did anyone notice that android does not support pinch to zoom and move the object simultaneously? the only way is to finish pinching and then move.

I may have gotten this one wrong, but AFAIK the "buttons" we have below the screen are just a part of the screen's extended touch-sensitive layer. This should also be true for Diamond2's/Touch Pro2's zoom bar. Which brings me to the main question.
Is it possible to simulate the zoom bar of HTC's new PDA generation on the HD's hard buttons area? Can we create such a module/program/whatever that would let us use the zoom bar by swiping a finger on the area below the screen?
Call -> End call
Zoom in
End call -> Call
Zoom out
that sounds quite interesting. maybe theres already something possible with some modification in apps like sensor scroll e.g
Well, this could theoretically replace one of the axes of the missing D-pad (probably the x-axis).
Yes, It's possible.

I'm already start the development and finish about 60% already.
I will upload the zoom bar on hd movie later.
I searched the market and forum but couldn't find the answer. Is it possible to reassign the down volume to take a picture instead of using the optical button?
I kinda wish it was possible to press the trackpad button to automatically open the camera app instead of having to navigate to it.
I also would love to know if this is possible. The Droid x has a dedicated button for it which helps. Pressing the optical track button pushes the camera forward where it is not natural to brace against resulting in a moving camera while taking pictures which makes everything blurry. If we could use one or both of the volume buttons it would alleviate this tendency to move he phone while taking a picture.
Is this achievable through an application or would it have to entirely replace the camera app?
I am trying to crop my photos but it does not give me the possibility to adjust the size of the crop. Only a square that I can move around.
Anyone else having same problem?
Seems you really have to hit the thin lines to be able to pull it.... would have been nice if it would have been a two-finger gesture inside the square. Or can apple patent that one? anyways...
Touch the edge of the square and you will see arrows appear, these allow you to set the cropping area
Am I missing something or is it basically impossible to swipe into the camera roll while the camera app is in landscape.
Start a little further in, just to the left of the camera controls.
Perfect, thanks. I was trying to find a sweet spot between the camera controls and onscreen buttons when all the while I could have swiped from almost anywhere on the screen
What's the point of the pinch zoom in on the home screen? Zoom out edits the homescreens, but zoom in just takes me to a blank set of homescreens with no dock (just the page indicator) and no option to do anything. Settings and long press do nothing. What is this for?
I think there is nothing special about it. You can show others your wallpaper without any icons for example..
