Why do al these programs start-up as soon as I boot my Desire?
Is there a way to cancel all these start-ups? Like in Windows where you can adjust your msconfig file?
These programs are all started when booting:
Clock
FM-Radio
Agenda
System
Gentle Alarm
AudioManager
Photoshop.com Mobile
Photos
Twitter
Gmail
Footprints
Messages
Advanced Task Killer
Thanks in advance!
"Startup auditor" works for me. Is free, in market, and doesn't require root.
@sawfoot:
sorry program isn't free - 0,99 € will be charged

One of the first applications I installed on my new HD was SBSH Calendar Touch trial. However I'm not sure if it's working correctly, in the way how it starts from the calendar links, and whether it's a bug in CT or a "feature" of WM.
This is how it's works for me:
- tapping an event in the regular today screen (no TF3D), brings up Calendar Touch, but it doesn't go to that event. It just starts the application in its default view.
- tapping an event in the TF3D home screen (the list under the clock), brings up the plain WM calendar (and doesn't go to the event either).
Is it supposed to be like that?
Hi everyone,
I have a quick question: on my TP2, with the official 6.5 ROM,t here seems to be an app which eats up a ot of resources, making the device unusable for a few (long) seconds. I noticed that in the photo viewer, youtube app, opera etc. the taskbar (start bar) keeps popping up over the running application, rendering the device unusable. Is there any way to see what app is responsible for this? It causes massive performance problems....
Thanks,
Nic
my guess it is something you have installed. What do you have installed
I don't think it is something I installed. I have facebook, core player, iGo, Advanced Config, HD tweak and spb traveler...
Later edit: I just started the camera and the task bar popped up on top again.... so I have this in camera mode as well
Greetings
I just got my desire a week ago and i love it ... however, the battery inst one of the phone's strength points .. the phone lasts about 1 day while playing games, using the internet , downloading stuff and so on ... and 2 days with just receiving calls and checking e-mails every now and then.
My home screens have lots of widgets that need syncing :
- 2 E-mail accounts
-Facebook
-Weather
-Espn Score center
-you tube
-news widget
I know this would drain lots of battery .. but whats the idea of gettin a smartphone if i cant use it for this kind of stuff
I used advanced task killer to kill running apps b4 i lock my phone.. however whenever i unlock it again and open task killer.. i see that the apps are running again
so here is what am lookin for : a one button widget that simply with a push .. enable or disable the launching of any applications in the background + syncin them
is this possible? .. my phone is running the stock rom and non rooted
Thnx in advance

u know what .. after reading this article .. i dont mind keeping those small apps running in the background.. but what about syncin all apps at once on demand? is it possible?
There is a standard "sync all" HTC widget

yeah but this sync Gmail,Facebook and weather only .. I was wondering if there is one that sync each and every app/widget on the phone that can be synced.. something like pop3 mails ( my university mail ) , news widget instead of refreshing it manually and even ESPN score or any other 3rd party app
oh and i deleted task killer .. but what if i ran a game and forgot to close it.. this would definatly eat battery .. and there is no way to know if the game is running since the long menu press just shows the last 6 used apps not the 6 running apps..right?
and believe me .. i used the search button :d
thnx in advance

Where the hell are tasks synchronized?
I already go through HTC documentation, googled, but nothin...
For task sync I use RemoSync Business and inside application I can see all the tasks, but I need them to be viewed in more general application (calendar, mail, etc...). The best option will be some widget to show them.
Any ideas?
tasks
I use google for everything cal, contacts. mail an tasks, all sync with google so if anything were to happen to my phone I've always got my data secure.
check the google play for gtasks to display ur tasks in a widget.
Hope this helps
It's not built-in. Try astrid or any-do from the play store. Astrid is more feature filled but any-do has a really nice UI. Both have Widgets and Google tasks sync. Astrid also has another more powerful online sync.
Correction, it is Any.Do
