Hi there,
I wanted to upgrade my Qtek 9090. But i dropped it on the floor and now the screen turned white, but it still reacts on touch it. I dont know what is wrong with it, and i dont want to open is. Thus i want to make somebody very happy with it.
There is only a catch. I live in the Netherlands and i don't want to invest in sending the thing off to somewhere in the world unless somebody will send me something in return.
So my question is who want to invest in sending something back for this phone? And will have the honor to do so?
The phone will come with the usb-cradle, adapter and the phone of course.
So let's see what you guys will send me in return. Most original reply wins!

XeneRoX it's not my idea to get money for this phone. It served me perfectly and i've got enough HTC phones to keep me busy.
As I said in my first post: I want to make somebody happy with it, but if i invest my time and money in sending the device i want something in return. Dont think in big expansive stuff but original or something different.
To give u an idea what i mean with original. My girlfriend came up with the idea that who ever receives my qtek will send me a photo of him and the family he settled with. Please note this is my first ever HTC device and is my "little" baby.
So please spark up those creativity thoughts and let me know what you came up with.
Oh almost forgot i wil post a picture of the phone tomorrow.
as much as i like your contest and i like that its another give away contest on the forum <something that i havent seen to any other forums so far?,i dont find a very good idea for people to send private infos to total strangers.on the internet
i dont want to imply anything bad and i think its nice that you dont wish to make any profit of it by selling it on ebay BUT when you said in the end of your post for whoever wins the phone to send you a photo of him once he receives the phone,that i thought it was too bit risky.
you see the thing with the internet is that anything can happen becouse you dont know who is who and you only see a chat name and thats all.so unless it has to do with online stores like ebay for eg i wouldnt recommend to people to send those kind of private infos to strangers like a photo of themshelfs for eg.
and then again sorry i did not try to insault you.its just the way i see it.

In that case, here's my gift...
I'll take the phone around with me as I travel to different places and e-mail you pictures of the phone in different areas. (e.g, If I go to a lake I'll take a picture of it by the lake, if I go to vacation somewhere...)
I could even make a website with archives of everywhere the phone has visited.

That's a good question. I am real busy with planning and executing music events and festivals this month. So I wil announce the winner the last day of this month.
So the 31st of march the winner will be revealed. Than everybody can give his input and i will have the time to send the device.
i will send you a 2GB microsd card....kinda crappy but i am a poor collage kid.

Mine is an spv 80000 or something like that it was a gift from a new friend of mine in Switzerland can you believe it... fully functional he sent it to me for free, we are happy he knows that i keep it in nice maintenance and I help him with his new device...

I will ship the device, i will pay for shipping the device. So the only thing I ask is for the person to send me or do something original in return. Well, i do have a bit of interest in this as well (my BA is beginning to come apart)... I have never been too good at many things, but I can send you a small sculpture made out of chalk (think of a Totem, or an Easter Island head kind of thing). Hopefully, you will consider it. APRIL FOOL . . . .
I was going to do a review on my case, the yellow one, but it was stolen from the mail on saturday october 23rd....I was expecting it and when I checked my mailbox it wasnt there, the USPS said it was dropped off, that was online though so maybe they made an error, I really hope so!!!!
This isnt the first Item stolen, the site I bought it from charged for $6 to have me sign it at delivery.....

If a signature was required the postman should not have left it in the mailbox. Are you sure he/she didn't leave one of those cards that says you need to go pick it up at the post office. If the mailman just put it in your mailbox without a signature you need to go talk to the post master at you part office

Yea, sure hope this wasn't a common thing. Emailed support though. I don't recall seeing anything in the description about it being a UK version.
It doesn't affect too much on the layout, but it is a bit annoying. I'll post back if/when I get a response from them.

Well, I have good news. It would seem that they are accepting returns on the webtops with a UK keyboard. The email seems like it might be just a script/automated message, but it should work.

sup guys got mine today, using it now. Didn't even notice the keyboard thing till i saw this thread.(smh..it said it on the box) look like its a common thing. other than the "@" and "2" functions being switch around everything is good. i think i'm going to stick out and don't bother trying to get a exchange plus itook the stickers of already (feel like the uk version is probably the only one they have)
Yea, that's what worries me. Also, it's not going to be exactly cheap to send a box of that size that weighs 5 lbs. I think I'm going to reply back to them to make sure I'm not going to waste time & money on getting the same thing.

Looks like the "other model 3 is 9SIA0MC0932943. I went ahead and put it on order, but might cancel if someone confirms this is not US model. I think it is not, as the latter model # is out of stock.

update sent email requesting info on keybrd in stock. It was forwarded to someone else who replied asking what i wanted (request was in email she was forwarded, and in turn responded to me on). Final response was "We can not guarantee that the keyboard will be either US or UK". I will not do biz with these folks after dealing with them and also from reading all the probs other folks had with their service.
Yea, they gave me the same thing when I sent mine back. We can't guarantee that there are US keyboard ones in stock. Got a refund, and I don't think I will be ordering from them any time soon.
Just head to ebay or Amazon. Surely a few more dollars to guarantee a US keyboard is worth it. As for me, I'm going to hold off until webtop 3.0 comes to purchase a new one.

Oh you guys had me scared. I did end up getting a UK keyboard version, but that's just the labels on the keys. Shift + 2 still gets me @ instead of ", for example. So unless you intend to use the lapdock for learning how to type, it won't be a problem.

that's a decent price. normally about $100 with shipping. you might want to check which model they have (UK or US).
The first batch of S7 active have the waterproof problem. Samsung told that they fixed it in the second batch and replace first batch for free . So when we buy phone from ebay. How can we check that phone is fixed ? The date it was made or imei ?

I read some articles saying that it's not specific to any batch. The best strategy is to bring the phone underwater and see if it holds. Good news is that this phone is pretty new so even if you buy from Ebay, it sure is under warranty, as long as the phone is not on any blacklist. Samsung is getting quite good in customer service, at least in my experience. I bought an S7 active from Ebay which has serious scratches and re-booting issue. I called Samsung, sent the phone to them and around a week later, they send back with new main board, new screen and essentially everything new. No more scratches!

No I'm in the US. I just called the Samsung support contact on their website. They didn't ask me for proof of purchase, just the IMEI. They did, however, ask me to stop by Bestbuy first as they have a specialized technician there to see if that guy can help fix the issue. Since that guy couldn't help, they sent me the shipping label to send the device to them. In the end I didn't have to pay anything

I have had horrible experiences with them and almost never receive my items so I really don't want to order them.

Anyway, to give you all a heads up, I have ordered one, but so far it's still "processing". I wanted to make sure it's not a scam site before I posted, but from what I've seen, it's either legit, or a really REALLY good scam. I've gotten an order number and order confirmation, I have confirmed that they are located(and ship from) Sunrise, FL here in the States. They have a 1-800 number, and while I didn't speak with any representatives, it does greet you with the company name and everything. The credit card statement also shows the same zip code and website, though with a different phone number. I submitted a question to their ZenDesk about shipment tracking info, but have not heard back yet. The other weird thing is it says the cover is an "iPartsBuy" cover, and iPartsBuy themselves claim to be out of stock. Maybe some kind of merger or inventory purchase? I managed to find the back covers for sale on Alibaba, and it even mentions them having NFC. Unlike the other listings on Alibaba these have a minimum order of 1 so you don't need to buy more than you need.
