[Q] mytouch slide extended battery? - myTouch 3G Slide Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i just want to know if any one has seen a extended battery for the mytouch slide and if so where did you see it thanks

search ebay?

The touch pro 2 battery kinda serves as one. Its 1500 mAh. I'm getting good battery life as it is stock but I just got a tp2 one on ebay for $10, its OEM and it was local. They might even be cheaper if you get it from Hong Kong or something. Its a bit thicker but fits. Going to strip off the taping on it and see if any plastic can be snipped away to make it fit perfect.
And I havnt looked to far into it but sedio also makes a 1750 mAh for the TP2 that fits under the TP2's stock battery cover. Dont know if its any bigger though physically.

I will second the touchpro2 battery. I get about 15% morwe life out of it. If you take sandpaper and round out the top-side edges its fine. Just dont go to deep or you'll trash the battery.

yea I think I killed mine by taking the tape off hehe it did fit better though. It has some metal sheet right under the tape thats like tin and all bent up now.. under that metal is the actuall battery with the tin removed it fit good but I donno if I would want to leave it like that

My TP2 battery and 16 gig just came in the mail (along with my desire )
Do i just get regular ole sandpaper from the store and then be careful not to go too deep? (twss) I got two so I am not too worried about failing.
As soon as my files copy to the SD I will be giving it a try, maybe ill post it to youtube.

I took my aunts touch pro 2 battery to test it and it does indeed work but the cover doesnt close enuff on it. I had some ideas... Maybe shave the battery cover from the inside down and bit but it might be too thin since shaving the battery might ruin it. Anyone can show a write up on how to shave the battery down so the battery cover closes properly cause I want to buy the extended slim battery for the td2 since its the same size as the regular.

I have yet to try this but...
... in searching google, I came across this site : http://bit.ly/af1zvb. They're just offering the stock battery, but you see at the bottom, under "Compatible Models" they list the Eris and Incredible. I almost want to go into a verizon store with my battery and see if they'll let me compare the sizes. Unless anyone knows someone with one of those. Of course it could just be nothing. But, if it is the same size, we could get something like this: http://bit.ly/aAyYeC. They say it works with EVO as well.

O hell yes I need to try this

Google strikes again... (in a good way)
I wrote down the part number of the battery, which is: 35H00127-04M, and a google search later it looks like it's the same battery as the Eris, Legend, Wildfire and probably a slew of others. I think I'll order that 1750mah on amazon when I get the money.

I found on ebay a eris battery that is 1500 and its like $7 and looks like it has some of the same slots and puzzle pieces as the slide's battery does. Anybody get one yet?

I have been using the 1800mAh battery that I purchased for my HTC Snap, and it is working great. I was thinking that the battery was bad when I was using my Snap, but now that it has been being used for about a week, it is lasting me throughout the day without any issues.
I just noticed that it is currently out of stock, but this is where and what I bought: http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.info.../es109514_es120302495377/Products/HLI-T7373SL

It doesn't look like it from the pictures but did you have any problems with having the cover fit properly using this battery? Did you see a great battery life improvement with this battery as well? I found the same one from amazon, but unfortunately I can't post the link because I'm a new user...but just search "HTC snap battery" and it's on the first page

Just to let everyone know that the hero battery fits perfectly in the slide and its 1500m

i just verified that the droid incredible battery fits perfectly in the slide and verizon is releasing a 2150 mah battery by the end of july for the incredible, i will be keeping an eye out for it. Edit*- Just read that this battery is not stock size. will keep looking for an alternative.

Sedio has an extended life battery for the Incredible that is 1750Mah says it fits in existing space but it is pricy at $49.95, so if it the standard Incredible fits I'm thinking so should this.
I'm new so can't post a link so just search for Seidio.

I really do not notice a great improvement, but there is improvement. It fits well, there is just the slightest bit of seperation between the cover and body.

Is that the Sprint CDMA Hero or the GSM Hero. Both according to HTC are different.
EDIT: Or they're the the same only different mAh.. But hmm if the Sprint Hero fit with no problems, unlike the TP2 one I'm sold.
Edit 2: Well it seems Sprint wants the Same HTC battery for all their HTC Phones so the Evo, Hero (CDMA) and the TP2 all use the Same RHOD160 Battery. I'm just worried about the fit since others mentioned the Back not being able to close.

