Hiya...
I have tried searching for anything todo with bluetooth not disabling... I dont even use bluetooth but accidently turned it on the other day, and since then i cant turn it off... I am running MCR r2 with no problems until this...
I have tried turning it off but it just sits on "turning off..." have turned the phone off and back on at this stage but bluetooth re-enables... have tried going into aeroplane mode and trying to switch off bluetooth before it activates etc.... Still no luck.... is there another way of turning bluetooth of?!?! Stopping a service/process or anything!!
Any help would be great...

No-one have any ideas?!?! Its eating my battery and i dont fancy reflashing my ROM just to sort it out... But i guess if needs must
Is the bluetooth controlled by the Kernal or by the actual rom!? If i could get away with only flashing the Kernal with a known good one then im happy with that!!

When you turn off the phone option, it will turn on again if its done within 5mins, but it wont turn back on if you leave it off for lets say 30mins. You need to soft reset it for the phone signal to be enabled again.
Is this a common prob with the BA and is there anyway to fix it, Im using wm6. Also enabling the wifi conn takes quite a few attempts after a soft reset.

for Wifi, I'm also experiencing the same thing when activate wifi via comm manager.
I thought it may be the ROM that is unstable or have some bugs. I'm myself using WM 6.1 made by xplode.
May be you can try to activate wifi via Start->Settings->Connections->Wifi
If I activate wifi via Start->Settings and so on, I didnt need to do soft reset, the wifi just run fine. Try it. Hope it helps
it seems like a battery problem. i had that problem before, it got fixed when i bought a new battery.

I couldent find how to shut this off. whenever i call or awnser a phone its default is speakerphone on. ever since upgrade to 2.2 any ideas how to shut this option off

I also was having car mode randomly turning on/staying on.
I think its due to a bad usb port. My phone would turn on speakerphone, carmode, and Bluetooth all the time...
You need to get it repaired. That's the only thing that fixed mine after endless searches, flashes, and frustration

I just got my Sprint GN a few weeks ago, and love using the bluetooth to connect to my car audio, but every 3rd or 4th time I get into my car I notice the bluetooth doesn't pair, so I take out my phone and look and the bluetooth icon is gray (instead of blue, indicating it has connected), I toggle the bluetooth off, and then when I try to turn the bluetooth radio back on it just sits there saying "bluetooth is turning on...". Bluetooth stops working until I reboot my phone
Does anyone have any incites into this or anyone else experiencing this?
I have the same issue. It's no solution but you can enable/disable Flightmode to get Bluetooth up and running again (but quicker then reboot).

Yeah, I tried your solution again, and it just keeps saying "bluetooth is turning on..." even after I've turned *on* airplane mode.

Or alternatively (Because it sounds like you're running a stock Galaxy Nexus...) ave you tried unpairing, and the repairing the devices?

I actually did a complete factory reset a couple days ago, and the problem has yet to resurface, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's gone, but the issue was intermittent so there is no way to be completely sure it won't show up again.

At first I thought it has something to do with JB roms but I tried going back to stock as well. Wifi will not turn on! Even bluetooth sometimes doesn't turn on. Send phone in for repair?
Ok, so wifi is working now but bluetooth is not? It's like one will work but not the other!
I just reinstalled the lastest ROM (Marshmallow) from my carrier and I found the wifi won't enable during plane mode. It even prompts (only the first time) me that wifi gets turned off when I switch on airplane mode but should I wish to use wifi I can just go ahead and turn it back on. I used it for a couple days as normal after last time I installed the same ROM, same problem but I swear it fixed itself without me doing anything purposefully. Now after the resintall it is back... So I wonder, what the heck is actually going on? Sorry if I lack any more useful info here, I try to reply asap!
Self update: I found the solution in https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/59664/possible-to-turn-on-airplane-mode-with-wifi-on-only Looks like my ROM had the wrong setting about airplane mode radio and all you need is adb to correct those settings. You can even tune radio so they do not get disabled when you enable airplane mode. Very nice solution which helped me out! Still does not explain how it was fixed on its own before though. Arh whatever, it is repaired now!
