When I turn on 4g it won't obtain ip address? How do I fix this?

Hello! i have following situation; in order to connect to internet on my pc i need to connect to my wifi router by wifi or ethernet and then i need to dial broadband connection with my credentials (username and password) to connect to internet. I have Desire HD and i can connect with wifi to router and i have access to local network but in order to connect to internet i should dial broadband connection from DHD but i can not figure it how or i found application which would allow me this option. Does anybody have some idea how could i connect to internet from DHD from my home network?
Hey i have the 1.72 rooted ROM and i can connect really well to most WIFI networks. However there are some networks that my PC connects to but my DHD just says obtaining IP address for a long time and then disconnects
is there any fix for this?
i also installed somthing to connect to Ah hoc networks and when i try to connect on a ad hoc with no Pass it still says "Obtaining ip address" but never connects...
ANY HELP PLEASE?

Is there anyone out there that know why my I phone can connect to my 2wire
2701HG-B and it gets an ip address but it will not connect to any web pages. I can see all my computers on my local network but that's it.

Well found the problem. Just give it a static ip address..

mine connects but there is no internet..>.>
figured out my own issue, apparently my router was giving my phone a different ip than the phone wanted, so all ihad to do was assign the ip my phone wants from the router manually.
Ok so i was wondering if i can make android connect to a router by MAC address because in my area theres 2 optimum wifi's overlapping each other one has about 4 bars and the other has 2 bars. And if android sees 2 wifi with the same name and encryption it will only show one and keep switching between them, very annoying.