Well I used the sprint hero battery the other day and it fit perfectly same size and everything

Is it the RHOD160 (35H00123-00M) Model like the TP2? It's OEM right?
The back fits just fine? That was what were mentioning before that they needed to trim it up a tad so the back would fit.
I'm thinking of getting 2. 1 for me now and 1 for my Wife when she get's her Slide.

holy crap, looks like the phone is pregnant.
You realize of course that the cover provided with this battery is quite different than that required by the EVO right? I for one don't plane on duct taping a battery into my phone until the official cover comes out. Better to WAIT.

I'd tend to agree - they look longer, and they also look like they mount in a different direction in the case. I have a feeling battery cases will be all the rage. Maybe Mophie already has one coming (as they make for the iPhone). I sent them an e-mail...We'll see what they say if anything.
extended batteries for the cdma hero will work....well should work.
Just so everyone knows the battery from the HD2 is a 1230mah and the standard one in the evo is 1500mah. So you will have to find an extended battery that works with the Hero or the TP2. Even then the battery covers will not be the same. I'd just wait.

I was considering getting this extended battery; I know people grade the batteries with mAH numbers, but as mentioned above, have you noticed a significant increase in battery life compared to stock? Like something you could equate to %?
I use the Seido 1750 mAh battery as well. It gives me that little push that thenstock battery couldn't and it keeps the same form factor of the DInc because you can use the same battery door.
I too use the HTC 2150mAh battery. I changed it out and went back to stock and to a 1500mAh that I bought from HTCPedia (will be returning as it looks worn) but I always come back to the 2150. I didn't want to change the form factor of my DInc but the performance is 2nd to none. I think now it's time to get one of those cases from Seidio...
i'm still looking for good extended batteries
The 2150 is a great choice, used mine for months until I decided I wanted a sexier case. There is still a couple of case choices for the 2150 but they're limited.
Great battery life on it though, I honestly never worried about my battery life at all when I had it on.

depends are you coming from stock battery? If you are then it's a very big step up in battery life.
Personal preference here, but the added weight and size suits the phone well- and with that black cover case it all goes together nicely. If you are particular about having your phone very thin and light then you may not want to get it.
Amazon looks like a great spot to pick them up:
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Incredibl...R0ZA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312953980&sr=8-1
I bought mine from amazon but they were in the 40-50$ range when I did, looks like they've dropped the price since then.

yeah, looking for somewhere cheap, hours being slashed down to 1 to 2 days at my job, and i can't easily afford that, as well as an 81 dollar bill (may end up on sprint soon if they are bringing wimax 4g here like they said.)
I have the 1500 evo 4g battery that I got right from Sprint. It pretty much destroys the stock 1300 inc battery. By destroy, I mean that I can get about 24 hours out of it if I charge it when I get home from work, wait until it's fully charged and then unplug it. So it's pretty much not doing anything overnight. I have the htc 2150 and it's just too damn big.

I've had the Sprint extended battery for about a year, and it is terrific so far. I easily doubled my battery life, and WAY outlast all my friends (and wife) who have the same phone and general usage.
Also, I prefer the larger battery for one reason: it sits in my hand SO MUCH nicer now. I have fairly large hands, and the phone was so slender that I felt I was always clenching my fingers tightly to keep it in my hand. Now when I hold it, the notch created by the protruding battery sits on my ring finger and keeps the phone still and balanced without my having to tightly grasp the sides. I love it. I wouldn't buy a slender battery again, personally.

Glad Papa set me straight...(?) I've been using my for 6 months, and it seems to get better as it goes along. I did try some of those el-cheapo specials on ebay, won't do that again. I'm like some others, I do like the fit with the Sprint extended battery, and with the right rom and kernel you can rock some serious battery time.

