.3.3 RUU. If SD card can be mounted, get S-OFF and root with Revolutionary.
RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28 U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe
apears to be the right one i dont know if its 2.3.3 tho just try installing that one?
You get the 2.3.3 RUU from the HTC Developer Center.

nope no luck when reinstalling stock guess its a motherboard fault and i cant be bothered to replace that so thanks for the help learned a few things
Try this
I had very simpular problem many times. Try this:
Boot into recovery, select advanced options, mount USB. Connect to pc, till you see the drive come up on your computer. May take a few times plugging in, back out of mount. You can verify it working in recovery, I just go into "install zip from sd" and see if there are files/folders. Unplug, then select to restart device.
Has worked for me a couple times, I have been doing a thousand other methods in the last 6 months. Some worked some didn't, this one has been the easiest and best results. Hope it works for you.
