i have a TW version of TP2. i'm a real beginner about this kind of stuff...
i want to:
1) have interface in french (optionnal)
2) be able to recognize, write (transcriber or typing), read, any chinese (simplified) characters, for any applications on the TP2.
so should I:
1) install chinese ROM then change to english language? (or french)
2) singapore ROM, HK ROM? ( my S/N is taiwan, can't get any other rom updates from HTC.com)
3) install french ROM, then add 10 .cab files to be able to do all of it?
4) other suggestions?
I'm lost, and i'm Real beginner...just did HardSPL...

So there is still no CID unlock available for this device, which seems to be rather complicated.
But as there is the German and French Rom uploaded into the Forum, I was wondering, if there is an easy way of replacing the language files on my KS20?
I've never had a mobile phone which was restricted to one language, that's very strange.

i need english! i have french now. i found something strange...i have unlocked one with code and the message that the unloch was successful was in english
Anybody knows how to enter bootloader mode? without that any unlock or gps enabling shouldn't be done.
There is no english rom at this time, ks20 is not shipped in england.. But good news is that flashing new roms is possible!! now there is only greek, french, poland and german rom availible.

I am planning on purchasing a CHT 9110. The chinese version of Trinity. I prefer English rom but Chinese will do since I can read and write in Chinese but I have a few questions:
1) Does the Chinese WM6 Rom also have the letter recognizer and transcriber input methods like the English rom?
2) I assume I can install English WM programs onto a Chinese WM6 with no problem? Please let me know if that's not true since this is very important to me.
3) I have heard that the "contacts" in the Chinese WM6 may be sorted by the number of "character strokes" instead of alphabetical ABC. Please let me know if it is possible to sort by alphabetical English ABC because all my contacts are in English.

Hi, mi dear modder friends, i wanted to know, how can i change the language in a HTC Excalibur, a friend of mine killed it, (i dont know how), and i was able to update the ROM to this one: 1.33.422.1 (Worldwide English, WM6), but the problem is, he doesn't know very much how to speak or read english, so i am asking to you all please to teach me how to change the lang to spanish? thx in advance

You would need to download the spanish version of the rom I believe.
So just let me get this straight because the new 6.1 rom has spanish as a t9 (texting) language however the whole phone is not in spanish. Try this okay...
To install eT9 keyboard mapping changer: 1) Download THIS. 2) Transfer all the cabs and the .css file to your \Windows folder via ActiveSync 3) Place the .lnk file in your 'My Documents' folder 4) Using 'File Explorer' (on your phone), click on "Excalibur eT9 Changer" and pick the layout. 5) Reboot your phone

Thanx 4 the detail, but the truth is, i rather stay with Windows Mobile 6.0, haven´t had any trouble with my Apaches WM6, though i cooked my own kitchen but had some errors hehe :´(, well the thing is, i wanted to know if someone has any ROM or if they can make a ROM which includes spanish as a language (as in REGIONAL SETTINGS/LANGUAGE), as i said b4, my friend doesnt mangage to speak or read english that much as i can :-S Thanx in advance, if it wasn´t by all you modders we wouldn´t have the pleasure to upgrade

Wen i try to change the language in the setings of the phone, after i resert, the spanish language always aper again.
How can i change to Portuguese language?

Wen i put my Serial number of the phone, it only show me the touch diamond spanish "Touch Diamond Spanish 2.03.412.2"
How can i get the Portuguese Rom to put on the phone?
I just want my PDA with stock programs, but in Portuguese language.

hi, try doing a search on the forums for the diamond port language rom, i dont all roms or a matter of fact any roms have multi lang built it into it, but for the Portuguese language rom. Try here see if anything comes up http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Diamond_Upgrades
or see if a cooker can cook a shipped rom, and change the lang for you.

I already try to install the new rom that i download with that portuguese serial number, but it say ID error.
I must run a CID program. I try the Hard SPL, but the new portuguese rom does not work again.
Can anyone help me?

I have the possibility to buy this phone, but a French model. As I would buy this phone for my father, I would like to set the language of the phone in Dutch. I've seen there are custom roms available, but my question is, is it also possible to put an original Dutch rom on a French htc touch diamond? I've searched a lot onto this topic, but the information I got is very confusing. If yes, where can I download the original Dutch rom? On the site of HTC? Can I give a serial of a French model to download the Dutch one?
I would be very pleased if someone could give me a clear answer.