Awesome, wasn't sure if it was online only.
I think it's good for folks who don't live near Verizon stores.
This does not work on sprints version. The tabs do not line up for the cover and its the wrong color
The only down fall is it has the Verizon logo on it. I'll double check when I get home. I'll have to check it when I get home.

This is correct. Sprint doors and Verizon door tabs are different. Color is the same though.
I wonder if something can be done about it.
I jumped on the deal thinking it would fit, great price, and I was going away for the weekend and an extended battery would come in handy.
That being said, could it be that some of the tabs would fit in? Or is it completely different?
I might have to go to my local Verizon store in the morning and see if they have it in stock.

I just got Sprint doors in today for my business. I checked the fitting on my Verizon GNex just out of curiousity. The only difference I found is one tab on the right side that is out of alignment. Essentially you could remove that tab and have a fitting door. Granted it might be loose in that area but fit nonetheless.
EDIT: I'm sorry I just did a visual check of both doors side by side. The Verizon has 2 tabs on the middle of the right side as opposed to the Sprint version with just one placed inbetween where those 2 are located. You could remove those 2 tabs, but again you'd have a loose door in that area. Those are the only thing that make the doors different, all the other tabs are the same.

For $25 it's a good deal, and will come in handy. The only sucky part is the Verizon LTE logo in the back
This was mentioned the first time these batteries went on sale but you can fit the stock battery door with the 2100 mah batteries. I'm using the stock cover on mine (vzw gn) with the extended battery. It bulges slightly but hasn't caused any problems. My incipio case fits over it as well.

Can you post some pictures of these batteries and compare them size-wise to the stock? I have a 3800 maH battery, but it is way too thick for my liking, would just like to see what the 2100 battery looks like with the cover.
I have another extended battery coming (they were back on sale over the weekend for $25 so I picked up another) and will snap a pic of it next to the stock battery when it comes in. You can't tell any difference in the phone with the stock/ext. battery since I'm using the stock door. I also picked up a Ringke slim case and it fits with the ext. battery/stock door no problem.

Thanks. If you can, get a pic of the battery and door in the phone. I am curious how much bigger it makes the phone. As I said before, the 3800 is just too unwieldy.

I just got this battery in the mail today. It is only a mm or two thicker than the stock battery. With the cover in place, it is even with the bottom of the phone versus slightly concave with the stock battery/cover. It does not at all look or feel like an "extended" battery. Not unwieldy at all.
I'm sure its not unwieldy. Does it feel different? If you weren't looking for it, could you tell? Sorry for all the questions.
Also, how does it perform? I am trying to decide whether to get a spare stock to switch out or this extended battery. Thanks.

Will The Door Fit?

Thursday i bought a 3800mAh extended battery from ebay with sprint in the title and also on the battery itself from the pictures i saw. I looked in the description and it also said verizon in it and was a tad confused as to will it fit. For $15 i figured i might as well try it out and see but it gets here monday. I just wanted to know if anyone knows if it will fit on my sprint galaxy nexus properly? or maybe i will have to make some alterations as long as it works? link for it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370639867086
Note: Battery also says i515(Verizon)/L700(Sprint)
Yea that should fit the phone fine. I have the seido 3800 battery and it Has a similar back as described in the pic.
The bad news for this battery is its a cheap Chinese made one and typically they are made of cheap components and won't give u what Ur expecting in battery life....maybe I'm wrong..let Me know the life of it.
The back of the case is slick and I found I needed the 3800 hardshell case to avoid it from falling out of my hand. You may need it as well.
The NFC function may not work with that battery...but Google wallet isn't something I find myself using much anyhow so no big deal.
If the battery sucks...I recommend the seido 3800 as ive been using it for a year and get a full days use fairly easy.

Not sure if this is where I bought it but its what I have. Double the price of Ur battery. Lol. Go figure. Anyhow....like I said the back of the 3800 battery case would slip out my hand...so I had to get this.

Well the battery came today and had 53 percent left on it. Currently im doing the initial first full drain and so far im already very very impressed! I can already see an increase in battery life. The door fits perfectly on both of the batteries(I ordered two of em) with no problems what so ever. Great so far
Okay im slightly confused, should i drain the battery first or charge it fully overnight?
