Android Market - password setup - Desire General

Hi
Is it possible to have password verfication everytime I want to buy an app? Just my 4 year old son has bought quite a few apps recently, whilst I wasn't looking, bless him.
Maybe someone has already answered this one, apologies if so, but I couldn't find solution.

App Lock
Hey riz157,
there is a very cool app "App Lock".
You can lock several apps/functions with it - even market or settings.
There is an free version (with ads) and an pro version without them.
You can download this app via market.
Greetings from Berlin/Germany

download market enabler
Already tried that, doesn't make any difference, shouldn't there come a field where to login?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
no - after u manually install market enabler(google the app) then launch the app, hit Save Seettings(for future use) and longpress the us line for instance - then select fake this provider
it should then ask you for root permissions, and voila - ur done
now u got paid apps...
That did the trick, the market enabler downloaded from market, didn't work at all...
Market enabler is not in market because google banned it once :-/
There was some other market fix, dunno what that's for then

Ro manager Premium

Hi everybody. It seems that i have a problem regarding rom manager Premium. I purchased premium the first time using paypal. Once i rebooted my Desire the premium version was gone and i was stuck with the free edition of the app.
So i said what the hell i'll buy it again and consider it as a donation. Once i purchased again the app through paypal the next morning the premium edition was gone again and this time whtiout rebooting. What is left for me to do as i send a message to koushik email that i found inside the app. No answer yet. Please help!!!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Uhm, the premium icon dissapears after reboot you should still have premium, try to open the Rom Manager and see if it doesn't say premium anyway...
yeah the premium rom manger icon disappears when you run rom manager. Click rom manager and click rom via barcode and see if that works. if it does it premium addition you have and all working
i still have 2 RM icons around (standard and the premium one) after several reboots and RM runs.
if I loose premium functionality (easy to find out with "check for ROM updates") I just launch APPBRAIN and grab/install the premium module again. APPBRAIN remembers that I already paid for that and lets me get it again (and again...).
haven't used the standard market app in a while - so I don't know if it works the same...
thanks for the quick reply. if i click to check via barcode it says that i need premium to do so.

I tried that, and it didn't work. I cannot buy it in China...
Then all I can suggest is Market Enabler from the market.
But you do need root access.

Maket Enabler can make me see the buy option, but I still cannot buy it...
Is it possible if you use a proxy? If so, try Tor (either on your pc or use the official Tof app called Orbot on your phone)

How to buy an app if I used a cracked version before?

I used a cracked version before of some apps. Now I want to buy them, and.. I can't.
I see on the market what I have purchased that app, but I can't download it, because I'm getting an error that I haven't paid for an app. Which is true.
So how then I can buy it? How to make Android market believe, that I don't have that app?

Props on coming clean.
Use TB to backup app data.
Uninstall.
Install through market.
Restore data.
Hi,
Thanks for quick reply.
I did that already. I uninstalled the cracked app, deleted appdata and cache before uninstall. Restarted the phone, but still in the market I see that I "purchased" the app.
App is not on my phone, but Google thinks that I purchased the app.
I tried to uy the app using pc and browser. Still the same.

This seems to be a serious flaw in the newest implementation of Google Play. Every app you install, even if you got it from GetJar or Amazon or XDA, Google saves that info to the cloud. If it's a paid app, the cloud thinks you purchased it - except that when you try to download it, Google won't let you because you didn't purchase it there. The web store, viewed from a desktop, gets confused too. So there's no way to actually buy the damn app.
I'm currently experiencing this with SetCPU (downloaded free from author's thread on XDA but the newest version isn't there) and Smart Office 2 (was free on GetJar but they don't have latest version).
Ironic workaround - you have to hack the HTML to force Google to let you buy the app! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23356474&postcount=18

Q. No calculator ?

Just got my G3 yday and noticed its not an calculator app. I researched and noticed some ppl have it and some dont. Did the software update remove the calculator or it was never on the phone?
Try Settings->About Phone->Update Center->App Updates->Idle Apps
You can install and uninstall LG apps from here. Maybe yours didn't come pre-installed with calculator but the app should be available to all G3 users.
You can find much better ones on the app store anyway. Been using a really good scientific Casio clone one for nearly a year now.
